Oh my goodness! Lightning may strike you on this one! 😎

Remember making this statement to me earlier on this thread, CD?…….I didn’t realize that’s what “amicably” meant! LOL!

Sigh...

My point to Rose was that in the past (not the present) we have had these discussions and were much friendlier to each other...

I was admitting that our present discussions are not as civil or amicable as could be desired...

To be fair, when I first joined the OPP I was attempting to work on a character flaw.. That experiment is over

I meant you expressing concern over others rejecting Christ. Though I don’t know what you do face to face. It wasn’t a judgement - it was questioning

The distance hasn’t increased. Remember this medium is very limited.

I never give up hope for anyone. I’d like to see everyone here in heaven. No exceptions.

1. Attis...The Roman religion venerated Attis, who was said to have been born on December 25th to the virgin Nana, sacrificed as an adult in order to bring salvation to mankind, died about March 25th after being crucified on a tree, and defended for three days to the underworld.

His followers proclaimed that he rose on Sunday as the solar deity for the new season.

They tied an image of Attis to a tree on ""Black Friday" and carried him in a procession to the temple.

His body was symbolically eaten by his followers in the form of bread.

Worship of Attis began in Rome circa 200 BCE.

2. Greece's Dionysus is a savior-god whose birth was observed on December 25th.

He was widely worshipped throughout much of the Middle East as well.

He had a center worship in Jerusalem in the 1st century BCE.

In later years, his flesh and blood were symbolically eaten in the form of bread and wine.

His followers believed that he was the son of Zeus, the father god.

3. Four thousand years ago, the people of ancient Egypt celebrated the daily rebirth of Horus--the god of the Sun.

Each year, this cycle of birth, death and rebirth took place, and people accordingly believed that there is new life after death, like the Sun returned after a period of cold and darkness.

Winter festivals were also common in Greece and Rome, as well as in the rest of Europe.

When a new religion called Christianity invaded Europe, the new hierarchy had trouble converting the Pagans, because the did not want to give up their old holidays and ancient beliefs.

So Christian churches were built on ancient places sacred to pagans, and pagan symbols were incorporated into the symbolism of Christianity.

Within a few centuries, Christians successfully had the masses a new holiday celebrated on December 25th.

4. The famed Egyptian god Osirus is, venerated as a savior-god, may have been worshipped as far back as Neolithic times.

He was called Lord of lords, King of kings, God of God's...the resurrection and the life, the Good shepard...the god who made men and women be born again'''

Three wise men announced his birth.

His followers ate cakes of wheat which symbolized his body.

Worship of Osirus , and the celebration of his December 25th birth, were established throughout the Roman Empire by the end of the by the end of the 1st century BCE.

5..Mithra was a Persian savior.

Worship of Mithra became common throughout the Roman Empire, particularly among the Roman civil service and military.

Mithraism was a competitor of Christianity until three 4th century.

Their God was said to have been born on December 25th, circa 500 BCE.

His birth was witnessed by shepherds and by gift giving Magi.

This was celebrated as the "Dies Natalis Solic Invite" the birthday of the Unconquered Sun""

Many followers believed that he was born of a virgin.

During his life he was said to have preformed many miracles, cured many illnesses, and cast out devil's.

He celebrated a Last Supper with his 12 disciples, and ascended to heaven at the time of the spring equinox, about March 21st.

6..According to ancient Babylonian tradition, Semiramis (who eventually became known as the goddess (Astarte/Asheran/Ashtoreth/Isis/Ishtar/Easter in other pagan religions) claimed that after his untimely death of her son/husband Nimrod, a full grown evergreen tree sprang up overnight from a dead tree stump.

Semiramis claimed that Nimrod would visit that evergreen tree and leave gifts each year on the anniversary of his birth, which just happened to be December 25th.

The Catholic Encyclopedia and 1959 Britannica are some of the sources used to write these facts.

If you are incapable of searching these different gods of December 25th, I feel for you.

You’re not showing any signs of resisting the Holy Spirits conviction!

Your opinion is noted...Again!

Nothing that you can say proves that the messiah would need a second appearance to fulfill prophecy.

The real messiah will bring world wide peace and Kings of the foreign nations will acknowledge him.

The Temple will be rebuilt.

After the appearance of Jesus the temple was destroyed.

The Jews were driven out of Israel instead of being gathered back to Israel.

I doubt that you have ever read Hebrew prophecies pertaining to the signs that would follow messiah or you would be disappointed with Jesus and see that he fell short of being messiah.

If you have post some "old Testament" scriptures to prove you know.

The scripture of Isaiah 53 is usually the common fallback.

If it's not in the Hebrew scriptures then it's a false prophecy.

I look forward to your non-answer.

