So what would happen if NPPs gun was in the night stand, and NPP was not home, but I was when the two thieves broke into the house, armed with knives, and started to beat me up and rape me. I couldn't use his gun, because it was coded for him only, therefore, it would be fine that I be raped and murdered, as long as they couldn't use his gun after the havoc was over. Sounds good to you doesn't it?

It is also true that viable "smart guns" are unlikely to be available anytime in the foreseeable future. Technology of limited and doubtful benefit is slower to develop.

If a registration ID law is passed, you'll see more gun nuts wanting ammunition that will have a very low theft rate. I'm sure the NRA will foresee that and set abut greater research and development. Their manufacturers will not appreciate losing business. You know that old adage about "necessity." If you'll note tht during a war period, R&D really accelerates.

How truly stupid are you? Obviously, more so then I thought.

Connecticut instituted registration. So far, 99% have not registered the guns in the requirement.

New York instituted registration. So far 89% have not registered the guns required.

California has restrictions, which their law enforcement personnel admit cannot be administered.

By the way, the states have not figured a way to find the people who own the mandated weapons. Sheriffs are stating they will not enforce the mandates.

Dufus, the Chief of Police in Washington, DC just recently stated an armed citizen has the ability to stop an incident before the police arrive. There are other Sheriffs telling citizens to carry.

If you do not like guns, do not own one.

A blog reference. Great. I Read it. Full of generalities and vague undocumented statements and I am taking a wild guess here, mostly from far left zaelots.

A very nice feel good fairy tale for squeamish little girls from blue states. Oh yeah, your winning !!! Winning what ?

Keep practicing your propaganda skills and maybe one day you will discover how parroting generalized vague statements and or personal opinions don't mean squat to those who can think.

They know they can't affect anything - and that's net even the goal, it's all about acquiring and maintaining power. Anyone who cares to inquire honestly already knows that gun violence has been steadily declining for decades. Obama even acknowleged as much to Taya Kyle during his farce of a townhall. Carl Rove said it best: he who frames the debate wins it.

You're losing!

And not one of "accomplishments" has done nor will do a damn thing to stop gun violence. We already have background checks, they are pretty much a farce. Anyone can simply lie in the answers. If the FBI has your number, you can't buy a gun; if they don't, you can buy a gun.

The mental health issue: some doctors are asking patients if they have guns in the house. The VA a asks if you are feeling depressed or having feelings of hurting yourself of others. The answer to that....Hell, No!....you answer in the affirmative and they take your guns. So those who do need help in that are aren't getting it. Counterproductive I would say.

Ct. Gov Malloy. The state already had some of the strictest gun laws in the country when those little kids were murdered in their classroom. I am still sickened by that. But let’s address the idiocy displayed in the aftermath…..they bulldozed the school, built a new one then sent their kids right back into the same situation still unprotected. If ONE person in that school had been armed the outcome would like have been much different.

Seattle: Just recently that city overtook Chicago in gun violence. A tax on guns and ammo? Do you really think that’s going to do anything to deter gun violence except make it more expensive to carry out? As for funding gun violence research. We know that all mass shootings have taken place in gun free zone; that’s enough research, just somebody pay attention to it.

If you remove the stats of Chicago, DC, and now Seattle, we have one of the lowest gun murder rates in the world This is a matter of poor law enforcement. Honduras has a population of 8.2 million people; bans citizens from owning guns…..has the highest homicide rate in the world. How could that be!!! Switzerland has a population of 8.2 million people; REQUIRES citizens to own guns….has the lowest homicide rate in the world (practically nonexistent)….should we take anything from this?????

“The movement g grows!”….. like mold or poison ivy. The Second Amendment is still alive and well, as is the NRA. If you are really concerned about gun violence and want to do something about it, I strongly suggest you contact the NRA…..these crimes are not being sponsored, financed or committed by NRA members.

BTW, there are more incidents where lives are SAVED by guns than killed by guns. But you didn’t know that because it never makes the liberal news.

Apparently you only read the parts that agree with your poorly thought through opinions. From Wiki:
Potential Costs and Harms[edit]
Some information security experts[who?] argue that smart guns that might "create new, serious safety issues for gun owners and non-owners alike." Joseph Steinberg wrote that "biometrics take time to process and are often inaccurate – especially when a user is under duress – as is likely going to be the case in any situation in which he needs to brandish a gun.... it is not ideal to add a requirement for power to devices utilized in cases of emergency that did not need electricity previously. How many fire codes allow fire extinguishers that require a battery to operate?" Steinberg further writes that "smartguns might be hackable" or "susceptible to government tracking or jamming...Firearms must be able to be disassembled in order to be cleaned and maintained. One of the principles of information security is that someone who has physical access to a machine can undermine its security."[8] In a follow up piece published in January 2016, Steinberg noted that smartguns that utilize wireless communications to detect that the shooter is wearing a watch, bracelet, or other device may "allow criminals (and police) to identify who is carrying a weapon" undermining "one of the reasons that some states require people to carry their weapons concealed; if all civilian-carried guns are concealed criminals do not know who is carrying and who is not, so they have to fear mugging everyone, which protects the unarmed as well as the armed."[9]
Other concerns are that smart guns may make a firearm more likely to fail when needed self-defense. "Batteries go dead, temperature or moisture can harm electronics and many 'smart gun' designs, such as Armatix's iP1, require that a person wear a watch, bracelet, or other device." Smart guns may also take considerable time to be ready for firing from a "cold start."[10]
Apparently you only read the parts that agree with... (show quote)

Unfortunately, though what you explain is true, anything you say isn't going to make sense to someone who is so emotionally motivated that they can't process that information. Good try, though.

The NRA has the very best commercials on TV and Obama has been the best firearms salesman in American history. More and more states have open firearm policies where no license is required. This is a good thing. More guns in the hands of law abiding Americans means the criminals have more to fear! The liberal courts are ineffective in stopping crime so let's return to a bit of frontier justice and the Darwin theory. I know that with your New York City values you'll be shocked but you've brought it on yourselves because your responsible for the lawlessness and the disregard for the sanctity of human life.

Every time I see a post like this put up by a person who defends an ignorant position with more ignorance,it makes me want do do something to help with the problem.
I just went to the NRA website, made a donation, and ordered new t-shirts for Mrs. B. and myself.

While I don't really need a new gun at the moment, I may just go buy one while I'm in town today anyway. Out of pure unadulterated spite for people like the poster of this thread. I believe I carry my Black hawk .357 openly in the western rig I have for it too. Because I can!!

You could also find a Friends of the NRA group and join and help them with their fund raisers. Or at least you and Mrs B could go to a Friends of the NRA Dinner and have a good time.
