Exactly! And why people are demonstrating outside Mitch McConnel's office is beyond me. We need at the very least 7 v**es from Democrats to date to end this shutdown.
These protesters are not going to find any Democrats that will listen to them at McConnel's office
The v**e is today people. Make your representatives hear your voice.

I suppose we should at least give them credit for finding his office …. after all, OAC couldn't find it, and she works there …

Even though he agreed to open the government before any wall funding, he definitely is not caving at all on getting funding for the wall one way or another. He said as much in his speech. He is giving chuck and nancy one last chance--three weeks--to come to the table and talk compromise on a bill that includes the wall, and they will do themselves no favors by refusing and continuing to say no to the wall. I don't think he will shut down the government again. I believe he is ready and willing to go the route of declaring a national emergency, in which case he will get his wall and chuck and nancy will get nothing. They will then have no leverage to deal for DACA or anything else they might want for immigration reform.

It's kinda like chuck and nancy will still be doing their dance in the end zone, thinking they've scored--only to discover that a f**g was thrown back at the line of scrimmage and it's all gonna get called back on a penalty. So enjoy while you can, c and n. This will come back to bite ya.

Believe it or not, the left doesn't care. Logic runs off them like water off a duck's back. The WaPo went to Michigan and discovered Trump's base was cracking? That is the funniest line I've read in many moons. If the WaPo goes anywhere to find out anything, it's going to be negative to Trump. I don't understand the reasoning that it is Trump's fault that there is a shutdown when all of Trump's requests were, at one time, agreed to by the Democrats. It is so obvious that the Dems are simply being stubborn and do not want Trump to get his way on anything. It's pretty tough to go up against a heavily l*****t press and be able to get a salient point across to the people - part of the reason for tweeting. Sort of like trying to make a point with l*****ts on OPP. Bad Bob cuts and pastes some stupid article out of Politicus and when you try to make a logical point on it, he answers with stupid cartoons. Get used to it, Walt, it ain't gonna change with them.
I agree with your Trump/Reagan statement.

Oh sweety, forget about Trump leaving office. Impeachment, in this case, means nothing more than false charges. A President cannot be impeached just because you don't like him. Even if the House, under some Twilight Zone scenario, were to pass impeachment to the Senate, it would drop dead there. Sorry Woody, the only Russian collusion was between Hillary, the DNC, the DOJ and the Russians. Trump was not involved. He was the target of Hillary's Russian collusion.

You are stuck with Trump for another six years. Get used to it.

Indeed.
They are petrified when it comes to the State of the Union which he could possibly do from the Senate but my choice would be for him to do it from the oval office.
Cuz it doesn't really matter if he does it in Congress or not, it'll be on every channel and the Dems will be terrified.

Here’s what Trump should do if Congress does nothing on The Wall before the 29th .... go ahead and give the SOTU speech in the Senate. At some point during the speech, he should again present his argument for The Wall ... with the top officials of law enforcement, Border Patrol, Ice, and Homeland Security standing right behind him .... and line the walls of the entire Chamber with the families (holding photos) of those who have been k**led by i******s, many of whom were protected by snowflake mayors of sanctuary cities ... (the presence of those families should drown out the voices of those claiming Trump is holding federal workers’ paychecks hostage ... no comparison there). THEN he should say, okay, let’s just v**e on it right now. Everyone is here. America is watching us. Let’s have a simple up and down v**e right here in front of God and everybody and let the American people see how important they are to you ... how much their safety matters to you ... whether you will put the needs of the American people above the needs of i*****l i*******ts when it comes to safety, jobs, health care, housing, education and all other resources of the U.S. Government (via the American taxpayers).

If it doesn’t pass, then he should declare a national emergency, issue orders to build the wall, open up the government, and say, “2020 here we come!”

Of course, it will end up in a lengthy court battle, but so what? If the dems refuse to pass it now, they will never concede in the next two years anyway. This way Trump can say to the American people that he did everything he could possibly do to give them The Wall but the dems refused to budge ... And, if he is successful in the courts and the wall building gets underway, the dems will have no leverage on immigration reform. None.

Yes, she is. And the more she speaks out, the more clear it becomes. Unfortunately for her, she is full of herself and speaks out a lot.

Exactly. Which is what many of us chose to do for about eight years when obama gave his SOTU speeches. Change the channel. I would rather watch reruns of Howdy Doody than listen to smug, arrogant, lying obama talk about himself. Glad he's gone.

I just know that has to jack Trump's jaws...

But it's up to Pelosi whether Trump is invited to her house, my guess is she has no use for listening to Trump brag about his nonexistent successes, and lies and crying and whining.

She got played. There is no doubt that President Trump knew san fran nan would refuse to stand by her invitation to hold the SOTU in the House. My guess is he was already looking at other venues and planning on giving the speech elsewhere when he wrote that letter to her--probably just to see what lame excuse she would come up with this time so he could make a mockery of her by pointing out her error in judgment and her lies about security issues. She is obviously still stinging from getting grounded, which was absolutely hilarious, btw. She cannot contain her hatred for this man, and it will be her downfall. Personally, I think she's already showing signs of losing it.

Should be bad for the dems. For the rest of us, it's just entertainment.

Southern Border!!!

Exactly! Would love to see him move it there. Maybe invite all the Republicans to fly there in his private plane and put them up in a luxurious hotel on his dime. And tell san fran nan to go pound sand. Maybe he could tell her she was still grounded. She wouldn't go anyway.

I believe one reason she didn't want to have it in the House is because she couldn't tolerate the idea of sitting with the other leaders behind him, on camera. No doubt she could not bring herself to applaud for any of his accomplishments, which would make her look even more petty and childish …. and angry. But, too late, nan. Too late …..

In all fairness, she didn't try to block it .. she disinvited Trump from giving it in the House … unless and until he agreed to put an end to the partial shutdown. She cannot stop him from moving it to any other venue … which is what he should do.

I think she really stepped in it. I believe Trump has been one or two steps ahead of her and was counting on her responding in this way. Bad move, Nancy. Trying to use something as important as the SOTU as a bargaining chip for something she wants only exposes the fact that her interest in all of this is political gain, while Trump's goal is protecting Americans and keeping promises he made during the campaign. And her lying about the reasons given for "disinviting" him make it even worse for her. My guess is that he has had another venue in mind all along and only did this to show the American people what a phony she is.

Agreed. She is an embarrassment to us all. She stammers and stutters, flapping her arms and waving her hands around … and makes no sense at all when she speaks. It appears there is certainly something wrong with her.
