But they’ve been relatively indifferent to both, because they find the first entertaining and the second irrelevant to his overall performance. Who cares what a president knows about epidemiology, so long as the markets are up?

They care now. The coronavirus has exposed the falsehood of so many notions Trump’s base holds about the presidency: that experts are unnecessary; that hunches are a substitute for knowledge; that competence in administration is overrated; that every criticism is a hoax; and that everything that happens in Washington is B.S. Above all, it has devastated the conceit that having an epic narcissist in the White House is a riskless proposition at a time of extreme risk."

They would have to convince Trump voters that their guys would have done better. Obama's record on the H1N1 and the BP oil spill do not show that Democrat Presidents handle a crisis any better or even as good.

I've been wondering when God was going to show His hand and strike down this illegal, foolish, lying, thieving, traitorous fool. He was just waiting for the perfect time, and the perfect weapon. Makes me almost believe, as George Washington believed, that God has set forth this land of freedom to be a light unto the world, a beacon of Hope and love and brotherhood. Not what this punk's been selling. Good riddance. I hope he, and his coveted 36% base choke on the TRUTH. It's about time.

P.S. The Market has given back ALL the trillions of dollars in gains since 2016 in less than a month. Just look at that stock market GO!!! DOWN. Don't look at your IRA or 401k. You might turn Democrat.

Wasn't "Warerloo" a song by Abba ? Some drunk keeps playing it on the juke-box... over and over and over. The democrats sound like a little mouse's last desperate "Squeek!" just before the cat pounces.
So sad.
So pathetic.

Ovommit and his lapdog media cronies kept a pretty tight lid on ovommit's Waterloo' s. His fiasco's are too numerous to list on this site but they certainly have been published on this site many times. The truth is, ovommit should be imprisoned due to his lack of protecting the American people and placing our needs secondary to every illegal that could sneak into our country especially those infected with t.b. , AIDS, whooping cough, mumps, measeals, rubella, chicken pox, ebola, swine flu, and malaria.

Another anti-Trumper with a bad case of TDS.
But just take a stroll down memory lane.
I seem to remember the H1N1 virus during the Obama administration. Where 59 million Americans contracted it, 265,000 were hospitalized and 12,000 died. The response of the mainstream media: crickets.
But under Trump, there have been 3,115 reported cases of coronavirus in the US and 60 deaths. And the response of the mainstream media: nonstop, 24/7 negative coverage.
Hmmmmm. Think the media might have something to do with hyping it all out of proportion?
This'll blow over like Stormy Daniels, Michael Avenatti, emoluments, the Billy Bush locker room tapes, the Muller Russian collusion investigation, and the Ukraine impeachment. Funny how once each of these 'crises' are over, we don't hear about them anymore.
