Lets see the GOP led congress do something positive that actually does create good paying jobs and grow our economy. It is time to put up or shut up. congress better get to work and quit doing nothing.

The only jobs government creates are government jobs. The government can create the atmosphere for the private sector to create good jobs, and that has been lacking for the last six years. The destruction of the middle class in this country has been the first priority of the present administration. A GOP lead congress, just may make some headway in this endeavor, but it's going to take more than words. And I believe that their present leadership are not up to the job.

There is a concern evident on OPP that the gains of the senate takeover by the repubs could be negated by McConnell being the new majority leader.

I believe these concerns are well founded and wonder if him being the upcoming leader is a done deal, set in stone.

Or could some other senator be installed there.

McConnell's raise to majority leader is not chiseled in stone, but you have to remember that there are a lot more progressive Republican Senators than conservative Senators in the chamber of congress. He had surpassed the "Peter Principle" when he was minority leader, but as we see in government the more inept you are the higher you go.

The Koch brothers in their lifetime have not done as much damage to this country as Obama has done in six years. Haven't these i***ts on the left got anything better to do than attack them.

Our southern border will NEVER be secure as long as we have an insatiable appetite for dope. And now with marijuana, the entry level drug, legal in many states, the hard drugs be in greater demand. The dealers... including politicians, past and present... will do anything to profit from this illegal activity. God help us!!

You forgot the big banks that make money laundering this dirty money for the drug cartels.

The thing about arguing with a fool is, after a few minutes the people cannot tell which one is the i***t. Jack2014 has proven that that the liberal/progressive movement is made up from the brain dead mentally disturbed, don't lower yourself to his level.

Is it possible for a person to be more confused as one who would suggest libertarians and N**i's are the same, while endorsing government power expansion that was so necessary for N**i's to be - while libertarians want to shrink government.

Such illogic goes beyond dumb and enters the realm of delusion.

How right you are, we do not have to keep reminding ourselves that liberalism is a mental disease, these fools do it for us.

The only difference between a "moderate" Muslim and a "radical" Muslim is the "moderate" Muslim is out of ammunition.

I understand that poor people cannot manage their own affairs, so a case could be made to exclude them from governmental operations, but the middle class ARE capable AND represent the overwhelming majority of people. So why are they not represented? There is no legal reason why a middle class factory worker could NOT be a Congress person or Senator, so why are they excluded and why are we satisfied with that?[/quote]

How many middle class people do you know can raise the amounts of money it requires to run for office today. The day of the citizen lawmaker is gone and the offices are for sale, especially in our federal government. The media sells the candidates, and usually the one with the most money wins. The money usually comes from special interest groups and the politicians need that money so the constituents are at the bottom of the list for service and corruption rules.

It has always been a mystery as to whose homeland the DHS is securing, but it is plain as day it's not ours. Since the day progressives took rule of this country, politics trumps national security not the other way around as it should.

I held my nose as usual, and v**ed for Romney. Only because the alternative was so bad it didn't deserve a v**e.

It has been apparent to those that are willing to keep their eyes open and their ears tuned, that the real enemies to our country are in the government. Politics is all encompassing and rules over common sense and national security.
It will take more than a strongly worded article for me to push for putting Romney on the ticket again. As the saying goes, "action always bests rhetoric" so lets see action for a change.

I really don't think it was so much of "We got him back" as it was in giving the terrorist five of the most vilest of terrorist back to them in trade for a t*****r. The real t*****rs we have today are in our own government. Way back when I was in the Marines, our motto was "Death Before Dishonor", and we lived up to it. Can you imagine the politicians of today with the intestinal fortitude of just living up to their oath of office.

Funny that, BD, because in the jihad porn videos terrorists release after cutting someone's head off, Cheney is never mentioned. They do, however, mention Mr. Obama in less than complimentary terms. I get the impression he's much more on their minds than Cheney is.

That Dick Cheney remark was made to me, but I've given up on this guy. You cannot argue with anyone that is that willfully ignorant and blind, if the handwriting on the wall was in neon lights these liberals would still miss it.

The liberals with their high and mighty socialist ideology are doing exactly what Khrushchev predicted, taking down the f**g and all it ever stood for and surrendering freedom. I only have one question for you, who are you going to blame the next terrorist attack on our country on?
