Just checking to see if people read the story.
The way I see it is there just is'nt enough respect these days. No respect for the older and no respect for the young adults. The stories keep coming and they'll keep coming untill people start respecting the rights of others.

Far too many people over react to things. I remember as a young person toilet papering a tree in front of a house. My Papa grounded my behind for a month and I had to go clean up the mess. Needless to say, that type of parenting is now obsolete, and antiquated idea that one should do to others how they want people to do to them. Sad. Glad that you were not offended by my question/remarks.

Sorry. The right to life trumps property rights. This man took a teenagers life and has ruined his own; a lose-lose situation. Without the gun, considering the age and g****r differential, it most likely at worst, would have been a shouting match.

America, GROW UP!!! Stop leading the wealthy developed nations in gun deaths and incarceration. WE CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS!!! Join the Europeans, Canadians, Australians and Japanese. Enact sensible gun control!! Stand up to the NRA bullies and cowards who would turn our country into Afghanistan-west!!!

The only reason for the American Revolution was so that Southern s***e owners could keep their property. Then we wouldn't have that nasty old Second Amendment. We wouldn't have the other nine either, but he apparently hasn't thought that far yet. He is still under the impression that Rights come from Government, not God. Oh, that's right, Government IS God, he doesn't believe in the other one. That is his right; granted, no doubt, by the government he worships. Given his location, he should give serious thought to what happens in Mexico, with their Draconian gun control. Or Venezuela, or Columbia, or some of those other civilized places who have all those modern ideas of government,(oops, I meant gun ) control. Brian doesn't want to just control them, he wants to ban them. Oh, that's right, it's okay to have a single shot rifle, as long as you have a background check, register it with god, ( or should I say Government, you noticed which one is capitalized ), and account for every single cartridge.

Or China, or USSR, or Uganda, or... Agreed about life precedence over property but WHY would any rational person believe criminals (such as this guy) will obey laws? Chicago still has the public unarmed, yet is the murder capital. I APPLAUD the NRA for their belief in citizens (not criminals) having responsibility for their own defense.
