Unemployed White Men And Women Need Not Apply

WASHINGTON -- President Obama is planning to introduce an initiative with specific targets: African-American and Hispanic men who have disproportionate rates of unemployment.
Under the "My Brother's Keeper" program, foundations, businesses and community groups would develop plans to help men of color at particularly vulnerable times of their lives, administration officials said.
In previewing the initiative during last month's State of the Union address, Obama said, "I'm reaching out to some of America's leading foundations and corporations on a new initiative to help more young men of color facing tough odds stay on track and reach their full potential."
Obama had planned to hold a White House event last week to officially present the project, but it has been postponed because of bad weather.
Among the challenges faced by the "My Brother's Keeper" program: The jobless rate for black men older than 20 in January was 12 percent, compared with 6.6 percent for the nation as a whole.
For Hispanic men older than 20, the jobless rate last month was 8.2 percent.
For younger b****s and Hispanics, unemployment rates are even higher.
One model for the new effort is a mentoring program in Chicago called "Becoming A Man," which encourages young men to develop education and job training goals.
In a meeting with Obama a year ago, members of the BAM program talked about problems with gangs, drugs, gun violence and substandard schools in their neighborhoods, and how so many young people are at risk for lives of crime, poverty or early death.
Speaking after that meeting, the nation's first African-American president, who grew up with an absent father, said he told the group, "I had issues, too, when I was their age. I just had an environment that was a little more forgiving."
Just as individuals have to change their approach and behavior, Obama said, "that's what it takes for communities to change. That's what it takes for countries to change. It's not easy."
Young men in the BAM program are expected to attend the White House ceremony whenever it is re-scheduled.
Two Obama administration officials discussed the "My Brother's Keeper" program on condition of anonymity so as not to pre-empt Obama's announcement.

That's it...the last straw. I refuse to be a victim of reverse discrimination. The next time I have to go "downtown" I'm going to hire a makeup artist to make me look Black before I go. I think I'll wear a large afro wig, a pair of white gloves
and hold a non-working cellphone up to my ear.

A decade or two ago, England did a study on v*****es and age appropriate timing. The study found waiting several months reduced adverse reactions to the v*****es. If memory serves, the age of nine months up was found to have less adverse reactions.

The study, further, broke the v*****es down by disease being v******ted for. It was the pertussis v*****e which caused the most adverse reaction.

I am needle abhorrent and h**e to suggest our little ones receiving more shots; however, I do not think putting a "cocktail" of various medications in a little one is not a good idea. We may want to consider single v******tions for, as the English did, for each disease.

It has been along fight regarding Jehovah witnesses. Obviously they were afraid of going to trial so in that aspect they have gotten there just reward. That. Child was murdered and they were on parole?? That church I would bet is not preaching what they are claiming. But in case they are this is one case I hope is further investigated. My Bible doesn't say that your to dismiss the whole medical community advice and just believe in a miracle! Its ludicrous to believe otherwise. Benny Hymn types scare me,

Congratulations on your adopted daughter! I don't know any details, but you must be a very nice person to adopt a child with ongoing health issues, especially at age 64, when you could, rightfully, focused more selfishly on your own enjoyment as you enter your retirement years. I must say, too, that your health insurance premium going up by only $300 a month to cover her is not a bad deal at all, especially with her health issues.

Why is everything about r****m? Can't there be just people out doing no good, regardless whether they were eggs thrown at a white, black, brown, or even red people's vehicles? Why is everything stemmed at black people only? What if every time a black raped a white and the w****s r**ted screaming r****m? Every time something happens to b****s it's a r****t thing. Get over it! You've burned your own bridges crying r****m one hundred million times. This is getting petty like little kids that want attention. I thought this was a mute point. Jehovah Witnesses are allowed to not administer blood t***sfusions last I heard. No jury on earth would convict I believe given the loss already suffered. We are again given a distorted version of the facts and until the whole story is presented I don't feel that an objective view can be given.
The poor parents that bought into that lie preached from the pulpit. The pastor is just if not more guilty in some aspects as these poor parents are. He is dangerous if thats what's coming over the pulpit to his congregation. I think that something is afoul and we can't decidee till all facts are on the table.
