You are so right about dealing in inside information to make themselves millionaires. Take Mollohan from WV as a very good example of this. His law firm made less than $20,000 a year before he was elected Representative. After his first term in office, he was deemed a millionaire. Now pray tell me how that can be on the salary they received at that time?

It is amazing isn't it and they want our trust haaaaa haaaaaa haaaaa. Please I will trust when you go in and fight for your constituents and then after a couple terms at most you leave and go back to your home town and get a job. There are a couple of true representatives in office but they are the exception and not the rule.

Is there any way we can force the removal of a Supreme Court Justice? I am not that familiar with the law, except what I have read in the Declaration of Independence, which states that "All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and The Pursuit of Happiness - that to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government.

Does this not give the people the right to remove supreme Court justices also?

Removing a Justice has been done once before in the 1870's-80's but into day climate next to imposible I would think.

I believe every politician should be elected on the platform of honesty, intelligence and common sense. If, after checking their political background, they lack any one of these requirements, they should be overlooked as a candidate. If everyone would v**e using these requirements, we could eventually weed the crooks out and once again have an American government.

I think you got that right. Probably been this way since the idea of "public service" was first thought of. I would apply it to 95% of all politicians both parties...Term limits would be great, but none of them will ever v**e for that..As said in a good book I read, Money is the root of all evil.

#5 seems very unlikely because of the dirty pool he plays. Wasn't there a woman that ran against him in the last e******n that found out just how dirty he can play? It seems that I heard something about it. I guess you can call him a true Mormon because the history of Brigham Young and the book, "The Mormon Murders" tell a story of just how crooked some Mormons are.

sc justices are appointed for life ,the only way to get rid of them is death

Can you show me anywhere in either our Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights or Constitution where it says that? I scanned them but did not pick up anywhere that it said specifically that Supreme Court Justices were a protected appointment. I have a small booklet that the NRA sent my husband for a donation that has the Declaration of Independence and Constitution in it, and I should think that any law protecting Justices from removal should be in it. I will read the entirety of it to find out, I guess.

OMGOSH! My husband just came in and handed me copies of two books we have, The Bill of Rights Primer and The American Freedom Primer that should cover everything anyone would want to know about our governmental protection, if they have the time to read them.

it there a way for the people to propose an amendment to the constution . there is no way we can get anything through congress

Poor Paul, I've driven past the place he crashed many times. Maybe Reid can blame his death on the tea party now too.
