It couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Threatening bodily harm? President Trump doesn't do that.

Actually the reason they have a very low lift is that the case set forth by shifty, nadler et al. is ridiculous on its face and all President Trump's attorneys have to do is to show the facts that House managers have been trying desperately to hide.

The acquittal will come for sure, not because of bias in the Senate but because the House democrats have no case to begin with and President Trump's attorneys are going to mop the floor with them before it's over.

After the acquittal, the HOR can go right ahead on and do wh**ever they want, but they are losing this impeachment battle with the public--and with v**ers--and they will lose even bigger if they continue this vendetta against a sitting President. To attempt to start a second round of impeachment proceedings just a few months before an e******n--an e******n in which American v**ers will be able to choose who they want sitting in the oval office--will be political suicide because what they would really be saying loud and clear and convincingly is that they believe the American v**ers to be too stupid to make the right choice. That they know what is best for us.

The very best they can hope for now is that their sleazy, underhanded, elaborate plan to take over the Senate will work. They believe Trump will get elected again because they have no one who can beat him. ANd their only hope of stopping him from fulfilling his agenda is to get a majority in both HOR and Senate. Ergo this damage they are doing to our government and our country is a political game to force a few "vulnerable" Republican Senators to v**e for acquittal and use that to campaign against them in their bid to take over.

It will most likely backfire big time on them. But it is their only shot. Pathetic. Selfish, self-serving, and pathetic.

The only problem is they are making people not want to v**e democrat for anything. So house, Senate bye bye.

I would say that would be a HUGE mistake if the Dems decide to go the route of re impeaching the pres. Which, if the Senate acquits, they could go on and on and totally destroy their party absolutely. As it is, they have alienated many people with this charade that I am not sure they can recover, but, hey, they are not known for their brilliance and savvy, so I suppose they could do. If the Senate acquits, then the House would have to start over-the impeachment is gone-an impeachment is an indictment, and when an indictment fails, you don't get to use the same charge-double indemnity, right? Or does that not apply to an impeachment? Not sure. But in any case, the Dems should just lick their wounds, admit defeat, and start to work for the people of this country, perhaps even, (gasp!) work with the president in getting some things done, like immigration reform, the infrastructure and the like.....might be the best way for them to become relevant again - ya think?

It won't work, still no charges. Whereas the Republicans if my letter gets through have the Bidens by the short ones.

Think of all the peole who are watching this fiasco. think of how many democrats are leaving the party

they constantly make the mistake of over reaching.
they seem to think they can fool everyone all the time.
thery make bad matters worse by covering up, which is another way of saying lying. If they had not hidden
in the cellar when they had their get together about impeachment and if they had made it look like they were
being honest then they might have gotten away with more than they did, but to make it look like a star chamber
and make a show about it with pen give-a-ways and high fives they over did it. So once again they look like
fools and the country is laughing at them...........again.

Hey Carlos, good points.
Unfortunately, the "individuality" on the Conservative side is actually based in one of their positive traits: personal liberty. That means we are much freer to think and conclude according to our own consciences, rather than a prescribed "collective consciousness" like the l*****ts want and expect of each other. Since conservatives are actually more tolerant, that means there is actually more diversity in our midst, which outwardly appears to be a lack of unity like the l*****ts "enjoy". But theirs is a "dictated" unity, imposed for one, by peer pressure to conform. Which all boils down to the fact that l*****ts are just a bunch of control freaks, not an organic "general consensus" of free will thinkers that more generally describes conservative unity... I think.

Way past Time for these politicians to no longer be above the law! And those who protect them from prosecution, even from opposite parties, are as bad as governors or mayors who implement sanctuary cities for i******s!!! Without accountability, corruption will continue to fester.

And that has to stop if the Republic is to survive. It's the equivalent of a ruling class.

Yes.
