LOOK AT THE BOTTOM LINE!!

Typically, the first question asked about The Green New Deal is: “Where will the money come from?” That’s the wrong question. We all know where the money will come from. It will come from the only legitimate source of new money, US Treasury checks, also the source of money for aircraft carriers.

Next, they say the GND will raise your taxes sky high and you can’t afford it. But that is a con man’s dishonest argument. The first thing to know about economics is that if something can be done technically, physically, it can be done financially. The GND is a major investment that must be evaluated like all investments: by looking at the bottom line. And your bottom line is not your tax bill. Your bottom line is your net worth as a result of the GND. Let’s take a look!

The annual cost of health care for 300 million Americans at an average cost of $10 thousand each is $3 trillion. If we include the annual cost of expense-paid university education for all qualified students and the annual cost of replacing f****l f**ls with g***n e****y, we have to add another trillion. That $4 trillion dollars will about double the current amount of annual Congressional spending. The right question to be asked is: “Where is all that money going?” The new $4 trillion will follow the path of last year’s $4 trillion. So, let’s have a look and see what actually happened last year.

When Congress spends $4 trillion, 10% or $400 billion enters domestic private bank accounts. Yes, deficit spending equals after-tax savings! That’s why World War II spending gave us 30 years of prosperity. War workers cashed in war bonds for cars, homes, and kids, creating all our beautiful suburbs that did not exist before the war. If Congress spends $8 trillion, much more than $800 billion will enter those accounts because of “tax bracket creep”. More rich suburbs are coming your way!

Our problem will not be money but rather physical resources. Whereas we probably have enough resources for expense-paid education for all but, for Medicare for All, there will be a scarcity of doctors, dentists, etc., until free education provides enough personnel, which could take ten years or more. For that reason, Medicare for All will have to be implemented gradually, beefing up our current Medicare bureaucracy. We would add children up to age 19 plus students. Their robust health will have a minimal impact. Annually, additional age groups can be phased in from both ends of the age spectrum. We should also expect that foreign personnel would be attracted to US wages and hasten the date of maturity of the new healthcare system.

Most of the rest of the GND is g***n e****y. That will be a matter of training our millions of unemployed and under-employed, especially the millions of incarcerated for construction work. When material shortages arise and begin to cause harmful inflation, it may be necessary to cut production levels down from three shifts to two shifts or even to one shift, as easy as falling off a log. The most important principle is maximum use of resources, especially time. The Green New Deal is the moral equivalent of war. If we want to save our planet, we must use every minute of our lives.

Above all, we must stop thinking of money as a scarce resource. Where Congress is concerned, money is only a number to be used to indicate the quantity of effort Congress asks from the private sector. Our only problem is the threat of inflation. And then, it only means jogging instead of a sprinting.

Questions Evolutionists Cannot Answer
By David Jolly - April 6, 2019

You hear it every day that science proves evolution is a fact while nothing proves that the biblical account of creation is a fact. To be honest, most secularists say it’s a battle between science and Bible, but they are so very wrong. In reality, science proves evolution is nothing more than a religious belief.

I’ve spent much of the last 30 years studying the subject. I’ve read all of the works of Charles Darwin, Thomas Huxley, Stephen J. Gould and many other evolutionists, especially in those who wrote early on in the field of population genetics. I’ve also read the works of many biblical creationists and have spoken with many of them.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in wildlife/fisheries biology and a Master of Science degree in biology (population genetics). The title of my master’s thesis was:

‘The Mediterranean Gecko, Hemidactylus turcicus turcicus, In Central Arizona: A Life History And Examination Of The Effects Of Colonization Via The Founder Principle’
Trending: 120 Christians K**led in Nigeria and the World Remains Silent

It was a two-fold thesis that dealt with the way the gecko migrated from Florida to Arizona, which was touted as being an example of the founder principle, an evolutionary tool for population genetics.

What I found was that as the geckos were t***sported across the southern US via freight trucks, establishing populations along the way, the geckos gradually LOST genetic information to the point that the geckos in Arizona may now be a subspecies of the original population. This is the exact opposite of what evolution requires.

All this to establish that I have a good idea of what I am about to present to you, several basic questions upon which all evolutionary theory rests.

