You bulls**tters never stop! THERE IS NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE OF G****L W*****G!!!!! YOU CAN NOT PROVE IT!!!!!! All you can do is throw out a bunch of left-wing gibberish with NO scientific backup or proof. For every scientist who believes in this crap, there are 5 to 10 that say it is NOT proven. Reid has walked a fine line over the years, occasionally breaking rules or engaging in brazenly unseemly behavior during his pursuit of wealth. Further, he has also used his position to save money in ways that the general public can’t -- a practice that creates public relations issues and raises questions about the senator’s ethics. As for any illegal behavior or obvious wrongdoing, Jon Ralston told RCP, “There’s been some smoke but there’s never any fire on that.”

There is quite a bit of smoke.

A person my wife knows tried to get to the ranch in NV. Here's her account. She's an attorney in LA.

Subject: Here's what the news won't say about what really happened in Nevada

From a person that went there, drove there from L.A.

I rolled into Laughlin really early, like 5:30 am. So many people had shown up, that we decided to leave in groups. A second group to leave at 8 AM as scheduled. Ours was a big group too. About two dozen cars, loaded with passengers.

The highway was almost empty until near Mesquite. Then it was a traffic jam. Motor homes, campers, ATVs running along side the freeway, motorcyles, vehicles, every thing you could possibly imagine. Everyone on their way to Bunkersville. Then it about stopped, just inching along. Word traveled down the traffic line that the feds had blocked the road just out of Mesquite and were searching vehicles for weapons and cell phones. Cell phones were confiscated and smashed. The people were given a chit for $30.00 redemption value. I left my phone at home. Some of us that had four wheel drives decided to just leave the road and head overland. As we got closer to the ridge, we were stopped by armed m*****a. We could not go any further. We could wait, or turn around and go back to the road. Men, that I suspect were special forces, had climbed the ridge from the back side and captured the snipers. They were at that moment coming down the ridge to take them to Mesquite where they would be let go. They weren't prisoners, they were just going to be replaced by friendlies.

Because of the roadblock on I-15, people refused to be searched, and refused to turn back. They just pulled off the road and parked. It was like a dam backing up a river. Soon the feds were trapped between the Americans who had already gotten through, and the Americans that had been stopped on the highway. The B*M agents went into full panic mode and called for help. LVPD which had REFUSED to show up to help Americans HAD to show up to rescue B*M that was now trapped and helpless. The blockade was SEVEN MILES LONG! That's a potload of people.

A group of armed Americans along with local cowboys went to Mesquite to liberate the cows that had been confiscated and held by B*M. They were being driven back home in an old fashioned cattle drive. The feds say it was voluntary, don't believe it.

I was basically standing around twiddling my thumbs when the word came down that the Director of B*M had surrendered and all forces would be withdrawn. I could not go on. The road was blocked and would be blocked probably for the rest of the day at least. A bunch of us turned around and left. It was over. There was THOUSANDS of people there, and more arriving every minute. The ranch, Gold Butte, the entire area was completely surrounded by Americans. The highway was completely blocked in both directions of people trying to get through. Everyone was very peaceful and friendly. No fights or anything. There was a rumor in the line, that some of the mercenaries hired by the feds had defected and were now on the side of the Americans.

At one point, I-15 was closed in both directions, about seven miles south of Mesquite, because protesters had blocked the freeway. Nearly two dozen police officers and a SWAT unit were at the scene to keep the peace and assist the B*M enforcement officers to safely leave the area. They were scared crapless!
From a friend . . . br br br br A pers... (show quote)

That's pretty much what I saw too. I was stuck in the traffic on I-15. I got up close to where all the LVPD vehicles were, and then was stpped for quite awhile. I'm glad I wasn't searched...I had a cell phone and my Springfield Armory XDs .45 Cal on me. But, I was actually only trying to get back home to LV. I agree, it was a zoo.

I do know one of the Bundy's (Ryan) as he has done a lot of work for me on my Utah property. A very religious, and swell guy. I wish his family the best.

If it's about property rights and the US government owns the property, aren't they within their rights to collect the fees charged for use?

First, the grazing fees are exorbitant, which has driven out all of the ranchers except Bundy. Second, the B*M is supposed to use the fees to make improvements to the land, which they have not. Instead they used the money to buy out several ranchers. Thirdly, the excuse "to protect the desert tortoise" is a ruse, the desert tortoise is not endangered...it is doing quite well.

Suspiciously, several plots of B*M land is covertly becoming private land, without any money changing hands. The new owners are Reid Bunkerville LLC, Reid Trust, Reid Acquisitions, Zion Bank, and Cedar Development group...so, you figure it out. The grazing fees were jacked up using the ruse "to protect the desert tortoise" in order to drive Bundy out of business. When he refused to pay (the government, that is, as he is willing to pay Nevada), the B*M Desert Tortoise Protection SWAT Team rolled in. And, they tried to bully their way with the American people, and it didn't work.

