Jobs going overseas has been going on for a while.. but the real job exodus started in the late 80's and went strong for many years. It's not nearly where it was then. Personal freedoms can mean such different things to different people... it dictated my v**e last e******n. I always feel like I am picking the lesser of 2 evils either way... and rumitoid? I agree that both have lost sight of the ideals of this country

Molly dear heart, if the reason you v**ed for Obama was because you felt he was the lesser of two evils, you are desperately in need of some serious psychological help. How anyone could think Romney was "evil" is really ill. Or was it because of his Mormon faith? If that is the reason then you are quite bigoted. If I am coming on too strong I am sorry, but I shan't apologize.

To me, Obama personifies evil. (You will notice I used the correct spelling of his name rather than what I normally call him.)

I'm a woman, start there. On top of that I honestly couldn't identify with the h**e I saw coming from that party... I was very put off and disgusted by the h**e and anti Americanism (just my humble opinion) that I saw. I am all about separation of church and state.. religion doesn't make a difference to me (save one obvious exception) and I felt like Republicans were using religion as a hammer while ignoring actual religious teachings.. I mean if you are gonna use it at least use it accurately. I felt like Republicans were basically saying their religion was going to influence all of their legislation and I don't believe that it's ok to use religion to decide what people can do with their lives... while I may share their "religion" I did not agree with them using it for everyone regardless of their views on religion. I felt they had a hard time being Americans, Republicans, and Christians all at the same time without forcing the latter two onto the first. I didn't feel their economic plan was feasible (neither was Obamas), I am for gay rights as its an issue that hits close to home, and as a women I was very put off by Romney. So those are my reasons.. you may not agree with them or get them but they were MY reasons. Do I love Obama? NO.. I don't. But I will be honest.. unless the right gets their act together I won't be able to v**e for any of their candidates any time soon. They are downright h**eful, rude, they love trying to hold up government in this country and no candidate will even go up that isn't far right enough.. there is no wiggle room with them. I'm a pacifist, a glass half full kind of person and I cannot deal with the paranoid psychosis I have been seeing from them.

Molly with all due respect, and I mean that sincerely, you haven't a clue as to what a Conservative is. I am not referring to pseudo Republicans. You have been brainwashed to the nth degree. I don't doubt the sincerity of your beliefs, but I do challenge them. They aren't rational.

Additionally, I don't doubt you are a woman. I have yet to meet a man named "Molly". Although there were some Irish that were referred to as Molly's during the building of the railroads during the late 1800's. Why, I haven't the slightest idea.

Rumi the "Alinsky Conspiracy" is just that. But not as you suggest. It isn't technically a conspiracy because it is in black and white. It is right out in the open. Have you read Alinsky's Rules for Radical's? If not I suggest you make a concerted effort to do so. There you will discover what Ovomit and his minions are endeavoring to do to the USofA. And succeeding to a degree. It is not only frightening, it is chilling. After you have read it, if you do, then look at what is occurring in our homeland on a daily basis.

Gotcha again. It is lost, not loss. I'm glad you have a sense of humor as I am not denigrating you, just poking a little fun. Forgive me?

Dang, I just noticed that error in the midst of admiring my magnificent and sageous comments, which totally overwhelmed such a minor...yes, got me again! My plan: never comment on typos!

You may be the only one to believe me on this site that I never heard of Allinsky (it sounds more like a poker pseudonym than directions for a One World Government). I disappoint my liberal friends and totally aggravate my conservative friends. In my eyes, I am based in Christ, not politics. Most here readily and vehemently disagree: I am a prog or tadpole of said, a mindless minion. But you make an effort at communication and are not judgmental. Heck, that has nothing to do with it; for some unknown reason I respect your stance. You present as a good man.

Thanks again for another compliment. I shall try to not let it go to my head. LOL

While I respect other's opinions there are some who post on these forum's that I seriously doubt are their own opinions. They are too t***sparently L*****t talking points. There is no reason to engage them in debating anything. I think you may already know of whom I speak. Honest convictions I can handle. With that type of person one can have an honest exchange of viewpoints. The other type are so deeply embedded in ideology one cannot reason with them. 'Tis best to avoid and ignore them.

