If they didn't want it they would stop it. They've cut the brake lines and put the pedal to the metal. Lemmings or Thelma and Louise. The end results are the same. Their end.

I especially agree that subsidies for many big businesses (such as the oil industry) should be greatly reduced or eliminated. Someone needs to expand on that topic, and to find just the right jokes about it, maybe something along the lines of (this is just a rough draft):

a nanny state, but only to give money, with no strings attached, to rich people with a record of stealing from poor people -- that's the kind of government the Republican Party insists on forcing the common people to pay for. Adopt a wan billionaire, help pay for his children to go to elite schools... and so on.
Well said! br br I especially agree that subsid... (show quote)

Don’t be common, man up and take what’s yours, crying doesn’t get it.

Higher taxes is not higher taxes for normal eveyday americans, so stop with the rhetoric like it is. I think billionaires need to be hit with a 40% real tax, no breaks beyond the write offs that go toward the effective taxable income.

Every time Biden talks about raising taxes he is careful to say for those making more than $400k, and then that is a marginal increase to where the full pop wouldn't happen until more like ten million. There is nothing wrong with people who have made lots of money in the from of profits not to pay taxes.

There is nothing wrong with no more subsidies for the oil industry that they do not return to americans ever.

Absolutely!
Un Earned Income should be taxxed to the maxx.
If you worked hard to get where you are, Fine.
If you “donalded it” all the way, then taxes to the maxes.

There’s a man who worked for a dollar and wasn’t paid !”

Un earned income!
Is money that flows like water on the upper levels.
It isn’t taxed as it should be for what it is.
Un Earned.
Wall Street day traders have algorithms that automatically trade, at last check,
70,000 Units per second.
So, at the end of the day sits a pile of money from a system that shouldn’t allow it.

So, if someone works their butt off to buy some houses and then rents them out, the rent money which is unearned should be taxed greatly? Or the smart man who see's growth in an area knowing the value of the land i going to go up uses his hard earned money to buy some and later sells it for a great profit because of the appreciation in value; that also should be greatly taxes?? Do you mean that unearned money?

Again, why?

So Puerto Rico's unions can be as corrupt as before and bleed the US dry? DC isn't part of the US, never was. Ask the Vatican and England. The constitution you read is the wrong one kevyn, similarly..ready for a blockbuster bye bye dems. Be happy, many repubs too :)

Green New Deal is not an infrastructure plan, G.N.D. is a transfer of technology away from carbon, so when Calculators replaced Slide Rulers because a Slide Ruler could do a lot of stuff like Sine and Cosine but could not add and subtract.

The G.N.D is a calculator that certainty can subtract, but I support the G.N.D. and not the infrastructure building, some things are better subtracted.

The Forever Free Lunch can't pay for infrastructure due to the fact that their support base is not the Armaments Industries, and the Armaments Industries will be mightly upset if their funding is diverted to Trailor Park Trash who haven't got a clue when it comes to armor plated bridges and roads.

Speaking of that:

Why is it ok to redistribute wealth upward, but not downward?

Tax the rich at 99% and you won't even dent the debt. It will come from the middle class one way or the other. They are already paying more for many things much more so than they used to have to pay. Steady increases so as not to be noticed. But even actual taxes will eventually increase, especially as the dollar becomes more and more devalued. Of course China cheating us in the trade arena won't help the middle class either.

Don't need to put a dent in the debt. Tax the 1% at 99% and you can pay of the debt with 10 trillion left over.

I think many folks underestimate how badly wealth is distributed in the US.
