All intel that was available at the time said there was and several high ranking democrats thought the same, so how is false intel a lie. No one ever said they know exactly where they were, no one.

your post had some good points , but what do you believe we as a country need to do to change the increasing wealth gap we are experiencing in this country

Stop overseas tax shelters. If the money is made in the U.S. it shouldn't be stashed overseas to avoid taxes.
A former Representative put forth the idea that if a CEO makes more than 100 times that of the lowest paid employee that difference should not be able to be written off as a business expense.
For example, if the lowest paid employee made $35,000 a year, anything over $3,500,00 could not be written off.

Please share with us examples where people in Congress belonging to the opposition party of a first term sitting president did something other than trying to make him a one termer.

Shouldn't their NUMBER ONE PRIORITY be doing their job?
Their job is not to figure the best way to get re-elected.

Most, if not all, of us conservatives, and I'm sure some moderates too, came into this forum with the same intent, and expectations as you. But, after getting some real nasty responses, from liberals like BoJester, Lou, Don Overton, Inyourface, Bluejacket, just to name a few, it doesn't take long to start returning the favor. One can not get into any discussions with these individuals without receiving a barrage of expletives, name calling, and trash talking. Am I guilty of some of it, yes I h**e to say I am, but I didn't start it first - I only responded to one of their trash talking replies. When I get lambasted by one of these jerks, my crusty old sailor years just seem to rise to the surface and wants to fire back. Too be honest, I always thought liberals were the "why can't we all get along" crowd? This has been an eye opener for me. I have some friends (retired military and police officers) who would like to join the forum, but after showing them a couple of posts by Bo jester and Lou, they declined, and I don't think I need to explain why.

Tell these people to tone it down, and I will do the same.

Actually, I have been responding to posts by telling them that I am sure, they are too intelligent to just trash talk without any real point. I must say I have seen this from both sides.
For example "It seems to me that Obangi and Kerry are already trying . . . " Being called a "dumbocrap" You must admit a Liberal didn't write that.
Both sides have to grow up on here.

And what did Daily Kos, Huff Post and other post when Bush was in office?
Tit for TAT, learn to read between the lines and check other sites for the same imfo.

I wasn't talking about media. I was talking about Republicans, mainly in the House, but also McConnell who said his number one priority was assuring Obama did not get re-elected. he didn't say anything about solving problems for the country. His number one priority, he said, was politics.

And, whose pockets are lined by the rich? What party affiliation has the most rich people? Which party in Congress has the most rich reps and senators? Of the top 10, or 20, richest people in America, how many of them are in the Democrat Party? Who is propping up the Stock market (making all these fat Democrats rich) by printing $85B a month of new money, and putting the country farther in debt?

Why it would be your Party, the Democrats, Obama, and Obama in cahoots with the Fed.

I thought that inept and incompetent president, you low information v**ers elected, was going to take all that money from the rich and distribute to you lower class lazy assholes. At least that is what he said, and you i***ts believed everything he said. Right? Instead, you jerks just made the richer more rich, and the poor more poor. Not to mention destroying the middle class. So, you low information v**ers, keep v****g for your socialist Democrats, and when your paycheck and bank account becomes smaller, don't come whining to us.

Listen to and read the news from all sources. Through their hatred of everything and anything Obama, the Republicans have blocked every- and any-thing proposed, even things they once advocated themselves.
They have said themselves, that their goal is to flush the country down the toilet and blame Obama. They made that clear the day he was first inaugurated.
Look at their last p**********l candidate. Romney openly proposed a plutocracy.

It's all about natural gas pipelines to Europe for the next 100 years and trillions in profits.

Than what is this about?
"The usual suspects..Bush's daughter with owning the only largest source of fresh water in the western hemisphere in PARAGUAY south America 100,000 acres@$17.00 an acre equal to Russia's fresh water lake or more (South America is place where least radiation is estimated to fall)
The other suspects are the Clintons who purchased 100,000+++ acres of land in Patagonia,ARGENTINA (purpose obscured but possibly a place for the inconsummate bastards of the world to hide during ww111. The remainder of the usual suspects are the potential inconsummate bastards at Hacienda Clinton."

I see no mention of pipelines or natural gas.

Just ask Cheney about the Scooter Libby situation, or in your case research it if you know how, and then come back and make the same totally ignorant statement.

Man, you libtards have to be about the most stupid people on earth!

I'm going to ask that, now doddering, fool about anything. He lied about Iraq, why believe him now?

That's OK. But I came from a family that served the U.S. military in both WW's and Korea and Viet Nam. No one was a LIFER but it was a sense of duty. I don't like Algore or Kerry, but at least they did go, unlike Clinton. Even though I came from a republican v****g family, and democrats were presidents during all these wars, politics were thrown aside to support the country. Now I see this division of the late 60s, early 70s, coming back. I thought this was all behind us.

I think it's worse.
As a liberal, I would be willing to discuss intelligently any of the many problems facing our country with any one. That's why I got on this forum to begin with.
However, unfortunately, I find little of that. No attempt to discuss, face facts, or be rational, just hatred and name calling.

A little aside, here. At one of my previous jobs, we had a little lunch group. Myself, a Christian; John, a Jehovah's Witness; and another man (I forget his name), a Socialist. Wow, did we have some discussions, all friendly.

Okay, this is just the sort of thing I've been talking about in other posts; using negatively-connotated words to describe someone, or "labeling". Such things as "geezers on Medicare" as a descriptor for a group of people, for instance. As it happens, I and my wife both could fit into that group. I am 71, and I'm a cancer patient, living on insurance and Workman's Comp. My wife is 67, and on Social Security Disability.

I have been a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Technician for 40+ years, and I feel insulted that you arbitrarily choose to lump me into your "geezers" group. My wife worked in a large medical center for 18 years, winning Employee of the Month several times, and Employee of the Year once. She feels insulted by you for the same reason.

Why don't you partake of a little thoughtful introspection before you start with the generalized name-calling? It's poor technique in a discussion, and does nothing but make others mad and discount any real and valid points you might try to make.
