As long as what's been reported is accurate, which I believe it is, Mr. Noble should be charged with 2nd Degree Murder, not 1st Degree, and Not Treason, unless ANY Murder in Arkansas is said to be Treasonist, & the other charges are totally justified...

And the News Media NEED TO REPORT THIS AS A SINGLE ACT BY AN INDIVIDUAL & NOT CALL FOR STRICTER GUN LEGISLATION BECAUSE OF THIS INDIVIDUAL'S ACTIONS...

At what point are we allowed to fight vandalism and at what point can we resist with force. This was the individuals automobile which I am assuming he used for work and other family chores. To destroy this vehicle to the point where it might require a new paint job which will require it to be in the shop a certain number of days and requires said owner to pay for the paint job as well as a loaner vehicle isn't right. The police if called would take a report and that would be the end of it because of them being overburdened with other duties. Where and how do you go about and teach youngsters about property rights and how far they can and cannot go. T-P-ing a tree or bush didn't do harm in a physical sense that would require expenditure as the next rain would all but dissolve the t-p. Is throwing paint on the individuals car acceptable or for that matter anything else. I don't know about the firearm but something has to happen to stop vandalism.

While I can appreciate your sentiment(s) in this story, I feel that the killing was unjustified, and overreacting. Perhaps he could have tried to detain them until the police arrived. I don't know, and won't try to second guess, or 'Monday morning quarterback', him.

As I have said several times before, we have to go back to "caning" (using a bamboo "rod"), like they use in the Orient; It requires training and the use of select "tools" but it instills the idea that violence and the destruction of property is not tolerated. It is not cruel and unusual punishment.

I know what you are saying but we also don't get all of the facts like.
1. How many times before has he been the target of various pranks and vandalism.
2. How much damage has he suffered at the hands of the youth.
3. Have they targeted just him or others.
4. Is this his only vehicle.
5. Is he a teacher or youth worker and this was supposed to be a harmless prank done in fun or what.
All this can enter into the situation but like I said throwing rolls of toilet paper into trees or bushes is harmless and usually dissolves during the next rain. But malicious harmful pranks are uncalled for and parents better start talking to their teens about that.

Detain them? More than likely these nice sweet Sunday School perfect children who were out for a cheerful drive searching for an elder to help across the street, or to rescue a family from their burning home probably was in the possession of their own weapon and had he try to detained them, he would be the one in the morgue.

Sorry, my bad. Live Love, nah, not feelin it. Gotta get these papers done and would give just about anything to get out of doin' them. But, a student is a student with money and it is the vocation I've chosen, but I can get upset sometimes. I think I've earned that right. Just badding on myself, Sorry. Live Love...nah, still not feeling it.

No worries. I think that the title to the topic caused many to believe that this was a white on black shooting. It would be odd to see such a title for a black on white shooting. I think the creator just wanted people to react badly and be horrified that another "cherished, youthful prankster, just out for a drive and not intending any harm was shot by a racist bigot white because they had a loaded gun."
