Thomas Sowell speaking about Obamacare

In speaking about national health care programs Thomas Sowell has said: It is amazing that people who think we cannot afford to pay for doctors, hospitals, and medication somehow think that we can afford to pay for doctors, hospitals, medication and a government bureaucracy to administer it.
I have to wonder why so many people want to see what Sowell is talking about to happen. Why do so many not understand that the program we call Obamacare is just what that bureaucracy will have to be created to do? It will cost so much more than just the health care itself, but many just can't accept that cost as part of the plan.
An example of that bureaucracy would be IPAB. How about all the regulations HHS has created to enforce Obamacare? Doesn't it take a huge bureaucracy to enforce all those regulations?

Yes and we all have examples right in front of our collective faces also.
All we have to do is look at Europe and Canada and other countries that have health care as OIllegal is proposing in this country and see how well it doesn't work.
We also see each and everyone of these countries going bankrupt and we feel that somehow if we go down that same road that we will be wiser than everybody else and our plan will somehow work where theirs failed.
We have to be the most gullible people in the world if we believe that pile of horse manure because everyplace in the world where it has been tried it has been a total disaster financially as well as healthcare wise.

Having lived in Europe for over 20 years, I can state that while in some countries the medical care is great (Germany and The Netherlands) in most of the other countries I would be frightened to take a member of my family for help.
I also know that even in Germany and The Netherlands you have to wait for long periods of time for operations that are considered not emergency; i.e. gall bladder (3 month wait) as well as others. In England, if a person has reached the average life expectancy, the government will not allow you to have such life saving surgeries as bypass surgery to name one. If you are past that magic number, you no longer have any value so why 'waste' the money.

They have that already built into the OILlegalcare bill and they are called death panels and I am sure that they were set up the same as they were in Europe as that was their model. I believe that I have heard that the magic number in the US under this nightmare is 75. But everybody is different and some are still in otherwise good health and will probably have a long life yet if certain surgeries are allowed but will be forced to die a slow and painful death without the surgeries. After all of these fools are out of office they to shall age and maybe it would do them good to consider that fact.

True, but imagine the degradation of health care when the likes of Nancy Pelosi have to modify our care to fit the governments budget.

Lets consider the added expense of a bureaucracy to run Obamacare. We should since the left hasn't looked there yet. Just think, when that bureaucracy does what has been mentioned here, already we can see that health care will cost much money but that bureaucracy is there to make sure that rationing takes place and old people aren't to be allowed to live.
I was just hit with some of that rationing this morning. It is the state Medicare people deciding that I didn't need the concentrator of oxygen I had had for over 5 years. My doctor read the results of the test they ran on me and said you certainly do qualify and within a week the provider called and said Medicare said I don't. I have enough COPD that at some times at night my CPAPP machine just doesn't force enough air into my lungs and the little bit of oxygen was making a lot of difference. I believe that one night I won't be able to get enough oxygen and will no longer be a burden on the nation. Rationing is what this all comes to.

A lot of company's are also dropping the other shoe on their employees as they tell them that they are no longer covering the spouses of those employed and/or they telling their employees that after the first of the year everyone will be part time. So with a midnight v**e by only the democrat party which is illegal and the stroke of the pen from OIllegal we have destroyed a good portion of the economy here in the United States. I never thought I would see our destruction come from within and so swiftly as well. I had grown up with p***e in our country and those that I grew up with had p***e as well. I guess that thew state run news agencies covered up things even back then to fit their more liberal agenda, otherwise I don't think we would have arrived at this place so swiftly.
