The whole reason that the second amendment was written into the constitution was to give every American citizen the right to keep arms for the sole purpose of defending this country in case the government and it's military was no longer able to protect the citizens for wh**ever reason. The citizens would be armed, ready, and capable of defending these lands against any enemy foreign or domestic. We are the m*****a, all of us.

Yes, and there is the GAO, Government Accounting Office and the CBO, Congressional Budget Office. Assuming the Congress is part of the Government, why separate accountants? The list of redundancies really skyrockets when you talk about law enforcement. DHS, FBI, DEA, ICE, BATFE etc. all doing the same job and often at cross purposes. Certainly not communicating effectively with each other. All those could be rolled into DHS saving approximately 350 billion a year. That is just the tip. Talk about intelligence services and the same applies. They're tripping over each other out there.

Well that is the question is it not? Why is the government left to govern itself? Should we the civilian population not be who holds our government accountable? For the people by the people. I do not know about anyone else but my interpretation of that is the government works for us and they are accountable to us, but they are not. They are only accountable to themselves. That is called a monopoly of power and is associated with c*******m, socialism, f*****m, and totalitarian authority. Very Orwellian to say the least and has no connection to a democratic or capitalist society.

I am not just running my mouth, I am going to work on this. If I find a way, who is behind me? Are you (meaning anybody) ready to step up and do what ever it takes to make it happen? I just wonder how many people out there are just talk and no action. Intimidation is the governments first tool, then comes incarceration, financial ruin by the IRS seizing all of your assets, kicking you and your family out on the street with no money. Of course they know who you are so if you capitulate, they will put you on welfare so that they can control you and shut you up. Yeah, I do not see a whole lot takers on that. So we remain right where we are.

There is plenty of money to be found, if they want to look for it and plenty of blame too. They cut 80 billion from SNAP but spent 600 million on a goofball website. The cost of keeping the capitol in operation out weighs the budget of most departments/agencies. I never hear them talking of reducing that d**g on our budget. The congressional staff is bloated, the white house staff is bloated, the expense accounts of both are bloated and so are the heads and ego's of those involved.

Looking through that table I was immediately struck by the overlapping programs cost within the general accounting office, $95 billion! I looked this up and from what I could glean there are fifteen offices with several hundred employees that are doing the exact same job. I have one office with five employees who do mine and several hundred other businesses accounting. Someone said to me the other day, "but this is the government, they handle trillions of dollars and it takes a lot of people to do that."

I repeated this comment to my accountant who shook his head and said quote; "that is complete bulls**t, I do not care if you are working with 100 thousand dollars, or 100 trillion dollars, it is the same god damn process."

He went on to explain that the redundancy was nothing more than a way to spend every dollar of a budget so that they get the same or more money the next time around. The job could easily be handled by one office with a second as a verification process, and a small team of auditors to finalize the numbers.

I can put some credence into what he says because it turns out he spent six years as a senior budget analyst under the Carter and Reagan administrations. He was also the State Auditor for Wisconsin under Scott McCallum. I know this because I did a background check on him before I hired him. It is a good chance that he knows what he is talking about.

After a little further research I was able to find that the budget for that particular accounting agency is around $350 Million per fiscal year, but they accumulated $95 Billion in costs due to overlapping programs. I am not an accountant but that just seems a little obvious to me that something is off.

If you look through that table, $6 Billion seems like it would be very easy to find.

One of the comments in this article mirrors what I have said several times in my posts. We need a single agency that is civilian ran, that audits the US governments spending, congress does not get the job done because they are the ones wasting the money on their own pet projects and lining their and their cronies pockets. Really?! This is called the honor system and obviously they are not following the rules. We need a way to hold them accountable other than them doing it themselves.

Obama just cut veterans benefits (instead of closing IRS loop holes for i*****l i*******ts) because they need money. This report breaks down $788 billion + in wasted government spending. Obama cannot find $6 billion in needed money so he cuts our benefits?

I have a motor cycle but with 3 inches of snow on the ground I am not likely to be out riding it. Took a horse back ride about 6 this morning, that was nice, snow falling, quiet, very relaxing.

Sorry, but that is not the way it works. Only Congress can impeach him and then they much put him on trial and convict him before he is removed. Then he can go to jail for what he has done. NO ONE can simply say he is under order of impeachment and tell him to leave office. I think you need to read our constitution a little more. One more thing, simply impeaching him does NOT remove him from office. Clinton proved that. By the way, the Federalist Papers should help you understand our constitution better, so you can read them too.

Your also forgetting one more thing. The Secretary of State is appointed by the President, how could they ever remove him? Since the Vice President is his running mate, why would he remove him either? No matter how you feel, Congress is the ONLY part of government that can bring articles of Impeachment and then they have to put him on trial or he simply laughs at them.

