I just found this site last night and am so thankful for insomnia last night. I read so many positive and informative articles. I posted "the decline of American values" last night and was blown away by how nasty some can be with their replies. Thankfully, there are so many informative topics and so many positive, respectful and intelligent people who are active on this site. Last night was the first time I had expressed, publicly, my concerns and sadness for the state of our country. I am one to remain positive and cheerful at all times and after reading some of the utterly h**eful and disrespectful comments I almost decided to discontinue further participation on this site. However, I will pull up my bootstraps and put my big girl panties on because there's so much I can learn from the good people who participate in this site.

Thank you, that's very kind. I just might follow your advice as I make it a rule not to invite to much negativity in my life. It amazes me at how much hatred I have witnessed in such a short period.

Thank you Grace. I can honestly say I am completely disheartened with the h**eful comments. I am shocked. Are these h**eful people actually adults? I will admit that I am naive in respect to the h**eful behavior that some people show. Life is just to short and precious to be so angry and h**eful. Maybe this site is not for me. I don't want to ruin my beliefs in the goodness of others. :-)

It has not ruined by belief in the goodness of others, but it has opened my eyes to the negativity in the world. Sometimes you will find goodness here, and it will make the nastiness fade away.