Agreed, and I think I know of whom you spake, speak, mean. (Did I spell all that correctly?) But you also must admit there are those equally t***sparent Righty talking points, of which I still selflessly sacrifice myself to their scathing comments. Lol. I do hope you concur, no matter how reluctantly, that a number on the Conservative side exhibit impenetrable ideology.

As for philosophy and judging people's political stances, I use ONE gauge: does the person respect individual freedoms?

Herein lies the error of your belief that you know what a conservative is. People like you are too prone to turn an individual’s liberty into license. You refuse to accept that the individual is a member of society and is thus bound by society.

I have been on this site for one day and I already can just see the typical hatred for anyone who isn't far right coming from the right on here. I am disappointed because I thought I finally might see some actual debate on here that was not the typical "everyone who doesn't h**e Obama is an i***t" chatter I am bored with. The Obama name variations that are all insults and the liberal h**e language I can see on the normal right wing h**e sights.
Here is my view.. and to let you know I am an Independent so...
To be so h**eful and degrading at all times to your elected President.. whether you agree with him or not.. is anti American. He is in office.. deal with it. Just like everyone on the other side has to deal with Presidents form your party. The constant attacks and separation and h**e towards all members of the other party is tearing this country apart, from the inside out. It is weakening us worse than any legislation could. Many people died to protect this democracy, so maybe stop being whiny babies about the fact that some one you don't like won but that a majority of the country apparently did think was leading this country in the right direction. And I can promise you many college educated people v**ed for this man because their was not another viable option who wouldn't untrude on their civil rights. Every President makes mistakes.. but this man needs to be able to run the country without having to deal with all of the crap being shoveled his way on a daily basis. Its more than a distraction. 40 times a v**e is called to repeal Obamacare knowing full well that even if you pass it there it will not get past the Senate or the President.. so how much time was wasted there? Yes you don't like Obamacare but there are many Americans who feel they need it, even if you don't see it. But lets waste more time. I watch a lot of CSPAN and nothing pisses me off more than seeing the right continue to waste time on crap that will never go anywhere just to prove a point that they don't like it.. petulant children. How about instead you work on something you can do effectively and work together on things you can agree on to run the country. Serve the people. Stop adding crap to bills that doesn't belong there... make a bill a bill instead of accepting handouts. Crazy idea what I am about to say I know but hear me out.. how about instead of wasting time fighting useless battles, you instead focus on how to make those things work for the people.. since after all that's your job. The next e******n will gauge where this country is.. but until then, suck it up. Work on finding a candidate that can appeal to the masses. There is right and there is left and then there is this HUGE group in the middle who is just waiting for a viable candidate from the right to appear. But its more rhetoric and more h**e and more attacks. The tea party has ruined the republican party. Until you guys start realizing that not everyone is like you and start figuring out why that might be.. you will not get a candidate into the oval office any time soon
I have been on this site for one day and I already... (show quote)

Hello Molly.

My isn't it a lovey day? all the birds out singing there cherry little songs. Lovely white fluffy clouds just drifting by. And oh, oh , see the pretty flowers. They all smell soooo good. Mom is home cooking wonderful little pastries, to hand out to all those petulant children, so that perhaps they to can have just a wonderful day also. And why?
Because dear little Molly, doesn't want all those whiny babies to feel bad, instead, enjoy the wonderful world around them like she does. No cares, no worries, just run along now folks, nothing to see here. Dear little Molly has just solved all our problems.

Thank you molly, for proving to me yet again, what I have been saying for well over 2 decades. Children that graduate from collage these days. Can not comprehend beyond a 9th grade level. And in your case dear Molly, if you persist in the direction your are headed, yours may drop to 7th.

If I were you Molly, I would return back to collage, and demand my money back. For it is quite clear you have missed altogether, the part about the true functioning of Government. Then I would advise you to locate your nearest library. Don't make a fuss now, but very quietly
go inside and ask to see a copy of the United States Constitution. It's only one page, so that should be no trouble for a collage grad. And you may want to also read a thing called, The United States Bill of Rights, as well as The Declaration Of Independence. {{ So when in the course of these events, these men gathered together here to form a more perfect union }} These words Dear Molly are not just words to read on an old document. These are words that may one day, save your very life.

I well not delve into the extent to which you have insulted a great many people here, just and honest all. For you are young. And have just now opened your eyes. So before you go to much further, you may want to consider your words, with a bit more care.