Just to be clear, the house files the impeachment process, the senate v**es it into a legal process and passes it on to a trial. Do you really think that would ever happen?

Your comment is very good! There is a law on the books now that has no value. The ACA. If a law can be changed so many times without congressional approval just so that it meets Obama's current agenda, this law has no value what so ever. This law is doing a tremendous amount of damage to a tremendous amount of people. It was designed that way so that it would fail opening up the door for single payer. A much worse health care option. One only needs to look at the model health care system to see what will become of ours. France is currently under taking cuts to their model system. They have spent far too much for far too long. They will have to make numerous dramatic cuts very soon or their system will cease to function with in 5 years. These are facts as stated by the French government.

You make a very good point. The ACA has proven itself to be rife with false advertisement, fraudulent claims, deceptive marketing, and nothing short of a pyramid scheme. What would happen if a private corporation did exactly what the Obama administration did concerning the ACA? The short answer, a bunch of people would be going to jail for a long time.

Oldschool, do you really believe that all we have done has had no effect on the environment? Do you really believe that, or is it just easier to not accept it?

My wife sat me down today when I got home and "she had that look in her eye". With finishing school and working, I have not put in less than 16 hrs a day for about two weeks straight now, no days off. I come home and am asleep in my chair within 15 minutes. I have not got to go hunting, I had to hire someone to take care of my animals, I have lost 10 pounds, (not necessarily a bad thing) but she is worried about me (so are my employees) and put me in my place a little while ago.

I am not allowed to work for two days. Do you have any idea how hard that is going to be for me, I am building a business? She means NO WORK...PERIOD!

I never should have hired her sister to be my office manager, she tells Terri everything. They have conspired against me just because I fall asleep in my truck in the parking lot, my office, the break room, basically anytime I stop moving for more than five minutes. LOL

I should have thought through my hiring a little better, 3/4 of my employees are female and they all know my wife pretty well. My sister in law has kicked me out of my own office, my wife hid my tablet and phone (that have everything on them) And told me I have to rest for two days, what am I five?

Ok that was my side of the coin.

My wife's side of the coin is that I am exhausted, my BP is way too high, 145 over 95.
Losing 10 pounds in two weeks is not healthy, if I am not actively involved in something, I fall asleep, no if's and's or but's about it. I fell asleep at a stop light the other day.

I guess what gets my goat is that Tanya re-arranged my schedule to clear two days with out talking to me, her and my wife totally blindsided me with this. That kind of pisses me off to be honest. Good intentions or not.

But, the more I think about it I have been pushing myself way too hard, I can feel it too. I hired Tanya not because she is my wife's sister, (well that might have been part of it) but she is very good at what she does. Ego aside, she runs this business more than I do, but that is what I hired for right? I just need to let her do it (not easy). I am not a micro manager but I would like to be more than my signature on a couple hundred pieces of paper every day.

I have not done any research, or written one page in weeks, I have been building websites, networking, dealing with contractors, suppliers, the freaking government, lawyers, solicitors, and my personal favorites, the local chamber of commerce, building inspectors, city council, and zoning commission. Jesus, I have kissed so much ass my goatee is starting to thin out.

Welcome to starting a small business. Tanya thinks I should let her handle more of this, maybe I should, she is way meaner than I am, and has a hell of lot more experience dealing with these people than I do. I think I am going to promote her from office manager to business manager, let her deal with this s**te, I will just be the CEO. You know that is not a bad idea, make her like my VP.

Ehh, she would definitely want a raise, an assistant, hell she would probably want my office. LOL
My self and my good friend Macallen have been pondering this today, he is only 25 years old though and was raised in an oak barrel so I am not sure how much I can trust him. Now that's funny, I do not care who you are.

Seriously though, I am not going to do anyone any good if I am dead. I am glad people care about me and will step in if I will not slow down. It is nice to be loved. Those two know me too well, I will not stop until I hit an unmovable force that is more powerful than I am. That force must then proceed to use a sledge hammer to crack open my skull and pour some sense in there. My wife manages to do that with a look, a touch of her hand, and the tone of her voice. Amazing.

Any way, starting a business is way harder than I thought it would be. I consider myself very fortunate as I think about it that these two women love and care about me enough to save me from myself. I guess I have came pretty close to self-destructing from the stress. For the men out there, this is why God wants us to have a woman, they are smarter than us, and if you get a really good one, they are the only serenity you could ever need.

Oh yeah, if you start a business, do it a lot younger than I am.

Here is some additional satellite data to consider. NASA's 20 year program seems to disagree.
