I agree! They presented their case in a professional manner. Said what they needed to say and then mercifully ended it for the week instead of droning on and on and repeating everything over and over. Well done!
No surprise(s). Partisans on both sides of this impeachment hold steadfast to the presentations put forth by their teams.

Yes,I agree!!! That is why Pelosi made huge mistake by announcing Impeachment when she knew it's going to be totally partisan affair !!!

I agree and I just saw Barasso commenting that the blood was draining from Schiff’s face listening to and seeing excerpts presented by Trump defense team.

I watched it (and listened to a lot of the first 3 days).
Trump's team totally demolished all the Democrats lies, let alone their false pretenses for accusing Trump.
Democrats should be ashamed for championing their team of blatant, underhanded liars.
But then they'd have to listen and understand what was actually being said.

Whatever else happens in the trial, I sincerely hope Justice Roberts admonishes shifty formally and publicly for this shameful act.

Last night couple of Republican Senators were really upset when Schitt said that he have heard from some of Republicans that they were threatened by President not to go against him or their heads will be on a pike !!! They were really upset and said it wasn't true at all, nobody ever threatened them!! Schitt should lose his lawyer license!!!

They have a very low lift considering the senate has made up it's mind not to do a trial, they didn't need to say a single thing and that would have been the outcome. These are opening arguments where both the prosecution and defense gets to have their say without direct rebuttal like there would be in the trial stage.
I will say it again, I hope they are stupid enough to vote to acquit, because the trial and evidence will go on for all of the months before the election, and then there will be the new articles of impeachment and we'll see if the white house wants to continue the charade of executive privilege on things that have no possible definition of being anything to do with executive privilege.
The house can for instance have a hearing on new evidence and have Parnas come to testify in an open setting...which would lay out the grounds for the need for a special counsel for the crimes and abuses of power involved with Giuliani. Then there are other house committees doing other investigative work on other issues, since the DOJ has refused to be a part of investigating and prosecuting anything to do with the administration.
