I learned that I am in a very small minority this morning.

I see that you haven't read the link on a new thread today about how those very people are threatening to stop giving to GOP candidates. The names of three Senators of the RINO group are mentioned in the article. I forgot to say that I consider Rubio to be one of those RINOs.

No oldroy, I didn't read (see) that link. However, I would be/am very curious as to who "those very people" are. As I stated previously, the preponderance of Silicon Valley are firmly in King Obama's camp. Would you mind pointing me to the link of which you speak? Thanks.

I was listening to Congressman Israel, (D-NY0 talking about the immigration bill that the Senate hasn't sent to the House yet, (I wonder why that is) and he said that 87% of people in the US want comprehensive immigration. Of course, that puts me in that tiny minority. The thing that bothers me most is that although that 87% wants immigration reform I am pretty sure that not all of them want it in that comprehensive form from the Senate.

Do any of you in the 87% really know that although the Senate passed that abortive bill over 2 weeks ago they haven't sent it to the House yet? Why are they pushing so hard when they don't even share their bill with the House. Could it be political, only, or could it have something to do with constitutionality?

Do you think there's a possibility the Senate's actions are similar in nature as the following statements?

"I'll be right there" when someone asks you to help them do something you have no intention of doing. It saves you the agony and arguments of declining;
"I met her. You'll love her. She has a great personality" when you are forced to find a blind date for a friend and the pickings are rather slim. Yes, you lined the guy up with a date, but chances are it will be the last time he trusts you to fix him up again.
"My check is in the mail" -or- "What d'yer mean my check wasn't signed?" Oh, sure, you contributed and looked like you made an effort, but in the end it was a big, fat nothing.

As for the Senate, "We'll forward the bill to the House tomorrow" -or- "I'm glad the political battle in this chamber is over. I hope the House comes up with a similar version of the bill so we can blend them someday" -or- "Say, you know that bill we passed earlier today? Do you know where the master copy is so we can forward it to the House? You haven't seen it, huh?"

In the end, their actions come down to the phrase, "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bulls__."

Most Americans want the laws that are on the books enforced. Instead, we get Obama suing the State of Arizona and Rubio generating a watered-down version of amnesty in the Senate. My policy is simple, "If you're here illegally, you get nothing - no welfare, no job, no education, no medical, no nothing. You may as well stay home because this is a country that doesn't reward lawbreakers. If you come here legally and want a better life for you and your family, we welcome you with open arms. The best of good fortune to you!"

I am new to the post. Not in 87%. GOP changing to Republicanos. Wants to take illegal v**es back from Democrats instead of standing up for Constitution and conservative values. What are We the People supposed to do?

Exactly. Our immigration isn't broken. Immigration enforcement is broken. If the Executive does not execute the laws passed by Congress, then it is in a state of disability. The President can be removed for disability.

This 87% is about as a big distortion (and disproportional) as that whole 99% and 1% BS from the Occupy Wallstreet drones.

As far as going by this as a poll number, liberal or otherwise can easily gear a poll towards a certian outcome. They can skew the poll questions at any degree to get the results they desire.

So is this 87% from their own political base or from a seriously mislead polling scheme? Who knows?

I got to the point that polls are irrelevant no matter from what political entities that be.

You sound like the product of many years of statistical lies and obfuscations. I understand how easy that is today when everything you hear or read is more often than not twisted to fit someone's agenda. Perhaps this is by design so the average person doesn't know who to trust any more. It is also why when we do see statistics, we should also delve into the reporter's political agenda as to what would motivate this person to lie. Otherwise we would all be absolutely convinced g****l w*****g is real, the EPA only has the public's concern at heart and Obama is the epitome of t***h.

Harry Truman once said, "There are three kinds of lies: Big lies, little lies and statistics." I'll wager there's about a 9 in 10 chance you will agree with that statement! :)

One has to wonder where they come up with these numbers. We have had this discussion before.

Why, they get their numbers from the same wonderful folks who put out the unemployment numbers, inflation numbers and poll numbers. Those same wonderful government employees who change the rules on how they are figured each month to show "progress".

I don't think that the majority of v**ers in this country want i******s to be given "amnesty" because even the "low information" v**ers have some idea of the economic disaster this would be for them. Even that jerk Dirty Harry knows this. He is holding the bill until such time as he can figure out a good enough lie to tell people about how it will be paid for. He knows it will be a boon to dems/progs as far as v**es are concerned, but the v**ers need to know that they can pull this off without it costing them money (which is impossible). I am curious to see what lie they come up with to fool their v**ers into thinking that amnesty will either cost nothing or even make money for the country.

But we can see a link on the forum at this time that says the Republicans pushing immigration aside will cause them trouble in Silicon Valley. Already, they are making noises about ceasing to support GOP Congressmen and women if they don't pass the bill Harry has in his pocket. The article even mentions Obama not getting to sign the bill. Obama doesn't know about origination so of course he goes ahead and signs them just like he did his signature law, Obamacare.

I wonder about that 87% and all of them who are in this thread now.

Any revenue generating bill, (like S.744) has to originate in the House. That is why we have the constitutionality of the bill questioned. As for the 87% figure, I personally think that came from the same place as the 90% who allegedly supported the outrageous gun control bill recently defeated in the Senate.

Where is Silicon Valley and when did they ever support Republicans for anything? Just more of the same oh same oh. Just like Schummer almost brought tears to my eyes about his concern that the republicans would never gain the presidency if we didn't v**e for this amnesty bill. I am so touched by their sudden concern for all of us. I think this bill was almost as big as OIllegalcare was and maybe they should have had Pelosi try the one where we have to v**e it in to see whats in it routine again.

LOL, Maybe its one of those bills that needs to be signed so we will know whats in it ... You know, like the rest of the story. This is why Obama care is in so much disarey now, the republicans went along with it and look where we are now. It's one thing after another with this thug administration, more smoke screens for us who are trying to see through all of their nonsence.

I suspect this is like the e*****rate in 2008 - many, many wanted a "change" - and they got the change. Unfortunately it wasn't the change they wanted.

I think the change the 87% want re immigration is that we once again start enforcing the existing laws re i*****l i*********n.

It's the only thing that makes sense, hence I doubt Congress will take that road.