1- Evolution believes that everything started with some kind of big bang. They surmise that a tiny particle suddenly expanded as a result of a massive Big Bang explosion. If that is true, from where did that tiny particle come from to begin with? It had to have had a beginning, but I’ve yet to see any concept that explains it’s origins. Without the Big Bang, evolution has no real explanation for the universe and everything in it.

2- The formation of the first cell. All evolutionary biology books teach one of the foundational laws of biology is that life cannot arise from non-life. Yet, their entire theory of evolutionary biology is based upon the premise that life DID arise from non-life, thus violating their own basic law. Some try to say that life came from outer space, but that still doesn’t solve the problem because there still had to be an origin somewhere, an origin from a non-living source.

Some say that the first cell formed in some prebiotic soups of chemicals, and have spent years trying to duplicate the process. But know that in all of the experiments, there is some kind of distillation chamber or collection chamber to separate any organic molecules and proteins they produce. If they don’t do that, the very same process that creates the molecules and proteins also destroys them and there were no distillation chambers in their so-called prehistoric world.

3- The basic law of information theory is that intelligence cannot arise from non-intelligence. Please bear with me. All of life, from one-celled organisms to complex creatures such as man, is based on a source of information or language. You are all familiar with DNA and RNA, which in reality are two separate languages, in which one language – RNA – reads, interprets and acts upon the primary language – DNA. According to the basic law of information, the complex languages of DNA and RNA had to come from some source of intelligence. What is that source?

To make this part even more complex and impossible is to know that there is another entirely different language in multi-cellular organisms. Molecules called oligosaccharides exist on the outside of every cell and in between cells. They determine what enters the cell and they also handle cell-to-cell communication. There are many different oligosaccharides, each with a different function. This means that life originated with 3 languages – information, all of which could not arise from non-intelligence, according to the evolutionists basic law of information.

If evolutionists are honest, they will be forced to admit that they cannot sufficiently answer any of these questions, all of which proves that evolution is not fact and it’s not science. Evolutionists and creationists all have the same science, but a different foundational belief (presuppositions) with which they interpret the science.

For example, science says that a dinosaur bone has been fossilized and that the dinosaur is now extinct. An evolutionist looks at the dinosaur bones and assumes it is millions of years old based upon their belief in millions of years. A creationist looks at the same dinosaur bone and theorizes that it most likely was buried quickly during the Genesis Flood and the rapid burial helped preserve and fossilize the bone. Same science, two different interpretations based upon one’s belief.

However, back to science. Based upon their own laws, there is no explanation for the origin of the Big Bang, impossible for life to arise from non-life and impossible for the languages of DNA, RNA and oligosaccharides to have formed from a non-intelligent source. Conclusion – evolution impossible according to their own laws.

Skeptics who believe a border wall will not stop i******s from entering the United States may want to look at what’s happening in Hungary.

On the day its border fence was completed, the influx of i******s entering Hungary went down from 6,353 per day to 870 the next. For the remainder of that month, illegal border crossings were steadily below 40 per day, officials said.

“They don’t even try,” a local border guard said. “We haven’t had a single Muslim migrant in six months.”

Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s pledge to stop i******s from flowing into the country appears to be a spectacular success.

Hungary’s 96-mile long, 14-foot tall double-line fence includes several layers of razor-wire capable of delivering electric shocks.

The barrier features cameras, heat sensors and loudspeakers ready to tell migrants they’re about to break Hungarian law if they as much as touch the fence.

Nearly every police officer in Hungary is part of a rotation to monitor the border fence at all times. Temporary military bases house the police while they do their rotation.

Additionally, Hungary will train and pay more than 1,000 volunteers to deploy as “border h****rs.”

I******s who are caught are arrested and dropped off on the Serbian side of the fence.

They don’t get a chance to apply for asylum unless they do so at a “t***sit zone” where they are held in housing containers while their cases get processed, the report said.

In September 2016, thousands of migrants streamed across the border every day as they made their way north to Austria, Germany and Scandinavia.

“It was an invasion,” Laszlo Toroczkai, the mayor of Asotthalom, told media reporters. “I*****l i*********n is a crime in a normal country. It’s not a normal thing to break into a country.”

“By mid-year it was well beyond 100,000 people who came across,” said Zoltan Kovacs, a spokesman for the Hungarian government. “You should at least have the ability to handle what’s going on.”

