A perfect explanation of a liberal progressive:

The dilemma is this: Those whose views are being corrected resist the correction quite vigorously because of that human foible we call ego. People do not like to admit that they have lived the bulk of their adult lives subscribing to a serious intellectual error. Thus when a great ideological correction begins, for example, in the field of political-economy, they resort to sophistry in order to defend the older way of looking at things that they have supported for most of their lives. This is because 95 percent of humans, who are past 40 years of age, are no longer seekers of t***h; they are seekers of “support for their previous convictions.” This is what makes them feel content in life. T***h, therefore, takes a back seat to protecting their egos and the convictions they have held for several decades.

The men that attended that meeting in Jekyll Island were either all tied to big banking or big brokerage houses. The only individual that was not was Senator Nelson Aldrich. He was the one that led the campaign in the senate to establish the Federal Reserve Act.

Senator Nelson Aldrich
Paul Warburg - Kuhn Loeb & Co
Shelton Pratt Andrew - Asst. Secretary of the Treasury
Henry Dawson - Senior Partner, J. P. Morgan & Co
Charles D. Norton - Pres. 1st Nat'l Bank of N.Y.
Benjamin Strong - Lieut. to J. P. Morgan

The Baltimore Sun is definitely not known as a Conservative news-paper, and this very well written assessment of the situation in the USA comes as something of a surprise. This will obviously be called r****t, and will upset liberals, but they should really think about the message and this interesting point of view.

The Black Dilemma

For almost 150 years the United States has been conducting an interesting experiment. The subjects of the experiment: black people and working-class w****s.

The hypothesis to be tested: Can a people taken from the jungles of Africa and forced into s***ery be fully integrated as citizens in a majority white population?

The w****s were descendants of Europeans who had created a majestic civilization. The former s***es had been tribal peoples with no written language and virtually n0vo intellectual achievements. Acting on a policy that was not fair to either group, the government released newly freed black people into a white society that saw them as inferiors. America has struggled with racial discord ever since.

Decade after decade the problems persisted but the experimenters never gave up. They insisted that if they could find the right formula the experiment would work, and concocted program after program to get the result they wanted. They created the Freedmans Bureau, passed civil rights laws, tried to build the Great Society, declared War on Poverty, ordered race preferences, built housing projects, and tried midnight basketball.

Their new laws intruded into peoples' lives in ways that would have been otherwise unthinkable. They called in National Guard troops to enforce school integration. They outlawed freedom of association. Over the protests of parents, they put white children on buses and sent them to black schools and vice-versa. They tried with money, special programs, relaxed standards, and endless hand wringing to close the achievement gap. To keep white backlash in check they began punishing public and even private statements on race. They hung up Orwellian public banners that commanded w****s to Celebrate Diversity! and Say No to R****m. Nothing was off limits if it might salvage the experiment.

Some thought that what W.E.B. DuBois called the Talented Tenth would lead the way for black people. A group of elite, educated b****s would knock down doors of opportunity and show the world what b****s were capable of. There is a Talented Tenth. They are the b***k A******ns who have become entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors and scientists. But ten percent is not enough. For the experiment to work, the ten percent has to be followed by a critical mass of people who can hold middle-class jobs and promote social stability. That is what is missing.

Through the years, too many black people continue to show an inability to function and prosper in a culture unsuited to them. Detroit is bankrupt, the south side of Chicago is a war zone, and the vast majority of black cities all over America are beset by degeneracy and violence. And b****s never take responsibility for their failures. Instead, they lash out in anger and resentment.

Across the generations and across the country, as we have seen in Detroit, Watts, Newark, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, and now Ferguson, r**ting and l**ting are just one racial incident away. The white elite would tell us that this doesn't mean the experiment has failed. We just have to try harder. We need more money, more time, more understanding, more programs, and more opportunities.

But nothing changes no matter how much money is spent, no matter how many laws are passed, no matter how many black geniuses are portrayed on TV, and no matter who is president. Some argue it’s a problem of culture, as if culture creates peoples' behavior instead of the other way around. Others blame white privilege.

But since 1965, when the elites opened Americas doors to the Third World immigrants from Asia and India. People who are not white, not rich, and not connected, have quietly succeeded. While the children of these people are winning spelling bees and getting top scores on the SAT, black youths are committing half the country's violent crime, which includes viciously punching random white people on the street for the thrill of it that has nothing to do with poverty.

