Sadly you continue to deflect with your fascination on third world countries and the hunger issues there.
You're the only one deflecting here, sweetheart. You've been working very hard to make your failed search for children dying of starvation the ONLY thing that matters. That is very much a deflection from the wider range of problems that the tax credit is trying to help with.
All I was doing was trying to help you understand why your search failed.

The question remains: How many children in America die from starvation. You take several paragraphs to say you don't know.
Again, with your deflection... Those paragraphs were my extended efforts to help you understand why your search failed. Other's who have been reading this thread have even mentioned that I have the patience of a saint in dealing with your childish idiocy. Well, that patience is running out. I have better things to do with my time, and at this point it's clear you aren't interested in correcting your failed search because if you did, you wouldn't have anything left to deflect with.
So I'm going to paraphrase a summary here...
SU: The Tax Credit for Children just went into effect. This credit will help millions of American families feed their children. Yay!
AV: It's a waste of money. The only reason why children are dying of starvation is because of bad parents not because families don't have enough money.
SU: Dying isn't the only issue here... Due to low budgets, children all over America are suffering from hunger and malnutrition, which can cause a lot of problems for them. And people *do* die from malnutrition, BTW... Here's the data.
AV: I said "starvation!" That's not the same thing as malnutrition!
SU: Actually, those terms can be interchangeable depending on context. The CDC uses the term malnutrition which is why your search failed. You're using the wrong terminology.
AV: No! Those terms are NOT interchangeable! Starvation and malnutrition are not the same! Here's the proof!
SU: Actually, that's a summary of a book that calls protein-energy malnutrition, fatal starvation.
AV: The fact remains that neither of us can find the number of children that died of starvation!
SU: I haven't actually tried all that hard because I'm not the one claiming that child starvation is the only problem being addressed by the tax credit. I told you if you're looking specifically for deaths caused by starvation you're using the wrong terminology. In the meantime, can we get back to all the other problems associated with food insecurity that this tax credit is designed to help with?
AV: You're deflecting!
So this is where I say... we're done.
This topic has actually served it's purpose. I wanted to present a positive topic about something good that America is doing for it's people and see what kind of reaction would come from either side. You certainly answered that. You have demonstrated the foolish antics that a conservative will undergo to piss on anything coming from the left, even if it means ignoring the plight of millions of American children.
Well done.
