And just what do you think gives you the right to determine what anyone "deserves" as pay. The person writing the paycheck and the possible employee are the only ones who should be part of the negotiations. I believe YOU deserve one dollar a year for your work, but that should not get in the way of your attempting to negotiate what you THINK you are worth with whom ever wishes to hire you.

Welcome to the site, we are glad you decided to join us for the long journey, or perhaps to venture into madness, which ever way you look at it.
This president has two main priorities, promoting the "progressive" platform all the way into tyranny and pushing the "gay agenda". Come to think of it, they are both part of the same thing to totally change the country so that a dictatorship made of people with only one rule "Power for us, damn the rest of the world" will be able to take over. To do that requires the destruction of the family and the control by the government of the education and values of the children. If the family unit stays intact, their propaganda will have less power to brainwash the next generation. Between the "Gay agenda" and the destruction of any respect for those who have fought for this country, and making Christianity a "H**e crime" they are slowly achieving their goals. Keep fighting for the veterans, they fought for us..

As usual Thomas Sowell wrote a great column. I just picked up to more books by him "Education Assumptions versus History and Inside American Education. They were recommended by friends whose judgement I trust and so far look promising. Having read a number of his books, I fully understand why the "progressives" h**e him so and call him an OREO and a fraud and a number of things that I don't intend to repeat

I have responded to your questions in a most personal way, far more than I had really intended to, but having done so on other threads, the story is all ready out, so I was revealing nothing new. I did ask you a couple of questions that I am hoping you will answer, as you have not yet done so. The two books you have written, what are their titles, and are they available some place? You also stated that you agreed with a couple of conservative ideas and that you would comment on what they are, but haven't done so yet. It would be interesting to know what they are.

Just an update on our "grandparents" role. Sunday we had the opportunity to meet our new "adopted grandson" so to speak. The psychologist brought him (we will call him "Pete" though isn't his name, and his foster parents over to meet us and to have pizza with us. His mother and her boyfriend are behind bars for rape and sexual assault of a minor, and a number of other crimes, and I think he will be with the foster family until he goes to college. They are good people and the psychologist is a personal friend of ours that we have worked with a number of times before. The other counselor is a young married man who was one of our "kids" years ago, so he has the frame of reference to be a lot of help.He and his wife will be sort of like substitute parents. "Pete" didn't say much and was rather wary, which is to be expected, but took to the dogs and talked to them more than to us. Later we will take him next door (that's 70 acres away) to visit the goats . Maybe he will get interested in the tricks we are teaching the goats and that will help his confidence. We are still trying to teach Zeus to carry the flowers for the wedding that is now just three weeks away. Sounds like about two hundred people, most of whom do not even know the couple, and that includes us. thank you all for the prayers on "pete's" behalf.

We will put updates on the wedding on "A serious Question for Christians" which I will pull back up shortly.

I think that may now be on page two. It's much to time consuming to redo, and many will not find it all all interesting.
