I haven't played chess in many years, myself. My spouse and I enjoy and play the card games: bridge and pitch.
In my 20s I was into pinochle. We played 3 handed, 4 handed, 4 handed double deck, and 5 handed double deck. Now someone would have to explain the rules again to me. Also the rules are not the same everywhere. I lived in the city, but was taught the country rules of my hillbilly cousins. One of my city friend's mom had played tournament pinochle and when she sat in one our games, she was aghast at how we played.
We were teenagers playing 4 handed. My brother and I against two of my sisters girlfriends. I was the only person in the game unaware that everyone else was c***ting including my brother.
