Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, UJ.

Liberals only want students to regurgitate so-called "facts" they are told are correct. No L*****t-Liberal-Socialist-Progressive-Democrat wants people to think for themselves.

If you truly mean what you are saying, give me some examples.

What ever gave you the idea that liberals want students to regurgitate so-called facts like little robots? Liberals first and foremost are freethinkers, critical thinkers by their very nature. It's the very thing that marks the difference between wing nuts and liberals

That is your problem. You were never taught how to think for yourself.

Surprised? After some 20 years had passed, I only then discovered why the "theory of Evolution" was a total fraud. If it hadn't conflicted with my religious beliefs, I would have had no incentive to think it through.

So now I go to debate people on the "merits" of the theory of Evolution, and the best they can do is assume it's false because it's contrary to religion.

At some point you can only figure out that indoctrination and employment for union teachers are the priorities for Education in the United States.

Evolution is a theory which is the same as fact A scientific theory first begins as hypotheses and only becomes theory when confirmed by observation peer review and corroborating evidence, and testing. The evidence of evolution is irrefutable and is not Indisputable. There is nothing to argue about. You sound like you were homeschooled because you obviously don't know much about anything.

Evolution is a theory that is subject to change! Facts usually do not change unless you live in liberal land!

Thank God (if there is one) for men who have put the Bible aside and used their minds rather than emotions to discover what is possible in this world. Without them we would be nothing or Iran.

Its not about emotions! again, you've shown your stupidity on something of which you know absolutely nothing about (hint: "IF" there is a God). The only emotions I see come from f**e religions (Head chopping Islam), phony Christians (hypocrites like Obama who claim to be Christian BUT their morals and values are opposite of real Christians), and people like you (liberals) who have a stroke when someone mentions prayer, or says anything remotely adverse about homosexuals. All that America has struggled to become since her inception, and remain number one since then and ignorant liberals have managed to destroy it in less than a decade. Job well done Robert! Your mama must be very proud of you!

If the systems fails to push a right wing agenda does that mean the system is run by Bill Ayers ?

Bill Ayers/Teachers Union/c*******ts/democrats/Nickolai---all the same!

What do you call someone who has lost touch with reality ? Who says the country is gone while its still here ? Who chastises someone for questioning the existence of God when there is not and never has been even a smidgeon of proof ? Sad Sack ? Crazy ? I don't care or freak out if people pray. I talk s**t about gays myself but it doesn't mean I h**e them or think they should be discriminated against. Our country is advancing and remaining strong despite the efforts of religious zealots and naysayers. My mother is dead but yes , she was proud of me even though I may have thought different about some things as her. I believe God is for weak people , those who lack an inner confidence , drug addicts , criminals and those than are terrified of dying. It really is good thing up to a point. The overall gist of the Bible is excellent but to take it literally is foolish.

What, exactly, proves that evolution is fact? Have you seen anything evolve in your whole lifetime? If so, what is it?

Evolution, as a scientific theory, will never be proven as a fact. Neither will the scientific theories of gravity, electricity or even space-time. Your use of the word 'theory' is not the same as it is understood in the scientific community. It is a common false argument used by superstitious folks to dismiss evolution as a mere theory, and therefore suspect.

As for observing evolution during a single lifetime, that is unlikely to happen naturally as it takes many generations of genetic deviation In order for natural se******n to be manifest and observable. When you look at millions of years it is clearly evident. That does not preclude an open minded person from seeing evolution.

You can see it by considering some intentional modifications that were made to wolves giving us the incredible diversity of domestic dogs we now have as pets. Same for cats, chickens, cows, etc...We employed selective breeding as the means for deriving most of the domestic animals now living. We did it with plants and crops too. It only very recently became technically possible for genetic scientists to alter life at the molecular level. Prior to this new technology, we simply bred what we wanted with what we wanted and got (no surprise) what we wanted. It really is that simple. And it is abundant evidence supporting the mechanics of evolution.

I respect your right to the belief in the supernatural. I understand the attraction of having an answer to 'it all' and a sense of ultimate justice and of existence after death. I get it. You and I both don't believe in the thousands of Gods created by man to satisfy this need. I just happen to not believe in one more than you. No big deal. I believe you are a smart, sensitive, good person and all that. Evolution takes time. A lot of time.

First 0ff--the word 'theory' was not in my question to you.
Second--your post does NOT support the evolution THEORY. Selective breeding and domestication of wild animals does not imply evolution. If I'm not mistaken, Isaac Newton proved the fact of gravity. You're not likely to witness evolution in TWENTY lifetimes, as it's just a theory. If half the world doesn't believe something, IT HASN"T BEEN PROVEN. Why does this make me a 'superstitious' person??

Not to annoy you, and only for the sake of others who might be following this thread, I'll point out that more than half the population of this planet believed the world was flat at one time. The mechanism of selective breeding is the same mechanism of evolution except that the qualities being bred are decided by the breeders rather than nature so it is, in fact, a good example of how evolution works. You are correct that twenty lifetimes is not long enough to see it occur naturally. Finally, the monicker of 'superstitious' was used in its truest meaning; the belief in the supernatural. Was I wrong to assume your God is outside the boundaries of natural law? If so, my sincerest apologies. I have never met anyone of any of the current religious structures who believes their gods to be hindered by the restraints of natural law. Miracles are simply examples of such awesome powers. Again, I do not expect to sway your belief system, but I did want to clarify my point for others who might be open to rational thought. Sorry.
