Of course food stamp use goes down as the economy improves.. It started when Obama got enough juice in the economy to bring done the various state exemptions by the rule in place for decades..
President John F. Kennedy implemented a pilot version of the program. In 1964, new legislation made the program permanent. Under the program, working-age adults without children can receive benefits for three months in three years. After that time limit, they must work at least 80 hours per month or participate in an education or job training program for that same amount of time. States can temporarily waive the three-month time limit when unemployment rates rise, and many did so during the economic recession that started in the late 2000s.
however you wish to twist the great recession numbers, it is clear and with our doubt that President Obama did the heavy lifting..
trump lives off the work done by President Obama and so far he has not ruined the economy.. not from lack of trying..
Do you think he will apply the 5% tariffs on Monday? I do not think they will happen. It seem the senate has found some brass and has been pushing hard for some thinking and sense on the use of tariffs to engage in an immigration issue.. so I think they have made a dent in the orange head and we will have a delay on Monday with the promise to do it if no contrition on the part of Mexico BP..
As the economy has improved, states have had to drop those waivers, especially since 2016. On April 1, 2016, after the first three-month period passed, an estimated 500,000 to 1 million people in 22 states lost their benefits.

It very much should be obvious that the "part time and Low wage" baloney is simply more of the never ending attempts on the right to try and minimize the work done by President Obama..
All should hide in shame for that kind crap..
Now I am not sure how trump attempt to kick people... (

Note that the number enrolled in SNAP (food stamps) INCREASED during Obama's term. There was a slight decrease his last year in office. But that decrease did not even begin to return to the number of when he took office. If his policies were so good for the economy, the high should have been when he took office, with a decrease starting at least one year after he took office. Instead, food stamp enrollment climbed far more for nearly 7 years.
