You know that the republicans had the same idea. But because the democrats put it into effect, they are trying their hardest to derail it. However, it is a red-heron due to the fact that they could have made it more affordable to the citizens than what they have. They should have used Germany as their template instead of Canada. It has worked for them with fewer complaints. But, unfortunately, most of our health care is owned and run by lawyers. We need a leader that has the interest of the country first and foremost. Not looking to increase their coffers before being v**ed out of office.

Alternatives? $100,000 hospital bill (God forbid) for say a car accident.

I am as reluctant to go to the hospital as you probably would be to go to a witch doctor. It took my years to get to this place, but if I was going to wear a medical alert bracelet it would say "Do not hospitalize."

I think it will take more than one leader.

What would either have to do with foreign affairs they have never been president but think Obama has gone well? The whole mid east is a mess, gives Iran just what they wanted and that's well???

I think he has done better with foreign affairs than Romney or McCain would have. I think he avoided 2 or 3 was that the Republicans would have started. But that is a whole different topic and should probably be on a different thread.

Two broken legs, one broken arm and internal injuries and your going home? Son was sitting at a stop light 8 years ago and that was the outcome. If it was for our insurance I'd still be paying that off.

Key phrase is would have. If either of them had won we would probably be in more wars. As for Iran, it is a 6 month deal that allows us to watch them. It is just a first step in a long journey. That is just my opinion, and at this point opinions are all we have. Time will bring in some facts.

That is why I am concerned with health care insurance. Not for me but for those that need it. Like I said, it took me years to get to where I am, and I don't expect anyone else to see it the way I do, but I just do not play in the orthodox medical game.

Because it is the dumbest idea they ever heard of on the federal level where the conservative ideal is to abolish laws and decrease taxes in order to increase market place competition and interstate commerce to solve domestic problems. It will work and that worries them that neoliberalism will be popular again resulting in more federal regulations of markets which leads to socialism. Unfortunately, there's no other solution and this frustrates them more to h**e it at every level rather than admit it is a good example for federal regulation to solve a problem that free enterprise capitalism cannot.

I have been trying to figure out why the right seems to h**e Obamacare so much. It was designed after Romneycare, with one of the main features as the individual mandate. That idea started with the Heritage foundation as an alternative to the left's idea of single payer.

Is it just political? Are they upset because Obama stole their ideas?

Every time I see someone from the right asked what they would replace ACA with if they could repeal it, I hear things like we should sit down and come up with a by-partisan plan, but in today's political climate the chances of that happening seem slim to none.

If you have some thoughts as to why they are so against ACA, or if you know of some concepts from the right for something to replace it with, please reply. I am open to your thoughts.

If you just want to throw insults back and forth because someone has a different view than you, please don't. A forum should be a place to discuss ideas, not throw insults.

And you find that acceptable?? I want honest politicians, if they can't be honest, what good are they. It doesn't cost them anything to be honest, but to get caught in a lie will bankrupt their character.

It will cost them, in the political game. Big company money is needed to run the campaign which means not only do they have to agree to the terms of that company they have to get all of the people to agree as well. I mean would you v**e for a person if they told you the insurance company is paying for me to run but they want me to help pass laws that will benefit them and not you?

Which would you rather deal with words and inspections, or bombs and bullets?

Little late at this stage of the game but no matter who is in there it will come to war.
