The main reason is hasn't been sent to the house is one that the Senate attempts to violate quite often---it raises revenue--and that's unconstitutional for the Senate. Onjly the House can pass Revenue legislation. Reid and associates just can't keep their hands off of money.

I have kept at people for weeks about the fact that Obamacare has over 20 new taxes in it and it originated in the Senate. Too many people lost track of the law when the year long debate took place in both houses. Yes, Harry Reid and the insurance execs along with labor bosses failed to notice that the Senate can't originate any revenue bills according to the Constitution. So many Dems just don't know about that part of the Constitution.

Either that or they just don't care.

Oh, jack, I don't think it is that they don't care. I think that none of them knew about Article I, Section 7, clause 1. Actually they really don't know a lot about the Constitution.

Maybe the best part of all this is that the decision by Roberts put Obamacare in real jeopardy since there are so many taxes in it and he called a tax law. What happens the next time the Court gets it brought up?

You sound like the product of many years of statistical lies and obfuscations. I understand how easy that is today when everything you hear or read is more often than not twisted to fit someone's agenda. Perhaps this is by design so the average person doesn't know who to trust any more. It is also why when we do see statistics, we should also delve into the reporter's political agenda as to what would motivate this person to lie. Otherwise we would all be absolutely convinced g****l w*****g is real, the EPA only has the public's concern at heart and Obama is the epitome of t***h.

Harry Truman once said, "There are three kinds of lies: Big lies, little lies and statistics." I'll wager there's about a 9 in 10 chance you will agree with that statement! :)

Of course it's by design. In this age of information overload why shouldn't the powers that be that is trying to do harm to America capitalize on this great scheme of disinformation and obfuscation.

Not to sound like a screaming inforwars i***t but I believe politicians on both sides have tried squeezing every ounce of America's gullibility because they know the average American are not very well informed either by choice or like you said by design. That saying “Americans v**e by their wallets” is still true. However Americans, especially the younger generations including mine, are starting to v**e on what sounds good and being promised lucrative entitlements without being told or let alone know of the strings attached to said entitlements. If politicians can woo and manipulate people to v**e a certain way, it will come to a point in time where facts and history will be ultimately irrelevant then we no longer have politicians, just master manipulators. That is the downward slope towards tyranny.

In this world of easy access information it’s not hard to manipulate numbers, create completely falsified statistics or deliberate obfuscation of facts in order to enforce a political view over another. Both sides are equally guilty of these tactics. Even the government statistics can sometimes be skewed.

What to do about it? I think Glenn Beck had the best solution of all. Do your own homework. I think if Americans would take the time to get some information and only from one source but multiple sources from all sides to get different perspectives then it simply comes down to getting close to the t***h as possible or going by what is most logical overall. The eye is of the beholder, ultimately. This is the advantage of ‘true Centrists’ that they’re not heavily biased on either end. Unlike some pretenders here in this very forum…

Do you think there's a possibility the Senate's actions are similar in nature as the following statements?

"I'll be right there" when someone asks you to help them do something you have no intention of doing. It saves you the agony and arguments of declining;
"I met her. You'll love her. She has a great personality" when you are forced to find a blind date for a friend and the pickings are rather slim. Yes, you lined the guy up with a date, but chances are it will be the last time he trusts you to fix him up again.
"My check is in the mail" -or- "What d'yer mean my check wasn't signed?" Oh, sure, you contributed and looked like you made an effort, but in the end it was a big, fat nothing.

As for the Senate, "We'll forward the bill to the House tomorrow" -or- "I'm glad the political battle in this chamber is over. I hope the House comes up with a similar version of the bill so we can blend them someday" -or- "Say, you know that bill we passed earlier today? Do you know where the master copy is so we can forward it to the House? You haven't seen it, huh?"

In the end, their actions come down to the phrase, "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bulls__."

Most Americans want the laws that are on the books enforced. Instead, we get Obama suing the State of Arizona and Rubio generating a watered-down version of amnesty in the Senate. My policy is simple, "If you're here illegally, you get nothing - no welfare, no job, no education, no medical, no nothing. You may as well stay home because this is a country that doesn't reward lawbreakers. If you come here legally and want a better life for you and your family, we welcome you with open arms. The best of good fortune to you!"
