My favorite part of the movie was when they were climbing that waterfall. Not sure if that was in the original movie. If you haven't seen the remake yet, I strongly encourage you to watch it. I think it was better than the original. You can probably find it on fmovies.is it's free. You don't even have to sign up

I did see the original. Thanks for the tip, Mr B. I'll do that.

Seven states — Maine, Arizona, Kansas, Wyoming, Alaska, Vermont, and now Missouri — do not require a permit to carry a concealed handgun within their borders.Feb 2, 2016. This is the U.S. Constitution at work. And, yes, our crime rate has decreased. You never know who is armed.

Reminds of one of the best movies ever. Point Break. The remake. Not the original. That movie is one huge adrenaline rush from beginning to end. And nothing in that movie was special effects. It was all real.

Point Break brings back good memories. One day when I was in the Peace Corps in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa I was reading the International Herald Tribune with a cup of coffee in a cafe when I saw a group of American Sailors in uniform wandering down the street. As they passed I said hello. They came over and we got acquainted. They were from the U.S.S LaSalle. They indicated that they wanted to buy some souvenirs but didn't speak French. I told them I would be their guide and interpreter. We had a great time. When it came time for them to return to their ship they invited me to chow. How could I refuse? After we ate they ask if I wanted to see a real American movie in English. Well, sure!. I was unfamiliar with the films so I ask which one was the best they had. They all agreed "Point Break". Great movie and great company. I still have the belt buckle and the lighter they gave me. Great memories. Thanks a million for reminding me.

That IS what it says; I'm pretty good, huh? only in this case, en is used as on. I probably should have said con which would have been more clear. Sometimes I screw up typing Spanish. (I screw up speaking it also, it is not my native language.) I should have used Google T***slate. I really had to think about that one.

Excellant job. Kudos.

Rain feels like BB shot in the face. You need goggles and a muffler to stay out in it.

If you have ever ridden a motorcycle, you know, rain feels the same. Like road gravel hitting your hands. I always wore a helmet with a face shield so I never got hit in the face. To get caught in a surprise rainstorm with no shelter is painful.

Hablo español, y muchos mexicanos se parecen a mí. Una problema: Soy más alto que la mayoría de los mexicanos. Podría fingir que soy un español en los cupones de alimentos. Todo es bueno.

Google T***slation:

I speak Spanish, and many Mexicans look like me. One problem: I am taller than most Mexicans. I could pretend to be a Spaniard in food stamps. Everything is good.

If the police did their job and cracked down on N**is and the klan there would be no a****acists. For starters the police should stop and check the identity of anyone carrying a firearm to a protest. While checking their identity they should be disarmed and searched so the officers are safe. If it is found they are precluded from carrying a weapon for reasons of prior convictions, mental illness or PPOs they should be arrested and their weapons confiscated.

If you lived in a 'free State', like mine, you, like every other citizen, could carry weapons concealed legally. The very thought of that probably sends you to your 'Safe Place' where you can hug your teddy bear. Believe it or not, there are still places in this country where the Constitution is still in effect... and we like it that way. We do not need 'Save Places'.

Burma Shave - Reminder of years long ago

For those who never saw any of the Burma Shave signs,
Here is a quick lesson in our history of the 1930's to the 1960's.
Before there were interstates, when everyone drove the old 2 lane roads,
Burma Shave signs would be posted all over the countryside in farmers' fields.
They were small red signs with white letters.
Five signs, about 100 feet apart, each contain 1 line of a 4 line couplet.....
And the obligatory 5th sign advertising Burma Shave, a popular shaving cream.

Burma Shave - Reminder of years long ago br br Fo... (show quote)

When I was a kid, on our Sunday picnics, we all read and discussed the Burma Shave signs we encountered. Another piece of Americana that has almost totally been forgotten. They were a fun part of my childhood. Thanks for the post, pafret.

Both of my State's Senators are RINOs. I really didn't believe a Mormon would be a RINO, but, Flake is.

Ahh no. Collusion does not work. However, getting rid of foul lil twits from the LEFT, will help everyone else so very much. So, I went over to my weapons storage house, took out of the safe there some extra rifles and shot gun that I have stored there, so I can help arm friends and neighbors. We just might gather for a meeting and focus out a plan to deal with the lefties......I have plenty of ammo.....

I love your man cave. I had a M1A that I put thousands of rounds through. Nice collection. I bet that 10/22 is proud of it's brothers.
