The president's "team" has been wrong before. I believe 13 times so far. Concerning your "no-fly list" Senator Ted Kennedy was accidentally put on the list, as was Georgia Congressman John Lewis. At least 2 US Marshalls, several active duty servicemen returning from deployments, one nun. and several toddlers of less than 2 years have also made the cut. The facts are, Alicia, there is very little verification done before a name is added to the list. There are more than 40,000 Americans on this list. Sho nuff is a pow'ful lots a terrororororests aint it? Bear in mind that few, if any of these Americans have ever been arrested for, charged with, or convicted of any terrorist related activities. Many were mistaken identity, some were actually put on there for harassment or payback. Since there is no due process, and the only way most people who were wrongfully put on this list could find out they were on it is to try and purchase a plane ticket, there is no tellling who is on there. The DHS will neither confirm nor deny who is on the list. You wanna find out? Go see if you can buy an airline ticket. You claim to respect the Constitution. There is a little thing in there about "due process."
I understand you only respect the parts you agree with, since you are ever so much smarter than the men who wrote the Document.

I might also point out both the invalidity and/or unt***hfulness of the rest of the article. Your point about background checks is taken from people who still believe the bulls**t that half the guns sold at gun shows are sold sans background check. They actually believe, as you probably do, that a gun can be purchased on line with no background check, which is a lie. I'll be willing to bet that almost none of them know this "background check" business means that you have to pay for a background check to sell a rifle to a friend, or give a gun to your grandson, or otherwise dispose of your private property. Not one person I have talked to who "favors" universal checks had any idea that this is the real meaning. When they find out what it actually entails, they are no longer supportive of the idea.
You are a typical Liberal; We justHAVE to do something, even if it's wrong, (and it almost certainly will be ).

What does the mouthings of a bunch of overpaid and underbrained basketball players who will say anything for a dollar have to do with anything?
There is one more stat you neglected to mention: The number of firearms in private ownership is exploding, as is the number of concealed carry permits being issued, and 2 more states have passed permitless carry. In spite of far more guns in circulation, far more gun owners and far more lawful gun carriers, the murder rate continues to drop, except for those pesky places with large numbers of black and Hispanic gang bangers.

While your do-nothing right-wing Congress is still doing nothing. the "law" proposed by President Obama is being put into the works by smaller governments (state) and grass-roots organizations. It is not necessary for me to view a list of those working with him. It's obvious that his proposals are the same as the majority of Americans - even gun owners.

The country has had enough of your vigilante-style open-carry (to the extent of military arms) and the law WILL be changed according to the WILL of "the people."

President Obama began his quest with requesting registration of arms and users. After all, cars must be registered and they are no more dangerous than guns in the hands of i***ts who use them as penis extenders. This is the best description of open carry, small-penised fools.
