Like when American soldiers risked their lives for Bowe Bergdahl who deserted his unit.
A fellow soldier, Mark Allen, sustained a serious head injury while on the rescue mission to find PVT Bergdahl. Mark Allen died a few years later from the injuries he sustained in that rescue operation. The military code is “No man left behind,” and the code did not vary even for this Army deserter.

Two weeks out of high school, me and a bunch of other young guys stood before a US Navy officer and swore the oath to support and defend our constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God.
Swore a similar oath again when I became a fire fighter.
Helped a lot of people who were in dire need of help.
