Okay, now I'm really confused. It's not the Repubs, it's the tea party. So the tea party is mugging the president by pointing a gun at him, but he won't buy it. Why do they want him to buy the gun? Don't they know he's afraid of guns? He h**es them.
------------------------------------------------------------------
You've gotten close to the real issue. The Tea Party isn't mugging the President. The Tea Party is mugging the rank-and-file Republican Party. The GOP is a much more worthy organization than to allow that to happen, but it has happened.

Let's take a critical look at the process. Since the Tea Party has become a more prolific power on the far right and within the GOP, our governmental processes have been slowed down and otherwise negatively effected. That would not have happened without the baggers, would it???

This is strictly my opinion, but the Republican Party is much more moderate (call it slightly right of center) without the Tea Party's influence. The party has not improved nor has it come close to electing a president since inception. So what's the point? Just to disrupt existing processes? I doubt it, but that was the actual outcome.

The Tea Party hasn't helped the GOP one iota. It's time for the GOP to recognize that and push the baggers out of office. They haven't helped the party and haven't helped the nation.

Now now people I just think we can get by by not calling people twits.

Can we just agree that what comes out of Washington is less than we deserve as Americans no matter what party they are from.

Lets just say that if there are any twits there sure are a lot in Washington.

LOLOL>....yea , because it has been legislated into LAW .

Get 75% of the 50 STATE LEGISLATURES to REPEAL IT , and it goes away .

Which btw they will most certainly DO , if the ACA is the DESTRUCTIVE MONSTER all the naysayers claim it to be .
The WHOLE IDEA OF I***TS LIKE CRUZ AND HIS LOT IS , K**L IT BEFORE THAT CLAIM IS PROVED WRONG .
And the ONLY way to do that is to threaten a shutdown if it is DEFUNDED .
And THAT is NOT what the MAJORITY of the e*****rate v**ed for . And recent polls prove that by showing that though a greater MINORITY are wary ,than those who are not or undecided--- **62% ** of Americans --- FAVOR ACA and are willing to give it a chance .
And this country IS NOT RULED BY MINORITIES .

Trying to force this nation into a sane fiscal path is mugging? Not sure where I agree with that insanity.

Immigration is also existing LAW and Obama and Dems refuse to enforce it. In fact they have said so publicly

Yea , you're also a " get-it-backwards-ian ". The Republicans are the ones who want to attach DEFUNDING of ACA , threatening to shut down government .
ACA is already law . And any funding is found in the budget .

The original purpose of the separation of powers and the two houses of congress was to slow down the process. If the process is too done too quickly, you end up with moronic laws being passed just to find out whats in them.

There has only been ONE p**********l e******n since the formation of the tea party, and it was close.

yea dennis , just like every president going back to JFK .
[probably even further back than that ] how in the heck do you think their numbers have reache d 12 million .

And I'm not in favor of draconian crap that Arizona pulled , which simply herds them into another State .
Alabama tried that and shot itself in the foot , because when the crops ripened they had no one to pick them .

And I'm not picking on or blaming it on GW , but he took THE EXACT SAME POSITION as OBAMA , but without pushing for a solution .

Aside from the fact that most Americans are AGAINST ACA, (the poll you quoted asked if people would prefer ACA over a govt shutdown) what you're saying is that Obama illegally postponed the employer mandate. After all, it has been legislated into LAW .

Interesting!!

Are all political chat sites meant to be strictly conservative? Of course not. They are meant for the free exchange of varying viewpoints. I'm not a liberal, but I am a Democrat. I am supportive of social programs that promote health and well being, and the preservation of the environment. I am not supportive of restrictive laws, programs, etc. that don't make sense in the 21st century - examples: I support more restrictive gun control (for the painfully obvious and visible reasons) and the open availability of a******ns.

These positions don't make me a liberal - just not a conservative. There is a middle ground and it's huge. Note my nom de plume.
Interesting!! br br Are all political chat sites... (show quote)

I am from Northern Minnesota , and I am Democrat, yes I believe in reasonable gun legislation , as civilians we do not need assault style weapons, nor more than 5 rounds in a clip. As far as a******n goes personally I am against it , but if a woman is going to have a n a******n I want her to have it in the safest possible environment , there will always be demand for a******n ,restricting access to a******n onlty opens up unsafe means for a******n and I am against that

Close only counts with horseshoes and hand grenades .
When Bush beat Gore , it took the Supreme Court to finalize the v**e .
