That's the one. It has nothing to do with insanity... unless he wanted to continue on and define insanity as conservatism.

Well, I would say that for decades that definition has proven true.

I think asparagus is a difficult thing to prepare for strangers, preferences are definite with that particular veggie.
I like mine thick and with a crunch, the rest of the family likes the thin stuff overcooked.

Your way is correct. Eggs Benedict is traditionally served on two halves of an English muffin, each of which is topped with Canadian Bacon and a poached egg, finished with Hollandaise Sauce. It is traditionally accompanied by asbestos or tomatoes.

Variations are fun and depend on the taste of each person, I guess.
You know the old saying... variety is the spice...

Personally,I have always debated the wisdom of Hollandaise Sauce on asbestos.

The more the world should change they more they want it to stay the same.

Oh, I don't know. The sauce might keep the dust down.

In the seventies, an 8th grader could diagram a sentence, take a pencil and paper and convert decimals to fractions and vice versa, metric to standard. They knew who their elected representatives were. Today, I interact every day with high school graduates who can't even make change. without a calculator.

Shoot, I encounter bank tellers like that. I even demonstrated for one young bank teller how it's done. He really did "not" know!!

Hey, I took some marked down individual potato chip bags to the checkout the other day, they were marked 5/$1. she charged me 10 cents because it was too hard to figure out.
But then, I was trying to say asbestos the other day and could only think of asparagus.

I have become so grateful for spellcheck....and while the 10 cent charge is funny, it's not. Don't try to up what you hand a cashier, so that pennies won't be involved in the change making. They get SO confused.

I ordered some in a restaurant once upon a time and it was difficult to tell the difference. On reflection, I should have ordered asbestos with my Eggs Benedict.

I take it you wouldn't have given the restaurant a "4-star" rating....

Plastic is probably part of the problem. There is no change made these days.
I know most of the time I slide my card and sign a tablet.
No cash involved.

Many people are afraid of any change whatsoever. Some, although they dream of it, will never relocate to a different city. Even though they are unhappy where they are, they simply can't handle change. This can also be the reason that some people cannot change jobs because they will be presented with something new to learn. It's too bad that there is so much fear.

The shame isn't in the fear, it is allowing the fear to keep a person or group frozen in place.
Not that I really need to tell you that.
There are very few missteps that cannot be repaired.

Oh, I found one. After relocating I found that I couldn't find employment. Had I the money, I would be out of this place yesterday!

Temp agencies? Day labor? Travel for work...going backward, maybe...against the tide, that is.
