There are many millions of people to blame.

But in my mind I blame some of the world leaders: the ones who failed to take the p******c seriously and apply their governments to it and lead their people in appropriate responses to it: Trump, Bolsanaro, Boris Johnson -- the ones who "played down" the significance of the v***s and favored profits over people. I don't know the politics but I have thought Modi was one of those bad leaders like those three I listed. I know that many here on OPP disagree with me about whom to blame, and disagree with me about who's a bad leader and who isn't.

You refer to the UN etc. I would think of the WHO (World Health Organization). The WHO was helpful earlier in the p******c; but what did the U.S. President Trump do -- he withdrew from WHO and some other cooperative international agreements. From his speech at the UN a few years ago, we got a strong indication of what he thinks of international cooperation (he doesn't think much of it).

A Long time ago, and far away there were two men.. both in the fire dept, Both vying for the captaincy, Both men scored the exact same, but the "minority" in that equation got the job over the other guy.. How is that even remotely fair, even though these two men were the best of friends one was black and the other white..it's just the way it's done to show that equity, it wasn't that one man was smarter than the other, it wasn't that one man had more time than the other, it was all about race!!.

Well, I don't know what you qualify as a factual basis, but there *is* published research on the relative education levels between parties...

According to a 2018 Pew Research Center poll, Democrats are now the party of college graduates, especially those with post-graduate work. Meanwhile, people with a high-school degree or less slightly lean toward Republicans.

According to Pew, 54 percent of college graduates either identified as Democrats or leaned Democratic, compared to 39 percent who identified or leaned Republican.

I don't know if this will make you feel any better but 25 years ago, those numbers were perfectly reversed in the Pew survey, with the GOP holding a 54-39 advantage among people with college degrees.

According to my observations that change coincides with the changes in the GOP itself as the party moved away from what I considered to be a reasonable conservative base and toward what I would call a f*****t-leaning conservative base.

It's possible that the same factors that brought college grads to the Republican party in 1996 is bringing college grads to the Democratic party in 2021.

Things change.

It's my opinion based on evidence that I've seen. I'll give you one example...

A 2017 report by The Nation Institute and Center for Investigative Reporting looked at the terrorist incidents in the US between 2008 and 2016. It found:

115 Far right inspired terror incidents. 35% of these were foiled (meaning no attack happened) and 29% resulted in fatalities. These terror incidents caused 79 deaths.

63 Islamist inspired terror incidents. 76% of these were foiled (meaning no attack happened) and 13% resulted in fatalities. These terror incidents caused 90 deaths.

19 incidents inspired by left-wing ideologies (and eco-terrorism). 20% of these were foiled (meaning no attack happened) and 10% resulted in fatalities. These terror incidents caused 7 deaths.

There are other sources, such as the FBI but the findings are pretty much the same for all of them.
