Recently, the Ds have been identifying the Koch Brothers as the source of a whole lot of money $$$ being given to support the ultra right wing NJs of the so-called R Party. They gave a minimum of $450,000,000 in the 2012 e******n and are pouring it in right now in an attempt to buy this e******n.The Koch's and many of their billionaire friends, perhaps 27, are pulling off one of the biggest s**ms in US political history. They actually have bought off a whole lot of white people and made them believe that they are on their side. They have managed to sell, actually buy, the extreme premise that small or no government,no taxes, no immigration, no education system,no unions, no minimum wage, no state or federal parks, no regulations, etc.,etc.,etc., is the best course for the country. They have managed to take the so called Conservative party so far to the right that conservative moderates may have finally woke up and found that the middle has moved to the right, drastically, and that they are now liberals. The rest of you wake up! They want to destroy Medicare, Social Security and Medicaid among other programs including all government pensions and medical plans. As such it's pointed directly at the Middle Class. That includes the VA and other Veteran benefits.
The Koch's believe or at least say, they are libertarians, but in actuality, they are Birchers. They have managed to spread the Bircher or maybe modified N**i/F*****t beliefs of a splinter organization co-founded in the late fifties by their father called The John Birch Society. He was obviously impressed by Hitler or Hitlers scheme, who he made his money selling oil products to. The John Birch Society still exists and is headquartered in Wisconsin. No apparent ties appear to exist at this time but there is high Koch interest in Wisconsin Politics. This includes ALEC and Koch funding to legislatures and their governor. The v**er suppression in the US can be traced back to them. This includes anti-female laws in states. Koch's ALEC probably wrote them.
These Koch's and Bircher club have r****d the game so bad that 400 of them received 95% or the increase in GDP last year. Their mission is almost complete. An article just last week noted that the US was not a democracy any longer but an Oligarchy. Just a better word for N**i/F*****t. The leaders are Birchers and perhaps the other strong religious money grubbers, the Mormons.
Senator Bernie Sanders has written an article on the Koch's that everybody should read. These people have another goal which is to take everything you have. They want to control it all. That's the real s**m and the TPers have fallen for it hook ,line, and sinker.

Thanks, Jack, for the update on the Koch family and their connection to the JBS. I wasn't aware of the Koch oil connection to N**i Germany. The Bush family also made its fortune serving as financiers to the Third Reich. Prescott Bush (GHW's father) was in cahoots with "Bunny" Harriman to provide Hitler's forces its armaments seed money. Bush and Harriman, in 1942 were ordered by President Roosevelt's administration to stop trading with the enemy. The Bushes, like the Kochs, were f*****ts going way back.

Google: Prescott Bush, Union Banking, N**is

The article was very interesting; however, there is no reference to the John Birch Society or any of the many things you mentioned. From where did you obtain all your other accusations?

I read most of it on Google under Fred Koch,David Koch, and JohnBirch Society,
A Daily Kos article pegs the Bircher-TP interaction. The only weak area as far as I know is the German connection. I read about it but can't cite yet.

AuntiE.... It is a well documented fact that Fred Koch funded the Birchers and moved them further to the right after Stalin had no more use for Koch in C*******t
Russia.... A little research into the real history of the Koch's will show the parallels to how Charles Koch funds the current Tea Party and moves it farther to the right, Like father like son the Agenda is the same.... Charles Koch must be the best chess player on the planet...He is always 10 steps ahead on buying our Government and manipulating the people, Very smart guy but just out for himself... A true king of an empire that rivals Rockefeller.

You read the same bios I did. There is evidence Fred offered their petroleum processes on the Germans before and during their Stalin involvement.

I did not do the other articles on him, yet. This one caught my eye as you had mentioned the John Birch Society. It is an interesting history.

I try to learn as much as possible on the Koch's, old New York Times archive files from the late 40's and early 50's prove very interesting reading, there is a lot more data on Koch and Stalin after ww2 that I found than Fred having involvement in N**i Germany, Back then the NYT was a very good source for news and they would not print anything they couldn't confirm, I have read about Fred Koch and Germany from the late 30's but we were not involved in the war yet so I guess business is business. I h**e to admit it but I have gained a lot of respect for Charles Koch over time, I do not agree with his politics but as far as a ruthless pure businessman he is second to none, he already has much more power in America than most realize and he is going for the k**l in this e******n cycle, he wont make the same mistakes he made in 2012.

Where might one obtain these "well documented facts?" I do not mean left OR right wing rags who publish lies, guesswork and wishful thinking as fact.

You may look into what emarine posted, it is true about the old archives actually posting the news, not to say some were not biased, just less of it. Back when there was still some integrity in news writing and information.

Great post, Jack! I learned a few things. The hotlink you provided to the Bernie Sanders article is worth quoting in its entirety in case people can't or won't bother to click on it:

Who Are the Koch Brothers and What Do They Want?

As a result of the disastrous Citizens United Supreme Court decision, billionaires and large corporations can now spend an unlimited amount of money to influence the political process. The results of that decision are clear. In the coming months and years the Koch brothers and other extraordinarily wealthy families will spend billions of dollars to elect right-wing candidates to the Senate, the House, governors' mansions and the presidency of the United States. These billionaires already own much of our economy. That, apparently, is not enough. Now, they want to own the United States government as well.

