Will the Kasich plan gain traction? And derail the usual suspects in their quest for the republcian nomination?

Unlike most of the other hopefuls, Kasich has a proven track record, a pragmatic philosophy to taxes and spending, and no apparent scandals in his background.

Hopefully the country will recognize his great potential

cold iron-I agree. Kasich is a good man but may lack name recognition. He could be strong if the establishment got behind him totally. I also like Walker. But, even though he is not running, Romney leads the pack in a match-up against Hillary. The republican field is too large right now and the ego trippers need to bow out. Good Luck America !!!

I agree with you 100%. Did someone sneak a body snatcher pod under your bed last night?

I believe both he and Walker could be serious contenders for the Presidency.

As I read about him I liked what I saw till this part came up !

I don't like that part about him !

He expanded Medicaid over objections from the Republican legislature. He supports Common Core, the national curriculum standards.

He chastised fellow Republican governors last month for being too combative in their rhetoric about immigration. And he upset the deep-pocketed Koch brothers by proposing a higher levy on fracking, the drilling technique for natural gas, in order to pay for an income tax cut.

Those are my concerns as well. However, if we don't get someone like Kasich or Walker to run then for sure as hell we'll get Hillary. And to make a point here regarding the liar from AL, she will be no better and maybe even worse than Obama.

And here's another point. The Republicans will never win another Presidency unless they stay on point (their message, about their issues and agenda) and not try to defend themselves against the lies that are put out against them by the Democrats. Just ignore them and keep repeating their message. It worked in Louisiana against Landrieu. Bill Cassidy just ignored all the tactics put forth by the Demo's and kept to his message and it worked.

Looks like we're on the same page !

I'm pretty much in the Walker camp and I've always said the Republicans need to do a better job of making their message clear and to the point and as you said keep hammering it all the time and folks will come around !

Always be on the offense !

Plus there is no and will not be any perfect candidate but we need to defeat the progressives in both parties !

Kasich has (2) very serious issues that tells me something much deeper in his thinking will come forth. The education of Common Core, which is horrible and then the expansion of medicaid that tells me he will also expand the health issue. What is needed one who will hold up "One nation under God", our constitution, the pledge "So Help Me God', Trust in GOD on our money and all of those Core Values.
