The morbidly rich are irrelevant to democracy. The rich's only relevance to society is in what they do with their riches. Democracy will not survive itself. Eventually the people will vote away their democracy for safety or favors.

During the Roosevelt administration, we got the rich to pay their fair share. Since Reagan, this has not been the case. We can get the rich to pay up. It just takes some political will.