The experiment has failed. Not because of white culture, or white privilege, or white r****m. The fundamental problem is that American black culture has evolved into an un-fixable and crime ridden mess. They do not want to change their culture or society, and expect others to tolerate their violence and amoral behavior. They have become socially incompatible with other races by their own design, not because of the r****m of others - but by their own hatred of non-b****s.

Our leaders don't seem to understand just how tired their white subjects are with this experiment. They don't understand that white people aren't out to get black people; they are just exhausted with them. They are exhausted by the social pathologies, the violence, the endless complaints, and the blind racial solidarity, the bottomless pit of grievances, the excuses, and the reflexive animosity. The elites explain everything with r****m, and refuse to believe that white frustration could soon reach the boiling point.

You can't legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government can't give to anybody anything that the government doesn't first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they don't have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

My comments about this message:

1. You could totally miss the point of this piece. If you are a liberal all you could see or feel is the vitriol within yourself when you read it. I think the points that were made were valid and explains a lot about how the b****s have been manipulated by the government visa via the welfare system and our society in general.

2. I've always said that you can't legislate morality, but in examining that premise I was and am wrong. If a black mother has the opportunity to garner additional monies from the federal government by having more babies the moral issue is abandoned for the carrot that the fed's dangle in front of her. The same holds true when it comes to the premise that if I can get money from the government without working for it, then why not. It then begs the question of the system rigging and again manipulating those lives to the point that they become dependent upon that money, which it turn goes on for generations, and the frustration of self worth is perpetuated .

To me that demonstrates the hopelessness that the b****s feel when it comes to them getting out of that situation, which in turn leads to crime, such as dealing drugs and wh**ever events (such as r**ting) that they feel can get them some degree of satisfaction against the system. A perfect example of this can be seen in most major inner cities, especially in a city like Detroit or St Louis.

3. The culture within certain segments of our society, mainly the black community has been disadvantaged significantly by inferior educational opportunity, welfare, poor job opportunity and especially the lack of a father figure to guide and discipline the children within that community. Self respect is a great equalizer when it comes to the develop-ment of a young mind, and his/her integration in a society that is often difficult for a young black person.

4. President Johnson's "The Great Society" was and is a perfect example of how the war on poverty has failed. I guess that is why in the beginning I always felt that by legislative fiat you couldn't legislate morality. Mostly from the stand point that big government has never been able to solve social problems from a distance or with money.

5. There is one point in this piece that I totally disagree with. That is the premise that most in this society are tired of this experiment. What I think that needs to be done is a re-examination of the methods that have been used (the social manipulation) and direct the efforts more on education and in some way a mentoring program that can uplift this segment of our society. What is missing in this, should I dare say great experiment, is the presentation of incentives, other that money, that would give the black person some degree of hope that they might propel themselves to obtain a better life. Internationally we had the Peace Corp. Why couldn't we develop a similar program here in the U.S. that would foster that mentoring program, and put forth those incentives, to help not just b****s, but all minorities?

In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinborough, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior:

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that v**ers discover that they can v**e themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always v**es for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship."

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to complacency; From complacency to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage."

Why is it that Michael Grimm is being asked by Pelosi to resign his congressional seat for the misuse of taxes when Al Sharpton owes 4.5 million in back taxes, and Grimm owes 1 million. The Media reports very little about Al's debts, and a great deal about Grimm's debt. The Media is doing as much to ruin this country as the POTUS, but it is never brought to the people's attention.
Pay attention folk's.

I'm sure that most of you have seen the commercials that say if you owe $10k or more we can help. Don't go to the IRS alone, we can get you debt reduced.

Well, if you owe the money, you owe the money, right? However, having asked the question, think about this. If they can reduce the amount you owe, just how do they do that? If the system was designed to exact a certain amount of anybody's income then it is owed, unless the system is a fraud. And that is exactly what it is, a fraud, a s**m. A little research, no a lot, will prove it to you.