Kovacs added: “You might not like it, it’s not a nice thing, but the only way to stop illegal border crossings is to first build a fence, man it, equip it, and also, in parallel, build up your capabilities in terms of legal confines, legal circumstances to be able to handle what is coming.”

And of course the Democrats are not going to make any major moves on health care until the 2020 e******n either.

Unfortunately, we are stuck with what we have got for the moment.

Our health care crisis is a national nightmare that never seems to end, and it gets worse with each passing year.

So for now, just hope that nobody in your family becomes seriously ill, because if that happens there is a good chance you might go bankrupt.

Here are some more numbers that show the current state of the U.S. health care system…

–3.7 trillion dollars was spent on health care in the United States in 2018. That breaks down to $10,739 per person.

-If our health care system was a country, it would have the fifth largest GDP on the entire planet.

–76 percent of Americans believe that they pay too much for the quality of health care that they receive.

-Out of the 36 counties in the OECD, the U.S. ranks 31st in infant mortality.

-Prescription drugs are the fourth leading cause of death in the United States today.

-Pharmaceutical companies spend approximately 30 billion dollars a year to market their drugs to all of us.

–Nearly half of all U.S. doctors are considering leaving the field of medicine, and health insurance companies are the primary reason.

-The median charge for visiting an emergency room in the United States is well over a thousand dollars.

FIRST THINGS FOR THE GREEN ECONOMY

Our Constitution’s Preamble states the purpose of our federal government: justice, tranquility, defense, general welfare, and the “Blessings of Liberty” that we must provide for Posterity. Each of these goals implies the creation of institutions of considerable magnitude. Justice and tranquility require first responders, hospitals, courts, and prisons. Defense implies forces with unlimited needs that must be provided by the nation’s industry, which implies a system of education and healthcare. General welfare and “Blessings” imply an open-ended list of things. We can put all of the above under the heading of “infrastructure”. Given that we are surrounded by hostile forces seeking to dominate us, our need for infrastructure is unlimited.

To provide for those infinite needs, Congress must plan for the world’s best infrastructure. Then it must create that infrastructure by spending wh**ever is needed, buying required resources at the fastest rate possible without harming with the well-being of the private sector. In practice, this means spending as much as possible without causing inflation. Ideally, our economy should be operating steadily at the onset of harmful inflation. In practice, the economy’s money supply and output fluctuate so that the best spending practice would be to aim at that ideal.

Thus, the need to combat inflation is a primary concern. With maximum spending there must be maximum taxation to remove excess discretionary income and wealth from the economy. With a liberal economy and relatively free trade, the distribution of income and wealth in the population will be top heavy. For efficient taxation of discretionary income, such a distribution requires steeply progressive federal income and estate tax brackets with no taxation of non-discretionary income and wealth. Because of the “tax-bracket creep” that occurs with rising incomes during economic expansions, steeply progressive tax brackets also have the virtue of increasing (decreasing) the ratio of tax revenue to total spending during economic expansions (contractions), thus smoothing the fluctuation of the economy’s money supply and output.

Spending on infrastructure must be matched by spending on people. Until our munitions industry and armed forces are completely robotic, wars will be waged by people in the line of fire and those behind it. And they will be waged more successfully when the people are well-educated and healthy. Accordingly, there is no rational reason to require individuals to pay for their education or for maintaining their health. There is every rational reason to provide expense-paid education for all at all levels of learning. Likewise, there should be free healthcare for all, including free nurseries, day-care, and pre-K for parents with such a need.

To fulfill the aims stated in the Preamble to our Constitution, the physical structures and personnel required for these services have a cost that Congress must bear. In effect, Congress should pay the people to provide the nation’s infrastructure and to provide both the best-educated and healthiest workforce and the world’s best military force. No other course can achieve the goals set for us by our Founders.

Senate V**es 57-0: AOC’s GND Is DOA

There were some very interesting numbers that came out of the Senate v**e on Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal.

The major one is that not a single Senator supported it.

Zero.

Zip.

Trending: This Swimsuit Model Is The LEADER Of The ‘Jexodus’ Movement Away From The Left

Zilch.

Nada.

Not her proud original co-sponsor, Sen. Ed Marky(D-MA).

