I'm dealing with people from Bosnia, Pakistan, Iran, Cuba, India, and Mexico. How many damn languages should I be required to learn in my own country to get my job done without being a bigot? Honest question!
I had to download a translator app on my phone this morning in order to make the line haul driver from Cuba understand the simple thing that needed to be done this morning. I tried typing it out, and printing it in English because maybe my accent threw him off, but he couldn't read it. He drew me a picture, so I did the app thing out of frustration, and finally got through to him. It is aggravating, at best!
And another thing! How in the HELL does a person get a license to drive an 80,000 lb. vehicle when they can't read, and understand the road signs?
Diversity is great, and all; but how much do we accept?

My grand parents came here @ the turn of the 20th century. They had not only required to speak reasonable English but had to find jobs and support them selves. It was because of these rules that those immigrants became great Americans rather than some of the garbage we are taking in today. Think about Dearborn, Minneapolis, and other besieged cities. Wake up America and smell the manure before we become the new 'Amerika"