Those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior are in the Judgement reserved for only them. I have posted this several times in the past, but will again from one of my favorite sites, gotguestions.org.

The thief on the cross was saved by Jesus just before his death, which demonstrates that we can accept Jesus as our Savior right up until our death. So……we don’t know who all will be with us, we just know that we will……..Jesus Christ is the Son of God and died for our sins! 🙏🏻

What is the Judgment Seat of Christ?
Judgment Seat of Christ, Bema Seat of Christ

ANSWER

Romans 14:10–12 says, “For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. . . . So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God” (ESV). Second Corinthians 5:10 tells us, “We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” In context, it is clear that both passages refer to Christians, not unbelievers. The judgment seat of Christ, therefore, involves believers giving an account of their lives to Christ.

The judgment seat of Christ does not determine salvation; that was determined by Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf (1 John 2:2) and our faith in Him (John 3:16). All of our sins are forgiven, and we will never be condemned for them (Romans 8:1). We should not look at the judgment seat of Christ as God judging our sins, but rather as God rewarding us for our lives. Yes, as the Bible says, we will have to give an account of ourselves. Part of this is surely answering for the sins we committed. However, that is not going to be the primary focus of the judgment seat of Christ.

At the judgment seat of Christ, believers are rewarded based on how faithfully they served Christ (1 Corinthians 9:4-27; 2 Timothy 2:5). Some of the things we might be judged on are how well we obeyed the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), how victorious we were over sin (Romans 6:1-4), and how well we controlled our tongues (James 3:1-9). The Bible speaks of believers receiving crowns for different things based on how faithfully they served Christ (1 Corinthians 9:4-27; 2 Timothy 2:5). The various crowns are described in 2 Timothy 2:5, 2 Timothy 4:8, James 1:12, 1 Peter 5:4, and Revelation 2:10. James 1:12 is a good summary of how we should think about the judgment seat of Christ: “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.”

I go on what was prophesied about messiah and compare that with what Jesus did and didn't do.

There is absolutely nothing in the book that Christians avoid as much as possible (Tanakh) that says the messiah would need two appearances to achieve world peace and the many other prophecies that Jesus failed to accomplish.

When Christians do go back to Tanakh they find Jesus in most every scripture...when it's not so.

There are many instances in the so called old Testament where people repented and were forgiven of their sins.

If a person has the courage and honesty they can read Ezekiel chpt 18 and therein lies the remedy to forgiveness...by God's own promise.

p.s...I was in a conservative Christian church for years.
Micah 5
Marshal your troops now, city of troops,
for a siege is laid against us.
They will strike Israel’s ruler
on the cheek with a rod.

2 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
though you are small among the clans[b] of Judah,
out of you will come for me
one who will be ruler over Israel,
whose origins are from of old,
from ancient times.”

3 Therefore Israel will be abandoned
until the time when she who is in labor bears a son,
and the rest of his brothers return
to join the Israelites.

4 He will stand and shepherd his flock
in the strength of the Lord,
in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God.
And they will live securely, for then his greatness
will reach to the ends of the earth.

5 And he will be our peace
when the Assyrians invade our land
and march through our fortresses.
We will raise against them seven shepherds,
even eight commanders,
6 who will rule[c] the land of Assyria with the sword,
the land of Nimrod with drawn sword.[d]
He will deliver us from the Assyrians
when they invade our land
and march across our borders.

7 The remnant of Jacob will be
in the midst of many peoples
like dew from the Lord,
like showers on the grass,
which do not wait for anyone
or depend on man.
8 The remnant of Jacob will be among the nations,
in the midst of many peoples,
like a lion among the beasts of the forest,
like a young lion among flocks of sheep,
which mauls and mangles as it goes,
and no one can rescue.
9 Your hand will be lifted up in triumph over your enemies,
and all your foes will be destroyed.

10 “In that day,” declares the Lord,

“I will destroy your horses from among you
and demolish your chariots.
11 I will destroy the cities of your land
and tear down all your strongholds.
12 I will destroy your witchcraft
and you will no longer cast spells.
13 I will destroy your idols
and your sacred stones from among you;
you will no longer bow down
to the work of your hands.
14 I will uproot from among you your Asherah poles[e]
when I demolish your cities.
15 I will take vengeance in anger and wrath
on the nations that have not obeyed me.”

This predicted the first advent??? (according to your article)
But none of that happened... Odd....
I believe John 12:40 applies to them both.

You seem to neglect that Jesus was teaching the Jews.
The rapture is/was/still is, hidden from the Jews as it doesn’t apply to them.
They’re inheritance is earth, ours is heaven.
We are adopted into sonship.
The woman at the well is the exception. Paul was trained by God to deliver the gospel to the gentiles. He did so. Romans through Philemon.
Apparently the great falling away is happening.
Even so come Lord!