Not even the P**********l hopefuls that hopped on the bandwagon to co-sponsor it and have been singing the praises of the innovative and ‘visionary’ resolution.

Sen. Cory ‘Spartacus’ Booker(D-NJ), known for his speeches that go just a wee bit too far, parroted back AOC’s claim that fighting c*****e c****e is ‘our World War II’ and he went further — it’s like putting a man on the moon!

Yet, he did not v**e for it.

Sen. Kamala Harris(D-CA), who has backed the GND resolution in her campaign while cackling about pot that apparently allowed her to travel through time…

…but she didn’t v**e for it, either.

In a long, rambling speech, Sen. Elizabeth ‘Pocahontas’ Warren(D-MA) also compared the Green New Deal’s vision to the moon landing.

She still didn’t v**e for it.

Sen. Bernie Sanders(D-VT) was a ‘proud original co-sponsor’ of the Green New Deal.

But not proud enough to v**e for it, apparently.

Freshman Rep. Alexandria Occasional-Cortex(D-NY) was furious that a resolution that she proposed, and was co-sponsored by multiple Senators that are now running for a chance to become the President of the United States, was being put to a v**e in the Senate.

Ocasio-Cortez defended herself after the defeat and argued she encouraged the Democratic senators to v**e ‘present’ instead of in the affirmative.

‘I encouraged them to v**e present, along w/ others. McConnell tried to rush the #GreenNewDeal straight to the floor without a hearing. The real question we should be asking: Why does the Senate GOP refuse to hold any major hearings on c*****e c****e?,’ the self-described socialist explained in a tweet responding to the lack of Democratic v**es.

‘The GOP’s climate delaying is costing us lives + destroying communities. Iowa, Nebraska & many in the Midwest are catastrophically flooded right now, in one of the 1st major c*****e c****e disasters of 2019. A #GreenNewDeal urges us to pursue a plan on the scale of the problem,’ she added.

The absolute brilliance of Senate Majority Leader ‘Cocaine’ Mitch McConnell(R-KY) was to get these Senators to actually put on record their support for a far-left activist document ahead of the 2020 P**********l e******n.

Democrats who lost some seats in the Senate and are hoping to win back the White House which would end the ‘reign of terror’ that is Trumpian Conservatism, decided to blame the GOP for making them take a stand one way or the other on the Green New Deal.

What’s the issue with ‘rushing’ the v**e on the Green New Deal? According to the New Yorker, AOC’s staff came up with the resolution in the span of a single weekend.

Democratic Sen. Ed Markey of Massachusetts, the principle sponsor of the legislation in the Senate, called McConnell’s move a ‘sham.’

He said Tuesday before the v**e that the GOP leader ‘wants to sabotage calls for climate action.’

And Ocasio-Cortez slammed the majority leader for holding a ‘bluff v**e.’

‘The GOP’s whole game of wasting v**es in Congress to target others ‘on the record’, for leg they have no intent to pass, is a disgrace. Stop wasting the American peoples’ time + learn to govern. Our jobs aren’t for campaigning, & that’s exactly what these bluff-v**es are for,’ she wrote on Twitter on Friday.

Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer called the v**e a ‘political stunt.’

In effect, Congress should pay the people to provide the nation’s infrastructure and to provide both the best-educated and healthiest workforce and the world’s best military establishment. No other course can achieve the goals set for us by our Founders.

LOOK AT THE BOTTOM LINE!!

The Green New Deal will raise your taxes sky high and you can’t afford it, so… Well, you know the rest: the GND is great in theory but it will cost too much. That, in a phrase, is the argument against the GND.

But that is the dishonest argument of a con man. The first thing to know about economics is that if something can be done technically, it can be done financially. The GND is a major investment that must be evaluated like all investments: by looking at the bottom line. And your bottom line is not your tax bill. Your bottom line is your net worth as a result of the GND: how will it affect your bank account? The rest of this essay will examine how the GND is financed and how that affects your bottom line.

Typically, the first question asked is: “Where will the money come from?” That’s the wrong question. We all know where the money for Medicare For All will come from. It will come from the only legitimate source of money: the US Treasury, in the form of Treasury checks to people. That’s also where money for aircraft carriers comes from. There is no other legitimate source of Congressional money.

