I Would never carry a concealed permit, or register one. I think it is a way to say to the government "ha, over here, I have a gun." If I carry it, it is incognito. I have never needed to use it but if I had a gun it would be a 32 Derringer. so small I could get rid of it without notice. I would not want to he a hero. I would just stop the violence and leave. The gun would be in a river or ocean. Never seen again. I know the second amendment to the constitution gives me this right. I am aloud to have a gun. it doesn't say anything about sticking around for the inquiry after the incident. You must know I don't owne any guns but if I did that is what I would do.
I think all those i***ts in Washington dc should pay for everything they v**ed on.

I think your views re this are well thought out and sensible. I, too, wouldn't want to be hailed as a hero for several reasons, the worst of these reasons being that then big daddy gov KNOWS I have one and know how to shoot it. That would make me the "enemy" of today's government. Another reason: the political left would hound me, deriding me for the rest of my natural life. They despise the good guys because the good guys are not part of their crowd.
Peter, you say "we" aren't paying off the debt? In what way can "we", meaning taxpayers, pay off the debt? When has Congress ever listened to our requests, our demands? Congress made the debt, it is NOT my debt. The debt belongs to CONGRESSMEN WHO V**ED TO EXTEND AND EXTEND AND EXTEND IT, AND I WANT THEM HELD ACCOUNTABLE. Citizens NEVER authorized them to create debt, let alone, constantly extend it. Nope that debt is in no way mine OR YOURS. What we pay in income taxes merely pays the interest on the debt. Anyone out there think all of this is by design. I think it is by design: lenders help the politicians and the politicians pay them off with OUR money. Quite a sweet set-up, huh?
