We need to come together and fix this thing; wasting money and time attempting to repeal it in the House does nothing.

What we have in front of us is significantly different than what was passed in the Congress - and it is extremely doubtful that it would come close to passing today.

Given that, what exactly do you propose be done to fix it, and who do you propose do that?

Certain parts of this bill can be revised and other parts repealed--if Congress will stop the cheap theatrics or doing nothing. The lack of cooperation and compromise by both parties has led to the most unpopular and do nothing Congress ever, and we the people are suffering for it.

What can I do about it? The only thing available. Make others aware that the ACA is not working, that Congress has been extremely remiss in doing their job, and encourage everyone to write, as I have and a number of times, their rep in both the House and Senate.

I have also written my reps here in IL and of course I don't believe that it will do any good because they are all Chicago picks. In IL when we say "we the people" it really means we Chicago. I also believe that there are many in congress that are afraid of opposing OIllegal for fear of being called r****t. This seems to be MO of the state run media that anybody that says anything about "the one's" policies that they are automatically r****t. So no matter how good the ideas are if OIllegal doesn't think of them and suggest them they cannot be brought up.

The problem there is the Obama administration is bound and determined to not accept any changes - even the one they already announced, the employer delay, and they are backed up my Democrats on that position. Perhaps you'll recall that Obama vowed to veto the bill that would have been Congress's authorization to delay that mandate one year after his administration announced that is what they were doing. As long as he can get away with inane positions like that and suffer no serious criticism by the main stream press, compromise would seem an unreachable goal.

I agree with what you said about the dems and obama, but that does excuse how the reps have been acting. We can finger-point all we want and nothing will change. Writing both the Dem and Rep in the House and Senate to express outrage.

The Holy Bible predicted our time of the ever widening gap between the rich and poor. The Brotherhood of Darkness or the Children of Darkness are digging this pit for all of us as they hold us in open contempt. Obama proudly proclaims the fact of his desire to skyrocket the price of gas and electricity. This is the overall scheme of the Children of Darkness.

Two predictions in Revelation are about the Church as a whole: a) the love of many will grow cold; b) it will be one of complaint.

You do know the Republicans only have control of the House, don't you? You do know they've tried to offer alternative programs that Reid in the Senate will not even allow to be debated, don't you? You are aware that Obama demonizes the motives of those who express concern about the current program, don't you? So, what exactly would you have the Republicans do? I am not a Republican, I purposefully refrain from membership in or contributions to either party. I tend to look at specific individuals and issues - and on this issue I cannot imagine what any opposition can do given the arrogant position of Obama.

Problems already, what a surprise! Simple tip of the iceberg, this will become connon place until no media bothers with it, it will be like a traffic ticket like story.

Dave, you are missing my point. You want to make it all the fault of Democrats, fine: now, what has changed? You asked what I could do. I told you: write both parties of your local representatives in the House and Senate to express outrage nothing is being done. If you feel only Democrats need to hear this outrage, then write them.

Don't think I missed your point, it's just that I'm a bit frustrate like many others I know. I live in NY State, a place where neither Senator nor our local Congressman is likely to heed any complaint. At this point they know two things - Obamacare is an approaching train wreck, and, despite all 3 being big supporters of it, there is virtually no way it will cost them their seat. Like so many of their ilk, they remain confident that the special interests that put them in office will sustain them there.
