I think that is a wonderful idea. It would put all of these companies out of business, wouldn't it?

Liberals may say they h**e Walmart; however, the Walton Family Foundation contributes quite a bit of money to Democratc issues, as does Costco, Target, Home Depot, StarBucks, etc., etc., etc.

It is very confusing why Democrats h**e the Citizens United Decision, considering their corporate donor list.

It IS confusing! Saying you h**e the CU decision - while holding your hand out for the money provided more generously by the CU decision.

I wasn't aware that liberals h**ed Walmart, but then, I don't hang out with liberals. Never the less, when I want Chinese products at discount prices - I shop Walmart. When I want products with American labels, but which are manufactured in China, I can shop anywhere, but the prices are usually lower at Walmart.

Just so you know, here in Arkansas ( where Walmart's corporate headquarters are ), the Walmart foundation has a magnificent and unique museum - paid for with the generous donations of billions of poor people from around the world! -( those funds being managed by the Walmart foundation.)

It took three shopping trips to find toothbrushes not made in China. I finally found some from Switzerland and some from the US.
The materials are probably from China, they didn't say so, though.
I suppose Walmart can be convenient if a person has a large amount of different items to purchase. The cons outweigh the pros in my estimation.

Back on point. The point being that Consumers Reports cannot be trusted to provide you information that is even close to accurate because they allow their personal bias and politics to interfere with it.

Gosh. I did not intend to get a thread about politics started on this topic... I was just writing a quality report about Consumers Reports as they promote themselves as doing quality reports about everyone else.

I am still trying to figure out why employees at Walmart would want to eat food stamps as tdsrnest said.

I think they call that a paradox..... which brings up this little photo written by a Yankee college student.

They need instructions from AuntiE

If you need a coffeemaker, vacuum, or other small appliance, think twice about buying it at Walmart. In our exclusive survey, we compared price, se******n, service and checkout ease of fifteen major retailers. Overall, people were less satisfied at Walmart compared to most other retailers..... A top-scoring walk-in chain. Costco"

REBUTTAL

1. You have to pay a membership fee to purchase through Costco.
2. Sam's club is more similar and in a more competing position with Costco. (both club sales) than Walmart where you do not have to buy a membership to shop -- Walmart is more a competitive position with Target, not Cosco.
3. It has been my experience that Sam's club, Costco and WallMart are all slow in their checkout.
4. WalMart has much more depth of product than either Sam's or Costco.
5. There are a whole bunch more Walmart locations than Costco or Sams. In many cities (especially small towns) you will never find a Costco or a Sams... But you will find a Walmart.

Most importantly (and if you have been paying attention, you know) liberals support Costco and h**e Walmart. They have tried over and over to unionize Walmart. They love the liberal positions of the owner of Costco.

So... Who can you trust to get the t***h, nothing but the t***h and unbiased reporting?..... NOT CONSUMER REPORTS.

Obviously you won't get it from a lib. Probably won't get it from the GOP. You won't get it from any media including Fox.
You might get it in a small town barber shop.
T***h is a scarce commodity now days. Won't find it DC.
So good luck. I quit looking for t***h in this country years ago. Especially on the media net works, news papers or magazines.
Every thing is for propaganda purposes. You know like Hitler did just before he really took over.
Again good luck. Please let us know if you happen to find it.
You know, I don't know of any news outlet that has the word t***h in it. Hmmm.

Good day.

I have to ask about outsized power you give to Hitler as time goes by.
Could you compare for us the number of nations there are and the number of nations that Hitler and his N**is were able to take over and for how long?
So speaking of t***h, I guess we won't get it from you, either?

Using Hemiman's criteria you just confirmed tdsrnest's contentions. Good reason for that, of course, it is true.
I almost went to shop at Walmart a week or so ago to reward them for the tiny wage increase they are giving their entry level employees. I then read this.

http://billmoyers.com/2015/03/31/walmart-lowes-safeway-nordstrom-bankrolling-nationwide-campaign-gut-workers-comp/
That was the end of any plan to go to Walmart in the near future.
Why does a profitable corporation want to hurt their workers that way? Only one reason...to put them on Social Security Disability rather than compensating them for injuries on the job and money, money, money.

he if they get hurt on the job workmans comp takes on not ss.and if you had any idea how it works you would know workmans comp is very expensive.

That would mean getting off their dead behind and actually having to work at a job, rather than sit home and type insults to conservatives.

Costco's market is the economic upscale folks - Wal-Mart's market focus is the working and non-working dependent poor.

I am unaware that Wal-mart gets any subsidies not available to any and all retailers, if you have any evidence to the contrary I've never seen it.

I guess if you aren't poor it feels good to look down your nose at those who are - at those who need a low cost merchant like Wal-Mart.

But that not true Costco is a bulk supplier of goods that if you buy in bulk you save a lot more than your membership cost. Go to Costco and watch business owners with carts full of products. The Walmart myth is crazy. They have goods that actually cost more than your local super market.

But when it comes to the TPer's they still think George Bush did not create the Great Recession of 2008. So how what you expect them to check prices.