The right question to ask is: “Where is all that money going?” The annual cost of health care for 300 million Americans at an average cost of $10 thousand each is $3 trillion. If we include the annual cost of expense-paid university education for all qualified students and the annual cost of replacing f****l f**ls with g***n e****y, we have to add another trillion. $4 trillion dollars will about double the current amount of annual Congressional spending. Where will all that new $4 trillion go? That is one thing that we do know! It will follow the path of last year’s $4 trillion. Let’s have a look and see what happened.

When Congress spends $4 trillion, 10% or $400 billion lands in domestic private bank accounts. If Congress spends $8 trillion, much more than $800 billion will land in those accounts because of “tax bracket creep”. Yes, deficit spending is also after-tax savings! That is the reason World War II spending gave us 30 years of prosperity when war workers cashed in their war bonds for cars, homes, and kids.

Our problem will not be money but rather physical resources. Whereas we probably have enough of everything for free education, there will be a scarcity of doctors, dentists, etc., until free education provides enough personnel. For that reason, Medicare for All will have to be implemented gradually, starting with children up to age 19 plus students. Annually, additional age groups can be phased in from both ends of the age spectrum. We should also expect that foreign personnel would be attracted to US wages. That would hasten the maturation of the new healthcare system.

Most of the rest of the GND is g***n e****y. That will also cost money, of which 10% will land in our bank accounts. That will be a matter of training our millions of unemployed and under-employed for construction work. When material shortages arise and begin to cause harmful inflation, it may be necessary to drop production levels down to two shifts or even to one shift. The most important principle is maximum use of resources, especially time. The Green New Deal is the moral equivalent of war. If we want to save our planet, we must use every minute of our lives.

Above all, we must stop thinking of money as a scarce resource. Where Congress is concerned, money is only a number to be used to indicate a quantity of effort demanded from the private sector. Our only problem is the threat of inflation. And then, it’s only a warning to slow down to a jog instead of a sprint.

EXTREME POVERTY !! GOOD BYE AND GOOD RIDDANCE !!

Computers, robots, and artificial intelligence are displacing humans at a growing pace. People will always design business systems but there will be few jobs making or delivering. Caregivers of the young, old, and sick will be assisted by computers and robots. Construction will be automated and installed by robots directed by humans. Eventually, industry will need much less than half of our working-age population. When the majority is jobless, on what will it live?

Two answers are Universal Basic Income and Job Guarantee. The UBI is a debit card refilled monthly to supply necessities. The JG is a locally-managed employment agency that hires the jobless, even the partially disabled, and, after any necessary training, assigns them to local tasks requested by any government or qualified NPO. For both proposals, the usual fringe benefits comparable to industry would be provided. (Free healthcare for all would simplify the hiring process for industry as well.) Both programs would be financed by Congress, eliminating SNAP, unemployment benefits, and all similar spending.

The UBI would serve the fully disabled; the JG would pay workers some minimum wage. Thus, industry will lose its current reserve army of unemployed and gain a reserve army of employed possessing the dignity of work. Employers will attract JG workers with pay a step higher than the minimum wage and will raise current wages enough to maintain their staff but that’s normal for a booming economy. Price levels will rise with the minimum wage so the UBI and the JG wage may turn out to be skimpy. Most minimum wage workers look for better jobs.

The unemployed are already here and more are coming. Work awaits them, and federal money is always available. Yes, unions will complain when governments have JG workers filling potholes and NPOs are doing healthcare. Other problems not obvious now will arise but they will NOT include potholes or unemployment or extreme poverty. We will make adjustments, survive, and maybe thrive.

The majority will be jobless but will be educated and able to v**e. As will their parents, relatives, and friends. UBI and JG are coming! Get used to the idea.

FIRST PRINCIPLES FOR THE GREEN ECONOMY

Our Constitution’s Preamble states the purpose of our federal government: justice, tranquility, defense, general welfare, and the “Blessings of Liberty” that we must provide for Posterity. Each of these goals implies the creation of institutions of considerable magnitude. Justice and tranquility require first responders, hospitals, courts, and prisons. Defense implies forces with unlimited needs that must be provided by the nation’s industry, which implies a system of education and healthcare. General welfare and “Blessings” imply an open-ended list of things. We can put all of the above under the heading of “infrastructure”. Given that we are surrounded by hostile forces seeking to dominate us, the need for infrastructure is unlimited.

