Saw that, thought that oil looked a little light in color. Heard one on the radio about adding fluid to the headlights and this woman was ready to pay, of course I've heard the same pranks pulled on guys.
Bmac you tellin me headlights don't need fluid????
I'm like you, didn't know about the arrow but I always knew which side for gas. I always like the Ford I had, it was behind the license plate.
************** That's where I would like them all to be. It certainly would simplify things for all at the filling station - not needing to be on any specific side.
I'm guessing a gravity fuel pump rather than electric in the fuel tank with a fuel filter that the average consumer could change. Who's bright idea was to install it in the gas tank?
*************** I can still recall when all parts under the hood were interchangeable (standard) regardless of the maker.
Not going to argue but think that may be wrong. Chrysler used a different way to produce electrical power than Ford or GM, one used a generator and the others used an alternator.

Who on here knows what the difference is between a generator and an alternator? (Yes, I do.)

Well let's see. As I recall a generator is just that in that it generates current through the car's systems by means of coil windings and a set of brushes which is controlled by a 'regulator' that works the distribution current. because of failure of the overall system Chrysler in 1960 installed 'alternators' on new models. Instead of annoying brush's and voltage regulators They had 'diodes' and overall provided a more advanced system in a more compact size.myself having started in the car business over fifty years ago as depicted by my cartoon of which I created a entire book of my experiences.

50 years huh? I have purchased many 'previously owned' vehicles in my lifetime. Perhaps you owe me an apology!
