You are absolutely right, and it was done deliberately to buy v**es. If the Dems can't buy v**es, they'd never win an e******n. Their giving your money and my money to panhandlers is no more moral than stealing a blind man's loaf of bread. The sociopaths on the left don't have a solitary moral amongst the whole lot.

While I don't disagree with your comment, my question was asked of Jelun, and I would like a direct answer to the question posed.

Haha! Try getting the GOP to be an example of reducing the size of the Gov. - by eliminating 50% of their staff, paying for their own insurance, buying their food, and what not, out of their paychecks and refusing government retirement until they turn 75 - and see how many line up to do so.

If it were ONLY the democrats that were to blame - the GOP would have fixed that - every time they were in power. Since they didn't...................................

It's too easy (and inaccurate), to blame a single party for our woes. The fact is, EVERYONE in DC is a t*****r - no matter WHAT party they come from. We did NOT get here by democrat alone. I know we all want OUR team to be the good guys, but it simply isn't so - and that's too bad.

How about some prison sentences with remuneration of our assets they have stolen from us over the decades?

Yes,, why is it so difficult to see what is so obvious by now? The 2-party duopoly is rotten to the core. Call it plutocracy, oligarchy, corporate socialism- all these terms accurately apply. Too few people are engaged in or even aware of how our vital systems function for this to be the constitutional republic once envisioned. Can people work together for a better way? What would a 21st century revolution look like?

I think that is his point. Any time we lay blame on any issue, it must be spread out from the dems to the pubbies as well, even though the dems are master criminals, thieves and liars and the pubbies are babes at it. They are both guilty, but not to the same degree or at the same things.

I say it would be a tax revolt. People would refuse to be held up for their hard earned money simply so congress could have a ball wasting it. Most of us would be given housing, food, clothing, health care in prison at taxpayer expense.........but there wouldn't be any taxpayers.......OTOH, guess we would be locked up to starve.

deserves applause

:XD:

I will say that a 21st century revolution would look like mass suicide. Our Rulers have all the big weapons, you know.

I believe you are absolutely correct. In any case, what would a revolution consist of? It certainly could NOT be an armed revolution, as the rebels would immediately be classified as home grown terrorists - and destroyed by the very same "well regulated" m*****as that they themselves pretend to be.

The problem began when we insisted on continuing with the "representative Government", even after it was no longer necessary to do so. In 1789, when it might take days to reach the capitol, it made sense to be "represented" there, for the purpose of doing the people's business - how long has it been now, that it is mere hours away? Especially in this digital age, where tele-presence is not science fiction, is it clear that we no longer need that type of Government. Considering that we are no longer BEING represented - it makes even less sense.

There is no substantial reason why the citizens could not be involved in ALL legislation. Dissolve the Congress, let the States hold referendums, and the results dictated to the executive branch for application. T***sfer all debt to Wall Street - and let them manage it, with the stipulation that the tax payer will NOT be bailing them out if they screw up - again.
I believe you are absolutely correct. In any case,... (show quote)

Hackers? People who don't have access to the internet?
I would certainly consider the idea, the fact is there is no reason that citizens cannot be involved now.
Telephone calls, internet, snail mail.

I don't think that argument holds much water anymore. They're both guilty of plenty of the same things: of frontiing for a corrupt, immoral banking and monetary-system, of perpetuating a warfare-economy that thrives on problems and conflict; of exploiting and manipulating the people who v**e for and support them, of not abiding by our constitution....both parties have had their share of criminals, perverts,, c***ts, liars...need I go on? This is why nothing changes. So many people(am not saying you specifically) still believe their "side" is the "lesser of two evils" and thus the cycle continues. A little more, a little less, evil is still evil, and they all need to get the boot.

NOW? That's not how the "system" is set up. Now the Rulers tell the People how things will be, while the People have no role in the Balance of Powers.