To provide for those infinite needs, Congress must plan for the world’s best infrastructure. Then it must supply that infrastructure by spending without limit, buying required resources at the fastest rate possible without interfering with the well-being of the private sector. In practice, this means spending as much as possible without causing inflation. Hence, ideally, our economy should be operating steadily just at the onset of harmful inflation. In practice, the economy’s money supply and output fluctuate so that the best practice would be to aim at that ideal.

Thus, the need to combat inflation is a primary concern. With maximum spending there must be maximum taxation to remove much discretionary income and wealth from the economy. With a liberal economy and relatively free trade, the distribution of income and wealth in the population will be top heavy. For efficient reduction of the money supply, such a distribution requires steeply progressive federal income and estate tax brackets with no taxation of non-discretionary income and wealth.

MEDICARE FOR ALL WILL RAISE YOUR TAXES !!

How can we implement Social Democracy without raising taxes? If you are a taxpaying individual or household, you pay a federal tax on your income according to the tax rates established by Congress. Wh**ever their stated objections, opponents are really claiming that Medicare for All (and the Green New Deal, etc.) would cause shortages and inflation, forcing Congress to boost the tax rates to control inflation.

Let’s examine that claim in detail.

If the program were implemented today, the current Medicare prices would be in effect. Immediately, there would be a shortage of dentists. They would try to raise their prices but Medicare would not change its current policy. So, new patients would have to wait for service. A system of triage would have to be established that would stay in effect until the number of dentists increased enough to serve the market. The same recourse would apply to the dental suppliers. The entire dental industry would be affected.

Even with Free (expense-paid) Education for All, to the level of PhD, the program’s newly-educated dentists would not see a strong flow into the market before 10 years. Therefore, Medicare for All would have to be introduced gradually, starting with students up to age 30 and children up to age 19. With their good health, there would be minimal impact on the medical market, except for dentists and oculists. For that market, we would expect that enough foreign specialists and services would be attracted to US income levels.

Extending Medicare for All to all ages would also be done incrementally, annually adding one or two years of eligibility at each end of the age spectrum, again expecting to import medical personnel and services to fill the gaps in service. Free (expense-paid) Education for All is the long-term solution to the personnel shortage. For that, almost all the resources are already in place, students and professors are begging for it, and the public is demanding it.

And there would be no inflation introduced by either program! And no boost in the tax rates. So, why does Medicare for All and Education for All increase your tax bill? There can be only one reason. Your tax bill will rise because the program increases your annual income! And what fool turns down an increase in income because the tax bill went up?

Your income tax will depend only on the current tax rates and your income, which almost certainly depends upon the state of the economy. And that state always improves whenever Congress increases its annual spending on anything (until the onset of harmful inflation!)

So, that also applies to the Green New Deal! If done with full use of available resources and controls to avoid scarcity, there need be no higher tax rates. On the other hand, federal income tax rates must be steeply progressive to assure negative feedback so that, as the economy expands, there would be “bracket creep”: as higher salaries would raise individual’s tax rates, the ratio of tax revenue to Congressional spending would increase and prevent inflation.

LET’S PREPARE OUR DEFENSE WITH A MAXIMUM EFFORT !!

A nation can be in only one of three possible states of affairs.

First, a nation can be at war, in an existential struggle, depending entirely upon its defense.

To survive such an embattled state of affairs, a nation must continually prepare its defense.

Next, a nation can be preparing its defense with a maximum effort by using its idle resources to increase and to improve its infrastructure and its most important resource, its people, whose health and education are essential and can be improved most surely by providing free health care for all and free, expense-paid education up to PhD. Such pr********n of defense needs maximum Congressional spending, which needs a maximum effort to prevent inflation, which needs adequate taxation of disposable income but no taxation of non-disposable income, which needs adequate and steeply progressive federal income and estate tax rates.

Such a provident nation would be well-prepared to survive an embattled state of affairs.

Finally, a nation can be preparing its defense but WITHOUT a maximum effort to increase and improve its infrastructure, NOT providing free health care for all and free, expense-paid education for all, being more concerned with budget deficits and tax relief for the rich and their heirs while mired in idleness, poverty, trafficking, addiction, crime, and mass incarceration.

