Morgue; Trump will be reelected in 2020. His term lasts until January 2024.
Then another conservative will be elected, to KAG.

Like I said, let's stick to the topic. How is his point not valid Rose? That's right self-defense isn't like on TV so why the need for semi-automatics? Are you expecting a foreign invasion, or afraid of your own government?
You're sure as heck not going to fight off the US military?

You brought up a******n.

What do you know about self defense? Do you really know its not like in the movies? Really? How do you reconcile the “right” for someone to k**l an unborn child while wanting to take away a means to defend that child? Its not rational.

Why are some of you afraid of semi automatics? Because of a very tiny number of people you think no one needs them? That IS s***e talk.

A semi automatic is just a tool and a good tool. Not too many years ago people wouldn’t have paid any attention to such foolish talk as getting rid of them.

Ah once again you bring up your relentless argument, but this is very interesting, there may be some awareness going on here with your reply on how to handle guns, and like I've pointed out to you the same goes for a******ns and the underlying problems, maybe you did read my post after all?

I'm not here to resurrect that conversation. The point is the underlying problems.

While Peter makes a very valid point also, the public does not need to have semi-automatic guns, not for self-defense or hunting. A h****r should perfect his sk**ls and not be using a semi-automatic, just as the archer perfects his aim.
Ah once again you bring up your relentless argumen... (show quote)

You know very little about hunting!!

Bow h****rs wound more animals than rifle h****rs!!

A Trump follower going against our own Constitution, why doesn't that surprise me. Just as I've read from another poster that they would be all in with a dictatorship if Trump was at the helm. Amazed in disbelief, who are you people?

Trump flourishes America, not really seeing it, two things have happened to improve our condition which was already improving, one hit to the deregulations, so we gave industry what they wanted at the cost to our environment, and not much on improvements on the cost of living trickle-down benefits. While food greatly increases peoples wages at the lower spectrum hardly has improved. Therefore it is now harder for them not easier. Which means by the way they will need more assistance due to it. I realize for the right connecting the dots is a challenge. I will say though, Trump finances have flourished.

Donald Trump Jr. in '24!
Now that is concise and cohesive, and probably true.

Who told you semi-auto rifles "jam, don't feed right, and must be kept spotless to operate"? Somebody fed you a load of s**t.

Couple years ago a tactical training company wanted to test a new weapon lube called Siip2000 EWL. Bravo Company Manufacturing offered them a stock AR15 carbine for the test. They lubed the BCG with Slip2000 EWL and racked it with their student training rifles. Over the course of 6 months, the BCM carbine was issued to students who fired a total of 35,000 rounds through it. Not once during that time did they run a swab through the bore. All they did was occasionally apply Slip2000 EWL to the BCG and racked the rifle for the next class. One time they had to replace the extractor, but that was all. The carbine never jammed once during the entire test.

America's Rifle
I have a Springfield Armory M1D in primo condition and I've never had a malfunction of any kind. The M1 Garand is a magnificent firearm, it is rugged, dependable, and accurate.

I have owned several semi auto 22s and they would jam with the exception of a Remington nylon 66. I prefer bolt and lever action guns. They have been trouble free for me. I remember M1s being sold for $12 each- all painted olive drab and in a barrel down at the auto parts store. Should have bought one.

My father used the M1 in world war 2. Guadalcanal and the Solomon islands. He said that if a jap was hiding behind a tree, you got him by shooting the tree.

Once again we had another mass shooting involving a semi-automatic weapon. So what's the solution? Well, we can start by banning the weapon of choice--the semi-automatic weapon. Do that, and we at least give people a chance. And notice, I am not saying ban all guns just the ones responsible for all the mass slayings. This leaves bolt actions, pumps, and revolvers to satisfy our second amendment requirement--all of which are better than when the second amendment was written.

This leaves the question of how we enforce such a law and as I stated before--a fine of 10,000 and a couple of years in jail will lend to them being turned in in droves. Of course, the most radical right wing nuts will hold out but there is no argument that outweighs the common good of our country and that's what it comes down to...the common good.

the second amendment was written , so "WE THE PEOPLE COULD DEFEND OURSELVES AND /OR OUR COUNTRY FROM AN ENEMY FROM OUTSIE OF OUR BOARDERS OR FROM WITHIN OUR BOARDERS " . not you or this government has the right OR authority to deny the people of this great country the "RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS" . so many people want to "ban " the weapon of choice . if you had your way and banned the semi- automatic firearm . what would you ban next ? then after that? and then after that ? you would ban every firearm that people owned . then only police and criminals would own a firearm . how would you defend yourself from a criminal with a firearm even if it were only a 6 shooter ? with a pitchfork or a knife ? or would these be banned also ? these could also be used to k**l a person . why not ban the automobile ? hay there are more people k**led in wreaks than with a firearm . why not ban airplanes ? hundreds of people die when a plane goes down .
