The chit-chat session says it is for “non-political talk”. If one person claims a topic is “political” but someone else expressly wants to “talk” about something in a “non-political” way, or, in other words, that first someone wants to make a “non-political” topic like “life” political, does that ipso facto relegate that topic (“ie “life”) unconditionally into a subcategory of “political”?

Isn’t that a form of suppression of free speech and mind control?

Yes, it should be. But, in a free society, expressing oneself is a right most exercise with vigor & passion. It is inevitable that the 'chit-chat' section turns political, regardless of its intended purpose. C'est la vie.

Is it suppression? Is the forum owner not free to set the rules for different sections? If there is already a free-for-all section why is another one needed?

I see your point and freedom of speech is something worth fighting for. You don't have to like what someone has to say but they do have rights. I do believe however in a time and a place as is scriptual

It is a subject that has been very politicized. Churches even urge their members to vote against certain candidates because of it. I am a certified foster parent and I have seen too many dirty neglected and mentally ill children. The same people who rail against abortion also rail against the food stamp program-Housing-- energy assistance --family planning--birth control--or anything that benefits the poor. I hear the lies about Illegal aliens getting welfare and the justifications for separation of children from immigrant familys. It seems like being pro birth does not extend beyond that.
