My name is Riley Gaines. I’m a 12 time All-American swimmer with 5 SEC titles under my belt after my time at the University of Kentucky.

Unfortunately, my life completely changed when I was forced to share a locker room with and compete against biological male Lia Thomas at the 2022 NCAA Women’s Swimming Championship.
It gets worse:When I tied with Lia Thomas – down thehundredthof a second – I was told that the NCAA hadn’t planned for a tie and that Thomas had to have the trophy for photo purposes…
My story is not unique. Unfortunately, countless young girls and women like myself are being sidelined as biological males infiltrate and dominate our competition.
That’s why I’m taking a stand against Democrats’ attacks against women’s sports.
The Democrat “Party of Science” doesn’t believe in biological differences.
The Democrat “Party of Women” doesn’t support women.
Democrats are erasing our dreams in the name of wokeness.
Fortunately, Republicans in the House have introduced a bill that would codify the protections that women have been able to count on for generations, ensuring that biological girls will have an equal playing field. Together, we’re making it clear we will not stand for discrimination against girls and women in sports. But Joe Biden is threatening to do just the opposite – to cement into law the destruction of women’s sports… If we fail, I fear this could be the end of female athletic competition as we know it…
One question has been vexing with all left’s fealty to the dangerous, radical transgender fantasy is where the heck have real women, REAL feminists been all this time? Why aren’t they supporting women?
Feminists have hated men for 50 years. So, why, all of a sudden, are they supporting men who are taking over women’s sports, TV roles, and every other thing?
Well, apparently a few really are starting to speak up at long last.
I personally think that trans women, especially ones who are under 18, and or still produce testerone, should not be competing on women's teams. Other than that, trans people should not be discriminated against 8n any way. Some people here do not accept that people can be very different than they are.

Lets keep it simple. Men should not be allowed to compete against real women in women's sports.
Feminists should agree on that.

There is no discrimination: Men play in men's sports leagues and women play in women's sport leagues.

What about the transgender swimmer competing in women's swimming events?

He is a man who has a psychiatric condition known as 'gender dysphoria'.

Handicap horse racing requires horses to carry a predetermined weight based on the horse’s past performances. The added weight levels the playing field by assigning horses with better records to carry more weight. In theory, handicaps give all the horses an equal chance of winning.
So, with this in mind, considering the physiological advantage of the biological male 'transgender', weights could be added to arms, legs or torso to even out the advantage they have over their rival biological women for the sport that they are competing in. Separate locker rooms are required.
I would rather see a separate category altogether for those identifying with 'gender dysphoria' and taking the hormone treatments.

Right now we are strictly speaking about sports. If you and other Liberal/Leftists feel the need to hedge by making a boiler plate statement supporting trans folks in all other aspects of American life, well okay.
What you fail to consider is that you cannot easily split off sports from all other aspects of modern life. The entire Trans Rights juggernaut will not concede a single part of their mission. You are throwing real women under the bus by your continued support of Trans anything. I can only surmise that you are good with that. Really really good with that. What do you care ? Are you or any of your female relatives impacted by fake women stealing sports opportunities away from them ?

Actually, he couldn't place higher than, I believe the 300's, when competing against other men, so he grew his hair out and put on female clothes (except for something for his "package") and swam with women so he could finally get something besides a "participation trophy". Swimming with dolphins does not make you a dolphin....

"Swimming with dolphins does not make you a dolphin..."
AND; swimming with women does not make him a woman.
Why aren't women who transition to men competing against men in sports?