Four years ago, the Supreme Court handed down the 5-4 ruling in Citizens United vs the Federal E******n Commission. A few weeks ago, they announced another horrendous campaign finance decision in McCutcheon vs. FEC giving even more political power to the rich. Now, many Republicans want to push this Supreme Court to go even further. In the name of "free speech," they want the Court to eliminate all restrictions on campaign spending -- a position that Justice Thomas supported in McCutcheon -- and a view supported by the Chairman of the Republican National Committee. Importantly, as a means of being able to exercise unprecedented power over the political process, this has been the position of the Koch brothers for at least the last 34 years.

The Koch brothers are the second wealthiest family in America, making most of their money in the f****l f**l industry. According to Forbes Magazine, they saw their wealth increase last year from $68 billion to $80 billion. In other words, under the "anti-business", "socialist" and "oppressive" Obama administration, their wealth went up by $12 billion in one year.

In their 2012 campaigns, Barack Obama and Mitt Romney each spent a little more than $1 billion. For the Koch brothers, spending more than Obama and Romney combined would be a drop in their bucket. They would hardly miss the few billion dollars.

Given the reality that the Koch brothers are now the most important and powerful players in American politics, it is important to know what they want and what their agenda is.

It is not widely known that David Koch was the Libertarian Party vice-p**********l candidate in 1980. He believed that Ronald Reagan was much too liberal. Despite Mr. Koch putting a substantial sum of money into the campaign, his ticket only received 1 percent of the v**e. Most Americans thought the Libertarian Party platform of 1980 was extremist and way out of touch with what the American people wanted and needed.

Fast-forward 34 years and the most significant reality of modern politics is how successful David Koch and like-minded billionaires have been in moving the Republican Party to the extreme right. Amazingly, much of what was considered "extremist" and "kooky" in 1980 has become part of today's mainstream Republican thinking.

Let me give you just a few examples:

In 1980, Libertarian vice-p**********l candidate David Koch ran on a platform that called for abolishing the minimum wage. Thirty-four years ago, that was an extreme view of a fringe party that had the support of 1 percent of the American people. Today, not only does virtually every Republican in Congress oppose raising the $7.25 an hour minimum wage, many of them, including Republican leaders like Mitch McConnell and John McCain, are on record for abolishing the concept of the federal minimum wage.

In 1980, the platform of David Koch's Libertarian Party favored "the abolition of Medicare and Medicaid programs." Thirty-four years ago, that was an extreme view of a fringe party that had the support of one percent of the American people. Today, the mainstream view of the Republican Party, as seen in the recently passed Ryan budget, is to end Medicare as we know it, cut Medicaid by more than $1.5 trillion over the next decade, and repeal the Affordable Care Act. According to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, "Under the Ryan plan, at least 40 million people -- 1 in 8 Americans -- would lose health insurance or fail to obtain insurance by 2024. Most of them would be people with low or moderate incomes."

In 1980, the platform of David Koch's Libertarian Party called for "the repeal of the fraudulent, virtually bankrupt, and increasingly oppressive Social Security system." Thirty-four years ago, that was an extreme view of a fringe party that had the support of 1 percent of the American people. Today, the mainstream view of the Republican Party is that "entitlement reform" is absolutely necessary. For some, this means major cuts in Social Security. For others who believe Social Security is unconstitutional or a Ponzi scheme this means the privatization of Social Security or abolishing this program completely for those who are under 60 years of age.

In 1980, David Koch's Libertarian Party platform stated "We oppose all personal and corporate income taxation, including capital gains taxes ... We support the eventual repeal of all taxation ... As an interim measure, all criminal and civil sanctions against tax evasion should be terminated immediately." Thirty-four years ago, that was an extreme view of a fringe party that had the support of 1 percent of the American people. Today, 75 Republicans in the House have co-sponsored a bill that Paul Ryan has said "would eliminate taxes on wages, corporations, self-employment, capital gains, and gift and death taxes in favor of a personal-consumption tax."

Here is what every American should be deeply concerned about. The Koch brothers, through the expenditure of billions of dollars and the creation and support of dozens of extreme right organizations, have taken fringe extremist ideas and made them mainstream within the Republican Party. And now with Citizens United (which is allowing them to pour unlimited sums of money into the political process) their power is greater than ever.

And let's be very clear. Their goal is not only to defund Obamacare, cut Social Security, oppose an increase in the minimum wage or cut federal funding for education. Their world view and eventual goal is much greater than all of that. They want to repeal every major piece of legislation that has been signed into law over the past 80 years that has protected the middle class, the elderly, the children, the sick and the most vulnerable in this country. Every piece of legislation!

The t***h is that the agenda of the Koch brothers is to move this country from a democratic society with a strong middle class to an oligarchic form of society in which the economic and political life of the nation are controlled by a handful of billionaire families.

Our great nation must not be hijacked by right-wing billionaires like the Koch brothers.

For the sake of our children and our grandchildren, we must fight back.