Such an improvident nation (ours!) is ill-prepared to survive an embattled state of affairs.

Citizens opposed to free healthcare and expense-paid education for all, including free trade schools, will v**e for inflation due to sk**led labor shortages, for military recruiting shortages due to poor health and education, and for bankruptcies due to medical costs. V**es against maximum Congressional spending will guarantee destructive poverty, decaying infrastructure, and a sub-optimal defense that threatens our survival in an embattled state of affairs.

A provident nation will not only be the most prepared nation but also the most prosperous nation because that nation’s spending would generate the largest annual federal budget deficit, which is exactly equal to the sum of its annual trade deficit plus its annual domestic net private savings. That sum represents the nation’s consumption of foreign goods plus its private after-tax savings, a necessary source of investment for growth. Therefore, that sum is directly proportional to the nation’s prosperity, that which trumps all taxes, sustains its social health, and encourages its youth, perhaps the most important element of its defense.

So, preparing our defense with maximum effort is also our best economic policy, as proven by the decades of post-war prosperity created by our huge World War II deficit spending on salaries that were saved as “War Bonds”, eventually cashed in for homes, cars, and kids, creating the prosperous suburbs that now flourish all over America. Ask your grandmother!

The God that Failed...Over and Over Again
By Lee Edwards

Why do so many of our university professors argue that socialism is a better way to peace and prosperity than capitalism? Because it is, to them, an article of faith. To admit that socialism has failed -- repeatedly, consistently and abysmally -- for over a century would be, for them, to deny their god.

Theirs are the eyes of faith that cannot see.

Venezuela, once one of the wealthiest countries in Latin American, is now on the brink of economic collapse and political anarchy after two decades of Chavez/Maduro socialism. Cuba has languished under the C*******t Party of Fidel and Raul Castro, who promised free and open e******ns when they came to power. Sixty years later, Cubans are still waiting. The Soviets tried for 74 years to build a socialist workers’ paradise, k*****g millions in the process. Their empire wound up on the ash heap of history, so broke that President Mikhail Gorbachev had to borrow a pen to sign the document dissolving the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

Some nations experimented with socialism, then came to their senses and reversed course.
India followed the socialist line for the first 40 years of its independence. It was mired in inefficient state-owned enterprises and excessive government regulation. But the country then adopted market-oriented reforms, particularly in technology, that have produced the largest middle class in the free world.
Following World War II, Great Britain was nationalized from top to bottom by the British Labour Party. The resultant economic decline was so serious that Britain was routinely called “the sick man of Europe.” However, with the e******n of Margaret Thatcher as prime minister, Great Britain denationalized its basic industries and unleashed free enterprise which put Britain back into the first rank of economic powers. According to the Heritage Foundation’s Index of Economic Freedom, the United Kingdom has “one of the world’s most efficient business and investment environments” -- a finding that would stun Karl Marx, who wrote The C*******t Manifesto while living in England.

Why have so many Western intellectuals -- from George Bernard Shaw to Jean-Paul Sartre to Susan Sontag -- waxed so enthusiastic about C*******m, even at its most repressive? Their sympathetic observations often border on the pathological. An English Quaker wrote that “the C*******t view of human nature seems to me far more inspired by Faith, Hope, and Charity than our own.” Dismissing the existence of the Gulag, a criminologist asserted that in the Soviet Union, “the whole idea of punishment has been frankly dropped and the aim of reformation alone pursued.”

About the infamous trumped-up Moscow trials of the 1930s, which sent an estimated 1 million C*******t Party officials to their deaths, the New York Times’ Walter Duranty wrote, “It is unthinkable that Stalin… and the Court Martial could have sentenced their friends to death unless the proofs of guilt were overwhelming.” Duranty was an early practitioner of f**e news, writing there was no forced famine in Ukraine, although he had personally witnessed skeleton-like children and hollow-eyed women while traveling through the region.

Of China, where at least 50 million Chinese died in socialist experiments like the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution, John K. Fairbank, America’s leading sinologist, wrote, “The Maoist revolution is on the whole the best thing that has happened to the Chinese people in centuries.” The reason for such blatant pandering? The professor did not want to risk being denied entry to the Middle Kingdom.

