reading this forum on health is like reading what a bunch of idoits have to say about Obama Care. You hear about Doctors quitting and retiring. Bull Crap.. I talked to several Doctors and even though they are not crazy about AFCA the doctors who went into medicine to heal people will still be there. Those who went into medicine for the money, well GOOD RIDDANCE. I don't want a doctor working on me just because of the money. bottom line how many doctors can afford to retire. how many did u c retire before. Most doctors are working well into their 70's because they cant afford to retire. Stop hating and let some logical thought run through those "P" BRAINS. Additionally I read the worst things about the health care and they are all hypothetical , none are based on facts, all are fear tactics. Again how about using some logic and lastly, congress not including themselves in AFCA . Let c, when was the last time congress put themselves under any program that applies to the working stiff. Ohhhh "NEVER" why is this so different. Why was congress able to buy stock in company they new their legislation was going to impact. 'every heard of insider trading. Congress has not and never will place themselves under any working stiff program unless it will benefit them. WAKE UP STOP HATING

Great for you but did you bother to ask how many will retire early? According to three surveys I've read 62% of doctors plan to RETIRE in the next one to three years because of the paperwork this will cause.

Another problem, this trades insured for uninsured, roughly 50,000 more will be uninsured.

Another problem, take money from take was paid by citizens for their future use and throw it in Obama care, government stealing.

Web page link can't be t***sferred with Android and the page name was long long. It was hand type from the page, I thought that number was high so I check another page and the same came up. Numbers can be reworked to suit the purpose but even if it's 50% and you added more customers that's going to be long wait times just for an appointment.

Roy, I too use a CPAP machine and will be getting an inhaler soon. Bureaucrats are not medically competent to decide what best meets a patient's needs. They usually follow instructions received from their supervisors who may know as little medicine as their subordinates. The rationing will become more apparent as more Obamacare rules are rolled out. This rationing will be realized for what it is as the 'death squads' decide who will receive the operations or medications necessary to sustain life for the patient. I've heard 75 is the limit for profitability.

My Wife was a GP (General Practitioner) Her chief complaint about her job was the hour or so a day she would sometimes spend argueing with an Insurance clerk (educational level just above high school) about whether or not a procedure or medication was medically indicated in order for the insurance to pay for it. This is an example of a medical system run by a for profit corporation with little or no constraint or regulation and no competition.

You do have a point and if the kenyan c****e muslim Prez was not so intense on destroying America. If the kenyan c****e muslim Prez hadn't destroyed the comgress by blaming them for every little thing. If kenyan c****e muslim Prez had actually allowed this bill to come up and get v**ed on in the normal manor maybe something could have come out of the discussions and we could have a decent bill. But since it went the other way we are now entangled by the left not wanting to budge one inch on their bill and not wanting to compromise and dingy Harry not allowing anything republican to be brought up in the senate we are at an impasse. So the question remains since no one wants the OIllegalcare bill and the democrats want a single payer system and thus gain more control over the country how do we go about resolving the differences? There are many solutions and some have been presented but we always end in gridlock. The kenyan c****e muslim Prez is intent on destroying us and right now our congress doesn't appear smart enough to figure this out.

Hmmm....Let me gently point out that referring to the President as a "Kenyan c****e muslim Prez" is just me having a little fun at the expense of the fringe right by paraphrasing a common non-sequitur. What you fail to understand I think is that a single payer public option would be only for those that cannot afford their own private health insurance from one of the big Insurers. A public option would keep pressure on the big Insurers to be more competitive and less arbitrary in their denial of benefits. It's all about striking a balance between the public and private sector, a concept that benefits everybody.

This is nonsense. Did you hear that ninety percent of doctors who tried Camels went back to women? Statements made by doctors like this ( a particularly cantankerously diverse group) is just scalpel rattling to scare someone. They have mortgages and kids to put through college like everyone else.

Yeah, strike a balance, free or little cost for 100,000 while you raise rates threw the roof on 300 million, yeah that's real balance.

Thank you for sharing that but you offer no evidence? (you know that pesky little thing people ask for in a serious debate...)

Sorry Android does not cut and paste so I have two or three web sites open. I dd make a typo not 100,000 but 1,000,000. Total insured will drop roughly 150,000 and it will be a trade for those insured now with those who have none. Not a win no matter how you look at it.

Unions are asking to double dip on this and the WH told there was no way they could do this. With union hours being cut along with their health care ObamaCare is about half of their coverage now.

What about those whose mortgage is paid and their kids are through college? I was 53 and my wife 51 when we reached that plateau. Many physicians fall into the same category.

My point is that younger doctors (majority are under 50) are not going to quit their profession at the rate of 62% because their income is c*********d.
What will they do, become greeters at Walmart? Is that the threat? :-D

Not necessarily, but they will seek other vocations, as mine is seriously contemplating.

Who knows, perhaps some will enter politics where all the gravy is. They don't have to work there either. Many already have, by the way. Comparatively young ones at that.

Yes but the babyboomers are retiring at 10,000 a day and that is many doctors included. Average day is 12-14 hours and average burn out age is 55. Average age after all schooling is 29 so that gives then 26 years of in the field. It's a numbers game of demand and supply. Roughly 1 in 10,000 go into that line of work.