"The plague of our time is Keynesian economics. It has destroyed the economics profession and enabled the political class to obtain powers never intended.
Keynesian economics provided the intellectual cover for the criminal class we politely call “government” to plunder its citizenry. In the beginning, clear-thinking, independent economists (not dependent on government largess) expressed objections to this “new economics.” There was little new in Keynes’ work and many errors that had been debunked decades before Keynes was even born. Bastiat’s parable of the “broken window” in 1850 is probably the best-known refutation, although similar arguments preceded Bastiat by a century or more.

In the 1930s leaders were desperate and willing to try anything. Keynes General Theory was published in 1936, during the middle of the greatest depression the world had ever experienced. Politicians, more so than economists, welcomed his ideas as a new approach.
The Austrian economists represented by Mises and Hayek saw the fallacies in this new approach immediately. Some of the Chicago School (Knight, Simons, Viner) did also. Ludwig von Mises, never one to mince words, described Keynesian economics in the following manner:
What he really did was to write an apology for the prevailing policies of governments."

The chart shows that deficits could be low while most people provided for their own food, shelter, and clothing. When the society became industrial, about half-way through your chart, people needed salaries and savings. The only source for net savings in the private sector is the federal deficit. Bank loans have to be repaid. A trade surplus, if any, isn't enough. Counterfeiting is illegal
Your definition of "free markets" (Uncle Sam paying everyone's salary for four years) gets close to my idea of good government.

The goal of a nation’s economy is to maximize the wealth of the nation by full employment of its resources. When private industry does not fully employ all of the nation’s resources, it is the duty of a government with fiat currency and a floating exchange rate to employ its idle resources to build infrastructure for our grandchildren while avoiding harmful inflation and a serious trade imbalance.

The wealth of our nation depends only upon its resources and its productive capacity and not upon its accounts. Wh**ever is technically feasible is financially possible. The myth that the powers of Congress are limited by tax revenue vanishes in every crisis, corrupts political dialogue, promotes austere budgets, and destroys our infrastructure.

Our Congress does not need tax revenue for spending. On the contrary, taxpayers need Congress’ spending to pay their taxes. Congressional spending is the only source of currency.

Think about it. How did the first American taxpayer, a Pilgrim, get legal tender for the first American tax payment? At first, the colonial government was new and had no currency. Tax-anticipation warrants were the only answer and became the only legal tender for paying taxes.

The Governor of the Massachusetts colony, out of thin air, issued warrants as payment for goods and services furnished by the colonists. The warrants would also be the only legal tender for payment of taxes. Without the Governor’s warrants, the colonists would not be able to pay their taxes. The Pilgrims also used the warrants as money. The warrants became money.

Every householder or business owner ALWAYS checks his bank account before writing a large check. Before passing a spending bill, Congress NEVER checks to see if the Treasury has the cash. Congress writes a check that never bounces. After cashing the check, the Treasury taxes the public. Any funds spent and not recovered by taxes (the deficit) are saved by the public and becomes the public’s wealth. The Treasury auctions enough bonds to provide interest-bearing assets for that wealth. Outstanding US bonds are equivalent to the wealth of the private sector.

There is no upper limit on the amount of money Congress can spend, neither in the Constitution nor in any law. The financial assets of the federal government are infinite. Our only problems are inflation and unemployment, not federal debt.

If you could legally print dollars in your attic, why would you balance your budget? You would only have to balance your desires against the well-being of your family. The government does not have to balance its budget. It has to balance inflation against unemployment. Unemployment is winning that fight thanks to austerity nuts.

Why is the federal government so obsessed with grabbing more land? After all, the federal government already owns more than 40 percent of the land in 9 different U.S. states. Why are federal bureaucrats so determined to grab even more? Well, the t***h is that this all becomes much clearer once you understand that there is a very twisted philosophy behind what they are doing. It is commonly known as “Agenda 21″, although many names and labels are used for this particular philosophy. Basically, those that hold to this form of radical environmentalism believe that humanity is utterly destroying the planet, and therefore the goal should be to create a world where literally everything that we do is tightly monitored and controlled by control freak bureaucrats in the name of “sustainable development”. In their vision of the future, the human population will be greatly reduced and human activity will be limited to strictly regulated urban areas and travel corridors. The rest of the planet will be left to nature. To achieve this goal, a massive t***sfer of land from private landowners to the federal government will be necessary.

This is what the Bundy Ranch grab is all about, folks.

Earlier this week the Los Angeles Times ran a story about 50 and 60-year-old adults being forced to move back in with their parents in order to survive Obama's economy. Yesterday, NBC published a story about how a record number of Americans are working in temporary jobs that have become permanent or as part-time workers.

This is the Democrats stagnant economy, they own it.