Before we dive into the stinking cesspool that is George Will's recent and vicious attack piece on Vladimir Putin, a few words on the topic of 'sophistry' are in order.
Sophistry is a rhetorical art form which relies upon ingenuity, fallacies and specious effectiveness rather than soundness of argument. A 'sophist' (in the modern day sense of the word) is therefore a person who debates adroitly but reasons superficially. In some cases, sophistry is used to cover up one's underlying ignorance of the subject matter. Other times, the purpose of sophistry is to deliberately mislead.
What distinguishes the sophist from the run-of-the-mill ignoramus or liar is his ability to sound intelligent and well informed. In some cases, the sophist will indeed display sound reasoning and deep knowledge on a given topic. But when an ignorant sophist opines on matters which he does not understand, his bloated ego compels him to 'f**e it'. Whether he is a cunning liar or simply a puffed-up fool, the tactics of the sophist are the same.
Sophists are generally quite erudite and engaging, combining a powerful command of the language and excellent diction with a vast vocabulary of $100 words that they throw around to impress their weak-minded targets. The really effective sophists are also sk**led at using body language to enhance their phony facade of deep wisdom. Dramatic pauses for effect, nose in the air, pensive looks, constipated grimaces while speaking, pen-in-hand while making a point, and a hand-to-the-chin-and-lips (ala Rodin's 'Thinker' statue) are some of the more recognizable gestures of the show-time sophist.
The break down:

Sound to me that you must be talking about Obummer.

There are only two groups of people who favor unlimited amounts of money in the political system - those who have it - and those who want it.

The new spending bill has ensured that both groups will be happy. The Wall Street banks may now go back to the same types of high profit/high risk ventures, that ruined the economy a mere 6 years ago, thus ensuring new cash to provide the politicians with, for their 2016 bids. It also provides for unlimited amounts of money from single individuals/groups/corporations, thus simplifying the politicians search for cash.

You are absolutely right. It's all about the have's and the have not's. If you really think about it, it goes all the way back to the Lincoln era. But the real theft didn't start until the late 1800's. The first bust came in 1895 with the robber Barron's, and again in 1907 when J.P. Morgan orchestrated a financial collapse. He, and others, did it again in 1929. However, there have been many busts since, mainly orchestrated by the same people in power. 1987, 2000 and 2008 all come to mind, and all had the same affect. As you stated, it all came out the pockets of the taxpayer (middle Class). This next go round, I'm afraid there won't be much left of the middle class, if there is much left now. Jim Rickard's has predicted that this time around it will make 1929 and 2008 look like a picnic.
It should be no surprise that this bill passed, with little dissent, as both parties desire the money provided by the bill - and from many of the same sources. After all, the best way a rich person can guarantee that THEIR desires are met, is to provide cash to BOTH parties, thus ensuring that no matter WHO wins - they will be beholden to them and will do what they say.

The only losers in this type of behavior, are the vast majority of the American public, who have lost their representation and who will pay the price for another failure on the part of those who have provided the very funds that bought their representation away from them. You see, the economic system did not fail in 2007-2008, it did exactly what it was designed to do - extract as much wealth from the middle class as possible - then reboot - and extract some more. Why was anyone surprised that record bonuses were paid by these banks, using tax payer money? That's how the system was DESIGNED!

Now, the stage is set to do it all over again, just like has happened EVERY time before - and the same people will suffer the consequences - which is NEVER the bankers or the politicians who allowed it - in fact, they PROFIT from it every time. So, not much can be done in the mean time, but people need to REMEMBER this - when it comes time to v**e again in 2016 and remember WHO did it to them - which is both Democrats AND Republicans - and v**e independent, thus, screwing up the organized crime syndicate that exists now.
There are only two groups of people who favor unli... (show quote)

Those are my concerns as well. However, if we don't get someone like Kasich or Walker to run then for sure as hell we'll get Hillary. And to make a point here regarding the liar from AL, she will be no better and maybe even worse than Obama.

And here's another point. The Republicans will never win another Presidency unless they stay on point (their message, about their issues and agenda) and not try to defend themselves against the lies that are put out against them by the Democrats. Just ignore them and keep repeating their message. It worked in Louisiana against Landrieu. Bill Cassidy just ignored all the tactics put forth by the Demo's and kept to his message and it worked.

What about the guy that lost his ID in Mexico. When he tried to get back in the U.S. the border guard said that he had heard all that before, and was denied. The guy "said I can prove I'm an American". I have a tattoo on Bush on one cheek and Reagen on the other. The guard "said this I've got to see this." The guy drops his pants and show the guard. The guard responds, with, yes I can see that you are an American, I recognize the picture of Obama in the middle.