Author Paul Hollander has explained that such intellectuals avoid the t***h because they are caught in “an intricate web of utopianism, secularization, and alienation, all of which breeds an abiding contempt for the West.” They find the God they need in Marxism just as the Marxist professors do in our universities.
Yet some intellectuals who initially succumbed to the siren song of socialism managed to free themselves. Among the great writers of the early 20th century who joined and then rejected the c*******t cause were: the b***k A******n novelist Richard Wright, the Italian realist writer Ign**io Silone, the French Nobel Prize winner Andre Gide, the Hungarian novelist Arthur Koestler, the British poet Stephen Spender, and the American foreign correspondent Louis Fischer. They chose C*******m because they had lost faith in democracy. It was a decision, wrote the British author and editor, Richard Crossman, rooted in “despair, a despair of Western values.”

Desiring an end to poverty and war, they turned to C*******m only to discover that its promises were all lies. The words “brotherhood” and “freedom” were only slogans. T***h was wh**ever the C*******t Party said it was. The very things for which these intellectuals had joined the Party were most endangered by the Party.

At first they practiced unswerving obedience to the socialist line, but their commitment was shattered by the 1939 Hitler-Stalin pact. Socialists condemned Adolf Hitler throughout the 1930s until the summer of 1939 when Joseph Stalin and Hitler signed a non-aggression pact. Immediately, all true socialists reversed course and hailed the agreement as a major step toward peace. It was, in fact, a grossly cynical deal that allowed the N**is and the Soviets to invade and divide up Poland, precipitating World War II.
Scales fell from the eyes of the writers starting with the novelist Arthur Koestler, who wrote, “At no time and in no country have more revolutionaries been k**led and reduced to s***ery than in Soviet Russia.” After visiting the Soviet Union, Andre Gide said, “I doubt whether in any country in the world… have the mind and the spirit ever been less free, more bent, more terrorized over and indeed vassalized than in the Soviet Union.”

Writing in the mid-1930s, Louis Fischer said, “Nineteen years after the fiery birth of the Bolshevik regime, ubiquitous fear, amply justified by terror, had k**led revolt, silenced protest, and destroyed civil courage.” He might have been writing about Venezuela or Cuba or China. It’s always the same with socialism and its ready tanks and troops.

Fischer reflects the anger and revulsion of his once-c*******t colleagues writing, “I see that I turned to Soviet Russia because I thought it had the solution to the problem of power… I now realize that Bolshevism is not the way out because it is itself the world’s biggest agglomeration of power over man.” The Nobel Laureate F. A. Hayek put it succinctly, “Planning leads to dictatorship.”

And the planners are always planning, trusting we will not notice what they are doing. It is therefore our solemn duty to call out socialism for what it is -- a pseudo-religion posing as a pseudo-science enforced by political tyranny -- a god that has failed each and every time it has been tried.

Did Obama’s DOJ Collude to Protect Hillary?
In newly released transcripts, FBI witnesses assert that Obama’s Department of Justice deliberately refused to prosecute any crime against Hillary Clinton. The Washington Examiner reports:

Former FBI lawyer Lisa Page testified last year that officials in the bureau, including then-FBI Director James Comey, discussed Espionage Act charges against Hillary Clinton, citing “gross negligence,” but the Justice Department shut them down.

Newly released transcripts from Page’s private testimony in front of a joint task force of the House Judiciary and Oversight committees in July 2018 sheds new light on the internal discussions about an investigation into Clinton’s emails. This goes back to the FBI’s “Midyear Exam” investigation, which looked into whether Clinton committed crimes when she sent and received classified information on her unauthorized private email server while serving as secretary of state.

Comey cleared Clinton of all charges in a press conference on July 5, 2016.

Page told the committee that the FBI “did not blow over gross negligence.” Responding to a question from Rep. John Ratcliffe, R-Texas, Page testified the FBI, including Comey, believed Clinton may have committed gross negligence. “We, in fact — and, in fact, the Director — because, on its face, it did seem like, well, maybe there’s a potential here for this to be the charge. And we had multiple conversations, multiple conversations with the Justice Department about charging gross negligence,” she said.

Beyond instigating the Russian collusion falsehood, Obama’s DOJ is now implicated in deliberate corruption to protect one of their own. Will justice be served?
