Forty-seven years ago, Jimmy Carter - a Southern farmer, hero for his actions in taming a nuclear reactor incident, pioneer in the nuclear war service and an important figure in healing the country after the Nixon debacle, took office as the President of the United States. An interesting meme caught hold a number of years ago where it was announced that Mr. Carter was dead, then make fun of the people who come to the thread until it was removed by social media moderation. Sadly, this was not some sick joke by demented crazies.

Now, Mr. Carter will pass away in the next days or weeks at most. This is 100% certain. If he is not respected as a president, he is and should be respected as a humanitarian and a person who served the United States as a patriot. Right or left, it is time to come together at the end of this amazing man’s life and respect his accomplishments.

Well As I was taught by my parents and grandparents to follow the Golden Rule and respect the Ten Commandments. My current church welcomes everyone regardless of race, color, nationality. They also do not discriminate against the L***Q+ Community. One of the associate pastors is a female member of the L**T community. We know members of this congregation who are Pro Choice. My believe is that God and his son Jesus loves all without exception. That was the way I raised. That is the way we raised our 3 daughters. There are several definitions of Nationalism. (1) Identification with one's own nation and support for it's interests, especially to the exclusion or detriment of the interests of other nations.(OED) Christian Nationalist definition: A Belief that America is defined by Christianity and that the govt. should take steps to keep it that way. That's what their commercial says and according to Chief Executive Officer Mary Barra GM plans on going fully electric by 2035....or more importantly, 12 years from now. Now I know you cons still think you can stop the US conversion to a fleet of electric cars but the auto industry is planning for it as are your oil companies with oil giant EXXON planning for a full conversion by 2040 (17 years from now)...this according to EXXON CEO Darren Woods. That's not that far away and since those who drive our economy are planning on the conversion I don't see that there is much you Cons can do to change what is most certainly our future.
