Surely some one here can refute this forwarded message with numbers or something else. If not we may have a large number of right leaners reading this and getting enjoyment from thinking about what it says about anti-gun people.

Today I swung my front door wide open and placed my Remington 30.06 right in my doorway. I left 6 shells beside it, then left it alone and went about my business.
While I was gone, the mailman delivered my mail, the neighbor boy across the street mowed the yard, a girl walked her dog down the street, and quite a few cars stopped at the stop sign near the front of our house. After about an hour, I checked on the gun. It was still sitting there, right where I had left it. It hadn't moved itself outside. It certainly hadn't k**led anyone, even with the numerous opportunities it had been presented to do so. In fact, it hadn't even loaded itself. Well you can imagine my surprise, with all the media hype about how dangerous guns are and how they k**l people. Either the media is wrong or I'm in possession of the laziest gun in the world.
The United States is 3rd in Murders throughout the World. But if you take out Chicago, Detroit , Washington DC and New Orleans , the United States is 4th from the bottom for Murders. These 4 Cities also have the toughest Gun Control Laws in the United States . All 4 are controlled by Democrats.

It would be absurd to draw any conclusions from this data – right????

Old Roy, you need a new gun! My double barreled 12 GA shotgun can shoot down 2 crows, do a mid-air backflip & eject the spent shells and load 2 fresh ones at the same time! With the first bounce on the porch it can shoot the paper boy and the next bounce gets the mailman. I tell ya, the thing is almost magic. Almost, it still has to be in a human's hands to actually accomplish all of this. All by itself it just lies there making the house look good.

Good line! and probably true. When i was a kid (long time ago) we all had guns. i think i had a couple .22 rifles, a couple light shotguns, a deer rifle and a black powder pistol. But we did not shoot anybody. It just ws not done.
Now where i work in North Minneapolis (MN) the crack gangsters frequently shoot at each other. There was a drive by shooting last week, three people hurt. There was a shooting in a club Sunday night, nine people hurt. It seems to be part of crack gangster culture. and some moronic young men *imitate* the gangsters.
Now it would certainly be good if we could keep these trigger happy morons from getting guns. But since the Govt can't seem to stop them from getting cocaine and heroin, which have to be imported from other continents, i don't think it can keep them from getting guns. (Or maybe it doesn't WANT TO; gang violence is very useful to power loving politicians)

Of course guns do not k**l on their own. Who ever said they did? The real argument is that guns are designed to k**l people. Spoons are not. Cars are not. Acting like guns are not weapons is just plain dumb.

I would rather have the extremely long barreled 12 gauge my son has that holds its patter for very near 100 yards. It is not a true scatter gun like most 12 gauges are.

Gun safety is the key. Much like in the fifties when gun safety was taught in schools.
Perhaps if they're were more knowledge instead of constant fear for guns we wouldn't have so many wracked out registered Dems shooting up movie theaters

Depends what your hunting, I'm am glad to see that you have no worries about the people running our country right now or in the future, just think what a wonderful place we would live in if Bush/ Chenny had the kind of power this regime has now.

Also I don't need a false list, pickup any newspaper and read about ghetto violence, most made it pretty clear at the polls which side of the line they're on, haven't seen a lot of conservative based ghettos, have seen a lot of ILLEGAL gun crimes.
Maybe instead of blaming guns you should blame those who use them improperly.

I live in Alabama. No ghettos. But according to the FBI three of the four cities in my state have higher gun death rates than Chicago. (FYI you can legally carry in all three.)
