I just found this site last night and am still trying to learn how to navigate thru it. Therefore, I'm trying to go back and find my replies. I do know I'm not one to side with haters. Well. I've done the same thing Hemiman did, a few times, or at least something similar. When you go off half cocked, it rarely turns out well. We all need to think before we speak. I can't blame him. That Jack2014 is one of the most annoying trolls I've ever met. I just ignore him now. It keeps me from saying something I might regret, or worse, something I'd enjoy.

Whenever a person starts a post with,"I hate to say this"you probably shouldn't.I really don't need you preaching at me,you had nothing to do with it.It was my mistake and I apologized.If she has something to say I think she is more than capable of doing just that.I don't mean to be rude but you are doing almost the same thing I did.

I wasn't preaching. I've done the same thing you did, and I regretted it. It wasn't really aimed at you, and I wasn't trying to give you a hard time. I was simply using you to make a point. We all should think before we reply, including myself. My response was directed at everyone, not just you. Sorry if you took offense. I was just trying to get everyone to think.

They apply to all of us from time to time. Sometimes it is as simple as misunderstanding what the other person said, or misinterpreting what they meant. No matter which it might be, hatred and vile comments never get you anywhere, except to be ignored by most of the other people who post here.

I would not characterize some of the responses you received as "hate mail." I think some of the posters here, myself included, are still a little giddy from happiness at the repudiation of Liberal policies on the 4th. Feeling a little "froggie" if you prefer. People here feel strongly about issues, and tend to get a little overreactive, at times. I still feel this is preferable to the apathy that is so much more common among voters. I would rather see someone involved, even if I disagree with them, than the clueless dolts who make up so much of the electorate.

You are so correct. It's much better to be involved. I didn't mean for my post to be offensive to anyone and I hold firm that there was nothing offensive in it. There will always be a few people who will respond in an inappropriate manner and that's ok. And you are so correct that many of us are full of giddiness and happiness right now. Thanks again
